GoofieRuthie, what was it that made you proud - that she finally used one or that it wouldn't fit before? Why would the fit of a tampon be something to be proud of????

OP, the brand we use is Playtex SlimFit. They are smaller than a Regular Playtex tampon, and have a plastic applicator with a blunt tip. DD used them the second day of her first period and has never used pads. She moved up to the Regular and Super sizes as she matured, but the SlimFits were the first and they worked nicely.

I guess it was more of a "pheww" feeling. I had no worries about her, but it was still kind of a reassuring feeling. Crazy I know.

ETA~The fit that is. I probably shouldn't have said QUITE. I never said a word to her. And I know the "fit" doesn't indicate anything really. Hard to explain I guess.

I'm voting for Playtex Pearl.

They are THE smoothest entry tampons on the market. And they come in different absorbancies. You can even get a box that has three different kinds in it for different "flow" days.

When I got my period, I thought it was just going to be one little dot of blood, like a period ( . )

I was horrified that there was all that blood. Was kinda ticked (still am, actually) that I'd be bleeding like that every month. So, I'm with her.
