Wow! Sounds you like you had a very nice day.

I'll be getting to the hotel between 330 and 400.

Thanks! I am trying to get an idea of what time everyone is showing up. I hope to get in in the afternoon. When flying out of Boise it is hard to get a good flight.

No I haven't done the normal (for me) after Christmas shopping, I'm trying to avoid it and save some money. Although I've seen the circulars and they are pretty tempting.

Anyway I'm partial to the pink/brown shirt as well as the martini glass.

Hope you all are having a nice weekend.

Saving money is good. Especially for the trip.... ;)

Good morning, ladies!
I did get some shopping done this week. We all got quite a few gift cards and I got a really nice gift from the office I was working as a sub in. It was a $50 gift card to the mall and a $15 to Red Robin.:goodvibes So, I went to the Disney Store (of course) and bought some of the Home stuff that is black and white. I got the serving spoon and fork, the salt and pepper shaker, serving bowl, and trivet. I wanted the vase, but I asked for that for my birthday. I love black and white for the kitchen so I am happy.:cool1:

I am shopping online today for airfare for the ladies trip. What time is everyone planning on getting there?
Good morning! I love getting gift cards. Sounds like you got some nice things!

I'm not sure what time I will be there. I am not flying, I can tell you that. Not sure some of those busses we saw flying along the freeway when we went to CA are any safer, but I just really hate to fly.

I have to look into prices and schedules soon though. I'm hoping to get there as early as possible. But that may not be until around 3 or so. :confused3

I can't believe tomorrow is New Years Eve!! My DH has to work. :sad2: So it will just be me and the kiddos. We'll order pizza, and stay up until midnight or later, lol, playing games, watching movies and just hanging out.

At midnight we'll do a sparkling cider toast and wear our party hats and make lots of noise with our noise makers. They enjoy it. Simple, but it does the trick for them.

Anyone have any New Years resolutions?? :rolleyes1

Good afternoon everyone.

I'm not sure what time I'll be flying in. I haven't booked my flight yet, but I will probably make it in sometime Thursday afternoon. Either that or Friday morning. I'm not sure yet.

Hmmmm, New Years resolutions?......I'd like to take better care of myself and live a healtier lifestyle. (HA HA HA, doesn't everyone?! Kind of a boring resolution.:goodvibes ) Oh if only I would get in shape, lose those stubborn 20 pounds that hooked their claws into my bod, drink less caffeine, drink less beer  , eat more fish................it's an endless list really.:rolleyes1

Well, I guess if I only cross off a couple things from the endless list this next year, I can call it progress anyway, right?:thumbsup2

Hi Ladies,

I know I'm a little late jumping in here, but this sounds like just too much fun! I live about 25 min from Dland and would LOVE to join you! How do I get in on the party? THANKS!

Shelly

Hi Capri. Those are always good resolutions, although I have seen your pics and you already look great!!

Shelly
Hi Shelly!! :welcome: We'd love to have you join us!! The more the merrier. And lucky you, living so close!! ;)

There's really nothing special you have to do. There is a bunch of info on the front page to look through if you haven't already. Names of who's going so far, some schedule info on what we've planned so far, and some hotel info.

Since you live so close, I don't know if you'll need a hotel room or not, but if you do, several of us will be at the Candy Cane Inn.
Anyways, other then that, there's really not much else to do. This thread had been a little slow lately with the holidays, but you are welcome to come here and chat and get to know the ladies who are going.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask and either myself or someone else will be happy to help you out. :thumbsup2

I did some researching on the bus from Vegas to Anaheim. I have a few options. I can take a Greyhound which is cheaper and offers more choices of departures times. But it's not very nice, and the total driving time with stops is close to 7 hours. And I'd have a transfer.
Oh, and it drops me off at the Greyhound bus terminal somewhere in Anaheim. LOL So I'd still have to find a way to the hotel.

OR there is a much nicer bus that will leave me at one of the hotels in Anaheim, including the Disneyland Resort. It only takes 4.5 hours. It sounds alot nicer with reclining leather seats, free snacks and drinks, a movie, an on board attendant, blankets, pillows, etc.
Kind of like an airline. It costs more, but I think it might be worth it.....

