Okay, have a bit more time at the moment to tell you about the weekend. I don't know if I shared this before, if I did just ignore me, but I had decided to make a big deal out of the weekend for DD because both her brothers have friends coming for spring break from MN. She has been really sad that the boys have gotten a chance to see their friends but she hasn't gotten to see any of hers. While logically she might understand that they can't fly at age 5 or 6, it doesn't make it hurt less. I think she's had the hardest transition of all of the kids with the move. So, we made a whole weekend, and we did it in style with just Zoe and Mommy.

Zoe and I left San Diego around 12:30. She fell asleep right outside of Oceanside, so it was a quiet trip. We got up to Anaheim a bit after two. Although it was overcast and nasty in San Diego, it was beautiful in Anaheim. We went to the Character Warehouse (boy do they have some great deals!). It was our first trip there. Then we went to her choice for lunch, and she chose Taco Bell!
We checked in to HoJo's a bit after 3. I had gotten DD a Hannah Montana bag with a t-shirt and hair thingy and socks and book. After a bit of pantomime, the staff took it up to our room so that it was there when we got up there. She was excited, but at first thought someone had left it there.
We pretty immediately went down to the pool, we wanted to take advantage of the nice weather while we still had it (I heard it was supposed to get pretty nasty later on.) When we got down there, there were a few girls and more came and went while we were there, so Zoe had a great time. I pretty much stayed in the hot tub. We hung out in the room afterwards for about an hour and then went to DtD.
We wandered around the shops a bit, I got a hot chocolate at La Brea (boy, food is so much more expensive at DLR than at Sea World...and the hot choc. wasn't quite as good, though not bad or anything). We went to Build a Bear where DD made an adorable blue snow bear with a matching blue dress.
DD was then finally hungry. I discovered the hard way (no, the REALLY hard way, with a tired and hungry DD) that White Water Snacks isn't open at 7pm. I had planned to then get something at McDonalds across the street on the way back, but she was too tired and hungry, so we ended up eating hot dogs at Wetzels. Not a good choice, for either of us, but the pepperoni pretzel was pretty good.
We walked back to the hotel at a brisk pace and got back in just enough time to get in our jammies and robes and watch the fireworks. Great view.
Next day, we got up, had breakfast in our room and were lazy, then had McDonalds for lunch and headed back to DtD. Zoe had an appt. at Club Libby Lu to get herself done up for the Hannah Montana concert movie. She wanted one that they were out of, so I paid extra to buy the Hannah Montana hair piece so they could do it. She looked adorable.
I had heard we needed to get to Hannah Montana line VERY early, so we were there by 2 for the 3 showing. Good thing we were, too, as there was already a pretty good line when we got there. Zoe loved the show, sang most of the songs.
My friend (who's coming with to the Lady's trip) met us with her DD for Hannah Montana. We went to the Rainforest Cafe afterwards. Then we played at Lego for a few minutes and drove back down to San Diego.
We had a great weekend. It was nice to only have one child to focus on. I kinda wish we had brought Daddy with us, though. Hard to do with the other two.
Well, this became a more lengthy post than I had intended. Sorry about that for those who made it through!

Sounds like fun!

Am I getting it right that you didn't go into the parks at all? (mind boggles, LOL)

*********
Poor hubby, he came home sick. Had to get off a call with a customer b/c he was going to be sick, and luckily when he was in the bathroom, his boss was in there, too. He flat out told him to go home. Poor guy then had to ride the bus to get home...he carried garbage bags with him in case he was sick again. :(

Now he has a mega-headache, so I'm doing all the natural remedies in my arsenal to help him...even broke out my retired chiropractor's hands (Robert had lifelong, inherited-from-dad, migraines until I worked on him chiropractically for about a year, now he almost never gets what he deems a migraine, so we know that being out of alignment definitely can cause him headaches). That reminds me, gotta check out our insurance site, to make sure what hospitals are covered, just in case. Headache that bad, you don't want to go to a hospital unless it's really the worst ever, b/c you walk into a hospital feeling that way and you are going to get a spinal tap!

I was trying to convince Robert last night that we should combine ladies and b'day trips...I think he's happier about the idea of being uber-frugal so I can go alone in April and then family trip in May, than trying to combine things. Hmm, doesn't he WANT to be in Disneyland alone with Mr Rambunctious? Gosh, can't imagine why! :rotfl:

Nope, no park time. Don't have our annual passes quite yet. Planning to get them for my b-day later this month.

Sorry to hear about your DH, that sounds like NO fun!

Good morning ladies!! It's Monday. Yuck. I hope you all have a good day today.

MONDAYS.gif

Today is a not so good Monday :headache: . Six people in my department called in sick (we only have 10 in our department). So we have to pick up the slack.

I feel like going home right now :rolleyes1 .

Michelle ~ Good to hear you and Zoe had a great mother/daughter weekend  . My DD wants to see the Hannah Montana 3D, but I don't know if it's worth the money :confused3 . How did you like it?

Sounds like you all had a great trip, Michelle! Thanks for sharing.:flower3:

Molly, sorry about your DH! I hope he feels better soon!:wizard:
My DH, Brent, used to get REALLY bad headaches all the time. He even had a CT scan done after he blacked out from a doozy of a headache. The doc told him there was nothing wrong and that they were most likely caused from stress. So, he started working out and hasn't had a bad headache since.

