I've only read the first post, but this sounds like so much fun! I think I might drive over and meet up for one of the days, but I'm not sure which one.

I am excited!

Hi there!! We'd love to have you join us! I'm sure you saw the list of those going and the schedule since you read the first post. We will continue to add to it as plans are made, so keep checking there. And if it works out that you can come for more then a day, even better!! :thumbsup2

Hey ladies, I just wanted to remind you about the roomie thread for those of you who said you were interested in that. (link in first post, first page)

I know it seems awkward to room with someone you've never met but think of it this way, you really don't spend much time in your room. And especially on this trip because you won't have kids that need to go back for a mid-day break. We'll be out from morning till night having a blast!!

Also think of it as saving more money for drinks, food, and shopping! It's like saving 50% off whatever rate we end up getting. That's a good deal!!

On the WDW '06 trip I went on, the gal I shared a room with was not someone I knew very well. She had a son about the same age and the same name as mine! That one connection was all it took. We decided to give it a try, and by the time the trip arrived, we'd chatted enough online and on the phone, that I felt like I knew her.

We are still friends now. :)

So, for those who were interested, go ahead! Don't be shy!! LOL

Or I can always assign roomies if you want..... Or put names in a hat..... :rolleyes1 :lmao: :lmao:

Hi, ladies!

I have not been on all weekend long. :sad2: But I am happy to say that I am done Christmas shopping! :yay:

I am excited that Thanksgiving is coming soon!
This year we are taking Maddie to see Enchanted and then we are having Thanksgiving at my mom's with my family. We usually have turkey, stuffing, ham, mashed potatoes, salad, some sort of jello-mold, green bean casserole, sweet potato casserole and rolls. And then apple pie and pumpkin pie. I love it! After we eat we play a board game or two and call it a night.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving, too!

I am really hoping the cost of flights go down....I am really anxious to get my ticket but the prices have been unusually high.:confused3 I am really surprised SW doesn't have any good fares. They usually do this far out. Ah, well....I will wait and see.

I wish that I could just drive down...but we only have one car and DH will need it to take Maddie to daycare and the thought of driving alone through Nevada gives me the heebie-jeebies.:scared: It makes me think of the movie, "The Hills Have Eyes.":scared1::rotfl:

I like the slogan Girls Gone Disney! I think we should put that on a tee shirt and wear it on Sat or Sun.:thumbsup2 It would be really cute. Very clever slogan, Tink33 (Sorry, don't know your real name. I need to print out the name list:blush:).

Well, I am going to go relax and watch a flick before bed. Have a great night, everyone!

And :welcome: to all the new ladies!! :jumping1:

Hi January! Wow, I'm impressed. Wanna do my shopping too? ;)

We are taking the kids to see Enchanted too! It looks so cute. And our dinner will be almost the same as yours. Minus the ham, and jello-mold. Oh, and we have pecan instead of apple pie. :thumbsup2

:lmao: OMG, when we drove from MI to NV, we passed a few places like that. We even joked about it!! LOL

I hope the flights come down. That sucks.

Am I going to have to give you a pop quiz on the names..... :rolleyes1 :teacher: :rotfl2:

Um......I've been shopping this weekend too......went to Costco......made some online orders......oh dear, spent WAY WAY WAY TOO MUCH!:rolleyes1

And I'm not even done yet. I still have to shop for my MIL, BIL, DF, and DM.

Good Morning ladies!!! Could we go on this trip now? I'm so sick of installing my new floors in my house I would just love to leave and have them be magically done for me when I get back!

I hope everyone has a good Monday! I need to do some shopping for Thanksgiving. Its hard to think about when its 85 degrees outside!

For the t-shirt slogan:

Girls Gone Disney

Do you think Disney would have a problem with Jessica Rabbit wearing a lime green thong, stripper shoes and holding a margarita? :rolleyes1

Girld Gone Disney is great!

Favorite ride:
Do I have to pick just one??? I love them all! I adore the Fantasyland rides, I make my family suffer through them first thing in the morning-- no lines! I love both versions of HM-- as many times as I have gone to DL.. I still find somehting new that I neve rnoticed before on HM.

Favorite character:
Tinkerbell of course! I have a gorgeous tattoo of her on my lower leg.
I have a growing interest in Alice too.

Today, I hunted down and retrieved a dresser someone posted on my local Freecycle group. The ongoing joke in my family is that a trip is never complete without making a wrong turn.. or several wrong turns. :rolleyes1

I got a nice tour of another part of a neighboring city when we turned off the highway too soon.

