Happy Birthday to me! Today is the one and only time I can honestly say I am 39 years old today. :cool1:

Been kinda depressed most of the day, but then dh took me to the vacuum store and bought me a Miele :lovestruc :worship:  The best vacuum on the planet! Ok, something y'all need to know about me: I'm a vacuum freak. I am obsessed with cleaning floors. For Christmas, my present was a Shark Steam Vac, and I thought I was the luckiest girl alive! My hardwoods sparkle and shine. And now I have the best vacuum. I don't think life could got much sweeter. Is that sad? :sad2:

Anyway, dh made a yummy steak dinner and served it to me with a margarita, so yep, life can be sweeter! :lmao:

Now I get to go take a soak in my tub and watch The Biggest Loser and go to bed early. That's my prescription for the best birthday ever! Yep, can ya tell I'm 39? :lmao: :rotfl2:

This week is what our family traditionally refers to as "Hell week". We have my birthday, my ds' birthday, my anniversary and my dd's birthday all in one week. It's insanity. Luckily, I already celebrated my dd's birthday in Feb. at DLR, so now we're just planning a little party for ds on Friday where he'll take a friend to Horton Hears a Who and have a sleepover. That should be easy.

Wow, I don't think I've ever posted this much before. It's definitely the margarita talking. :rotfl: I won't bore y'all anymore! Off to my soak in my tub!

Night ladies!

Callie

Hey Callie,

Happy Birthday to you! Wow, you're 39? I just had the ... let me count ... the 6th anniversary of my 39th birthday in January! Figure that one out!! My baby brother turned 40 last week, now he's officially older than me!!!:dance3: :dance3:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALLIE!!!

Happy Late Birthday Callie

My skin got all tingly and I realized why. You guys were talking about Handy Manny's hottness!!! :lmao:

What a stud!

Look at his hands on his hips! what a manly stance. And see he's blushing for me here. :faint:

Beth: I'll take pictures of the "duking it out" for you. I too am going to stay out of that fray! (though I would love to see the show since I've never seen it!) :rotfl:
Oooooh good! I can't wait to see those pics! ;)

I don't know if that guy poses for pics after the show or whatever, but if he does, they should meet up and pose together with him. Maybe they could pretend to be fighting and he could be in the middle holding them both back or something. :lmao:

(I'm kidding of course. ;) )

Good morning everyone!! It's Wednesday, or hump day, lol, half way through the week. :cool1: Have a good one!

Hey--did everyone see that Lorealle is back on disBoards? Apparently the powers that be relented . .. .

I just want to say that all you girls who drool over vacuum cleaners are completely LOONY!!!

;)

So, when did this obsession of vacuum cleaners start? And keep in mind that everything you say here is strictly confidential.

I was thinking the same thing, but didn't want to say it

What is so funny is that I had a friend many years ago and her son would literally freak out when she got out the vacuum cleaner, almost in a frenzy, shaking his hands and jumping up and down, it was a happy freak-out! I just thought "what a weird kid!" but now that he's older, probably around 16, maybe he likes to vacuum!!!

Okay clearly I missed something. What happened??

:lmao: I'm so glad someone said that!! I thought something was wrong with me because I couldn't imagine getting thrilled over a vacuum! :rotfl:

Of course I've only ever had the cheapo Target ones. Maybe I'm missing out on something.

I can say for certain that in my family, no one likes vacuums, and no one likes vacuuming (including me).

I've only ever seen one vacuum that I think I might like if I were to get one, and it's that Robo vacuum thingy that vacuums all by itself. If it actually works, then I WANT ONE!:thumbsup2

Okay, I have a Disneyland Fastpass question. I've seen on some other threads here people giving the advice that on a busy day to spend the morning "collecting Fastpasses."

How can you do that? Don't you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can go to another ride and get more Fastpasses? :confused3

I'm confused. And also can you still use them past the window of time that's printed on there?

We've been lucky so far and really haven't had to rely to much on FPs, but for next week, I think we'll need to since it's Spring Break time.

Thanks!!

I don't like to vacuum either. For that matter, I don't like to dust, mop, sweep, wash dishes or do laundry. :rotfl2:
Forget a nice vacuum, I'd really like a maid so I don't have to do any of those things anymore. Especially with four kids to pick up after.

Yes, you have to wait a certain time, but if you get them early enough in the day, the collect time will be less than 2 hours. During the wait time, you can go on other rides.

Yes, they are good from the start time printed on them until the park closes.

It's quite a process. Read this sticky by HydroGuy and hopefully you'll get it.

Here's another sticky.

Thanks Stacie. I read through the first sticky and OMG that's a lot of planning and running!!! I was tired just reading it. :faint:

I understand now what they mean when they say "collecting" FPs, but honestly, I doubt we'll do that. I guess that's the nice thing about having passes and being able to go so often. I don't feel the need to work so hard at having fun.

I think I'll find a nice bench and park my butt down with a frozen lemonade and watch everyone else scramble around. ;)

Thanks again for the info though! :)

If you do it right, you can actually avoid all the scrambling around. We also have APs but still do it when we know it will be busy or we only have a short amount of time to go to the parks. I also use Ridemax.

I knew I was gonna like you! Now you just gotta catch on to the vacuum craze and we'll be like sisters . . . ;) :rotfl:

Well, that's cool. I'm glad it really works for you guys then. We use the FPs, just never had it that planned out before. :)

I'm going to be PMing out the phone numbers pretty soon, and then my part in the trip planning will be done. :thumbsup2