Only problem is, that bus would have me arriving at Anaheim late on Thursday. Probably not until around 8 p.m., so I'd miss dinner that night.

Well, I guess I need to think it over and decide which one I want to do.

I just wanted to say I love the new t-shirts, too. But I vote for a V neck if we have a choice. Either way, I'm in.:thumbsup2

MammaU4, if you need a ride to the hotel from the train station, let us know. DD or myself can try to pick you up and get you to the CCI.

My computer is so slow right now. I'm thinking there is something seriously wrong with it.

Anyways, I wanted to quote the picture of Dangermouse's T-shirts, but it was taking too long to bring it up. Argh!!!!!!!!! The design is very very cute. I love that it does look couture. I even think my daughters would love them.:rotfl: You said something about the writing on it could be textured. How about glitz?? Could it be glitter-like? I also like the request for a scoop neck, and maybe more fitted?
The design would be cute on caps too!
So I'm up for ordering both of the designs- the martini and the couture!

Beth, I can understand where you are coming from about the busses. It would be sad not to have you at our first dinner and meet.:sad2: After all you are the ring leader!!! Maybe you can get someone like Lulubelle to pick you up from the depot. I would, but I'm taking the train, which is a first for me. A first at least to DL.:rolleyes1

Everyone have a very

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance3: :cheer2: :woohoo: :yay: :cool1: :jumping1: party: :rockband: :dogdance: :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Hello ladies. It sounds like most everyone has had a great holiday season. I have never been this busy during December and will need a few days of sleep to recover. Luckily, I have a short trip scheduled to Hawaii in 2 weeks.

Back in November, I took pictures of the restaurants that were being discussed. I need to get those pictures posted.

I love all the tshirt designs. Thanks to those that have spent their time and talents working on them.

I also wanted to give personal thanks to Beth. You have made all the women here feel so welcome. Thank you for your warm spirit and hospitable nature.

I hope that 2008 finds each of us healthy and happy.

Beth, I went onto Amtrak to see if there's a train. It's odd, but there's not a train, but there's an AMTRAK motorcoach. It's $38 each way, leaves at 8:50 and gets you into Union Station at 2:55. Then, it's an easy transfer to the metro train that takes you to Anaheim. Not sure if that's a good option for you, but it's not a plane and would get you in to Anaheim at a reasonable time.

Another option, according to Expedia, you could order a rental car from Payless rental for $62.00 (plus fees) total for 4/24-4/28. It might be a nice option, give you some flexibility while you're there. Then, you might even be able to meet up with the Palmdale/Apple valley group, too.

Thanks for all the feedback ladies! My dh has been getting pricing and trying to find shirts that match most of the requests posted here.

It looked to me like pink won out over lime green. If we want to flaunt our LGMH, then we can put them on our backpacks, purses, etc.

We've come up with four options to choose from. There was a very limited amount of shirts available that provide larger than XL, so we only have one option for those who need larger sizes. The other three are available in S,M,L, XL. All the t-shrts range in price from $11-$13 each if we order 20. If we order less, they'll go up in price; order more, they get cheaper.

Click on this link to view the options and vote for the one you want (the submit button is at the bottom of the page):

Thanks!

Callie

I voted the one I like the best, but to be honest, if we have ladies who need xxl, then that's the one I think we should go with.

I voted as well. I agree about going with the XXL if we have ladies that need that one.

Hapy New Year!!!!!:wizard:

T-UPDATE:

Understanding that there may be some ladies who are more comfortable in a larger shirt. . .

My dh has done some more extensive searching and has found one other option of a Hanes v-neck fitted t-shirt that goes up to XXXL (b/c they are fitted, you should order a size up). It is only available in black or pink though. No brown available. So we could do black shirt with pink logo, or pink shirt with brown logo.

They are in the same price range. I will probably start the poll over with only shirts that go up to a XXL or larger, but can't do it tonight. We're heading out for the evening.

Happy New Year to everyone!

I will go with whatever works for everyone!! Callie on the original vote sheet, we never had a choice of lime green. Was that because you couldn't do it???

Would it be possible to do pink shirt with green, or black with green? Just wondering??

Thanks!

Melody