Dang, ten people out of six! That is a lot! Hang in there....it will soon be over!
When I worked at the bank, tellers would call in sick or just not show up ALL the time. It sucked. And guess who had to work through lunch and stay late... :rolleyes1

She was tagged again!??!!! <<me stomping my feet in a tantrum>>

Sorry, Molly . . . nice tags. :flower3:

I thought it was worth it. They did some behind the scenes stuff, didn't show the entire concert, but the most popular songs. The 3d was pretty cool, not overdone. Certainly alot better than going to the concert itself. And, it wasn't that much more than a regular movie ticket. $15 at downtown disney, it was $12 locally. Though, at this point, good luck trying to get tickets. Or maybe it was just the weekend sold out solid. I looked on Thurs. for tickets for a friend for Sun. 3:00 show, and all the shows through 5 were already sold out. Plus all weekend, from what I heard.

Wow, that's crazy! Makes me glad that we don't "do" Hannah in our house.

Glad you and Zoe had fun. It would be killer for me to be that close to DL/DCA and not go in the parks. I guess since you all are there more often, it's no big deal. Did you happen to meet Lorealle at the HoJo? I'm wondering where our friend has gone?

Hello everyone!!

Katie, sorry to hear about all those calling in sick. That really does make it hard on those who have to pick up the slack.

Michelle, sounds like it was a very nice trip. It's always special to spend that one on one time if possible.

Molly, I'm sorry your DH is feeling so bad. I hope he gets better fast.
Oh, and I like your new tags too!! But where's the toe hair one??? LOL I loved it.

I got a new tag recently. Didn't take long after deleting the others I had. I think all total, I've had 4, so this makes 5. The only one I miss is my Target one. We really need to find a way to get one for Callie!!

omg I didn't even realize I had new tags (but I'm NOT sorry to see the toe hair tag go). :lmao:

DH slept all day long and was feeling a bit better, but still had a headache.

After a month of no sodas or anything containing high fructose corn syrup or corn syrup, his usual weight loss more than doubled. Today while out at Costco while he slept, I found that our Costco is selling the Mexican-bottled Coca Cola, made with cane juice instead of HFCS. I bought it as a treat, and shortly after drinking a bottle of it (glass bottle!), his headache disappeared entirely.

So, um, "real" Coke is now medicine?

Totally going off topic into coca cola land, he has a friend who is a total Coke fiend (ha ha), and he has old bottles and cans. He was able to verify that the Coke before the New Coke fiasco was made with SUGAR not HFCS. The HFCS made its debut after the New Coke then Classic Coke nonsense. Very tricky, that company....

But anyway! Good tags, good tags....

I must not be cool enough for a REAL tag.
Aww, you'll get one. Hey, on a different note, is that you and Maddie in your avatar??? That's adorable!

Well, I'm glad to hear his headache is gone. I tried that kind of Coke once. UGH. I hated it. LOL It tasted terrible to me. :confused3

Really???? Wow. If you drank Coke as a young teen (you're 2 years younger than me...I'll let you think about that and my 3 year old for a minute, LOL) that's what ya drank. :)

Coca Cola used to be my diet food. Real coke, not diet. I knew exactly how many calories were in a can, and the same with a Snickers bar. So when I had gained, you know, a huge amount like 5 pounds, I would have those for lunch instead of the mystery meat and who-knows-how-many-calories fries served at school lunch, and I'd drop the 5 pounds quickly. (oh how I long for those days when 5 lbs was the end of the world!!!)

But that was when it was sugar. Ever since they changed it to HFCS the loss thing hasn't worked at all.

Once I got Eamon to sleep I came out here for my REAL Coke drink. It even smells different. Deeeellicious. I've been sipping it for an hour now, just savoring it. Yum.

I'm trying to think of something trip-related so I stop disrupting everything.

When is the 60 days PS date? That's trip-related.

When are final absolute numbers needed for the tours?

What happens with the VIP tour if, say, 35 people sign up for it with a max of 10 per guide? Does the group of 5 just split the tour cost amongst themselves, or does it end up as tour cost times 4 divided by 35? Or wait I'm remembering there was an extra cost per guide...so maybe I have the $$ wrong, but the question of whether it all gets lumped together and divided by the number OR if those, say, 5 are on their own still stands. :)

Molly, I think you need to walk away from the Coke. :rotfl: Seriously, you are way too awake and I can barely comprehend those questions right now. :lmao:

Hopefully someone will have answered them by the time I check in tomorrow. And if not, I'll see if my brain is functioning better by then. LOL For now, I really need to try to get some rest.

Have a good night and I'll catch ya tomorrow! :)

I like color so I like tags. :thumbsup2

That is us! It was an accidental pic....but I love it! She was not cooperating at the photo studio and the photo lady was barking orders at her like "look over here" "SMILE BIG" and it kinda freaked Maddie out. She ran over to me and wanted a hug and kiss and the photo lady took a shot. I was surprised to see it in the proofs...but so glad she took it!:cloud9:

The El Capitan just sent me an email saying they extended the dates. I was thinking of taking DD and her friends as a treat.

I really just want to go to the Disney Soda Fountain next door and order the Hannah Montana Microphone Cone