Whiel I was gone my nephew called and left a message ...asking what are we doing for Thanksgiving.. umm nothing.... or maybe now I'm hosting a dinner for you ? He recently graduated from Marine bootcamp, has a bit of time off before he starts his training in San Diego. Guess I need to plan to buy a turkey-- preteen, teenager, husband and a young Marine = lots of hungry bottomless bellies!

I love free stuff! DBF and I got a free bed yesterday from his cousin. It's a queen size waveless waterbed in very good condition.

Ohh...I hate that movie! It is too scarey for me! :rotfl2:

Yeah what is with the prices? Geez. I'm with you, no way I would drive down by myself. I am way too chicken of all those mountain passes. We got stuck one year when I was a kid and I have been scared ever since. It was February but still....:scared:

Hi, ladies!

I have not been on all weekend long. :sad2: But I am happy to say that I am done Christmas shopping! :yay:

Done Christmas shopping?! Wow! I am going to start calling all the stores around here today to try and find a Wii. Then I will run out at lunch and grab it. Wish me luck! Last year I had all my shopping done early but I am such a dork I lost half of the presents. I would hide them then forget where they were! Two weeks ago I found a buch of POTC guys I had bought for Reilly in my closet! I never found out what I did with Napoleon Dynamite!

Hi Capri! I love Christmas as far as the feeling and the decorations, but I hate all the spending and the stress over finding the right gift for certain people that are so hard to shop for!!

Sounds like you are making good progress though! Don't forget to treat yourself to something pretty while your at it.;)

Hey Shawna! Sorry about the chaos of installing new floors. I hate stuff like that. I don't like any disruptions to my daily routine, even though I know in the end it will be worth it. I'm sure it will look great though!!

85 degrees is too warm!! Here we're at 78 today but by Thanksgiving we are supposed to be down to a high if 62. Still feels weird to not have any snow or temps in the 30's. I guess those 3 years in MI brainwashed me. LOL

Ohh...I hate that movie! It is too scarey for me! :rotfl2:
Hi Sarah, I love scary movies. :rolleyes1 popcorn:: Problem is, too many these days are not scary. They are too gory and that's just gross. I want to be scared, not grossed out. LOL

GOOD LUCK Cindy!! :wizard:

And I've done that with the gifts too. ;) :rotfl2:

I hope that everyone has a good day today. Even if it is a Monday.....

At least it's a short week!!

I've got tons of laundry to catch up on. I skipped two days because we had such a busy week-end and you'd think I'd skipped two WEEKS!

Talk to ya later!!!

I always seem to be behind with laundry. I live with three boys (DH, DS8 and DS4), and you know how boys can get alot of the time......DIRTY!:crazy2: :laundy:

Plus, I still have to: **vacuum/clean the house and get it ready for Thanksgiving.....**go to the grocery store and get the rest of our Thanksgiving menu.....**and finish our redecorating project in our boys' bedroom (We got the walls painted yesterday. Now we have to paint the crown molding, replace the carpet, add some decorative elements, then put the funiture back in. Since the boys can't sleep in their room right now, they had a campout in our living room last night.:thumbsup2 )

And then I get to cook a Thanksgiving feast on Thursday!

Whew!:goodvibes

We have victory!! :woohoo: Oh yeah, oh yeah! Cindy got their Wii.:cool1: It only took 12 phone calls, some serious pleading and some fast driving but it's done.  (That deserved 2 banana guys)

Ah, I guess that saying is true.... a woman's work is NEVER done. I bet the boys are excited about their "new" room though. :yay:

Don't forget to find some time in there to put your feet up and relax with a glass of wine, or other beverage of your choice. ;)

And the good news is, once the hectic holiday season is over, we'll have the trip to look forward too!! :thumbsup2

Geez, I had no idea those were still so hard to get....

But congrats to you!!!    And I'm thinking someone is going to be very happy come Christmas morning.

Hey everyone! I got two new Disney pins today! :) My parents went to DL yesterday with my brother and sister and sister's BF. He works for the studios so he got them in free (lucky them!) At least my mom got me some pins and a Christmas Mickey antenna topper. One is a Tinkerbell one and she has her hand on her hip and a smirk on her face and the other one is this one:

If you tilt in back and forth the pictures slide to show more princesses!

Anyone else do pin trading?
