Thank you Heather for the good thoughts! I feel SO much better about everything and I am really hoping for the best! Have a WONDERFUL time this weekend. I have ALWAYS wanted to do one of those (MA) and SOMEDAY I am going to!! LOL. Take lots of pics and have fun as I KNOW you will.

Got a full list today. I need to go to the British Grocer and get some goodies to send to Nikki. I have to try to get in to see the doctor today. Had my blood pressure taken last night and it was high. And that is so not like me. Usually its way low. So I need to get that taken care of. Plus I have other errands to run, and still need to go to work today. UGH! I need more hours in my day!!!

I think I'm going to Disneyland this Thursday because they're predicting rain unless it's really pouring. I've never been when it's rained.

I've been many times when it started raining. I love it in the rain as long as it's a light rain. Just bring a rain poncho. There shouldn't be any crowds at all.

Morning and happy Tuesday everyone!

Well yesterday was such a great day at the end. First the cards and then my AWESOME stocking! Hopefully today will be even better. I know it will in a way cuz I get my girls back home tonight!!!

I have their parent teacher conferences today so I am anxious to see how they are doing in school and then tonight the 4 of us are going out to eat and discuss how this new plan is going to work.

Today is my last day of studying before finals. I can't wait for this quarter to be over.

I'm excited about my quick jaunt to DLR this weekend for MA. We have a great weekend planned. I just hope my stamina and stomach hold up to everything.
I plan on snacking my way through MA.

Not much new, just trying to prepared myself for my first IEP meeting. My stress level will decrease dramatically once it's formed.

Have fun this weekend Heather! Also, hang in there with the IEP meeting....and all those to come in the future. The meetings aren't so bad, but there have been times where I didn't really feel like I was "part" of the team, and at one time, any concerns and or suggestions I had were sort of.....dismissed. Ryan's IEP meetings now are great, and since I've known his resource room teacher for five years now, I do feel like she and the rest of the team value my opinions and they will even try new suggestions I have for them, but it took several years to get to that point. Just stay steady with what you want for your child, yet patient for it to happen.

I did not include her for the Friday & Monday am activities/meals because she is going to be working full time (somewhere) at her new job, right? That's my story and I'm sticking to it. If she is still unemployed, it may be a different story!

Beth, do we want to add to the schedule a night where we all meet for fireworks and coffee/hot cocoa? Or maybe meet for a parade viewing? The river will be drained, so no F! show. Or do we just want to play it by ear and decide that weekend? What do you think?

Hey Beth do we know anything more on our T-shirts? I know we decided on the pirate and castle ones but are we going to get a decal and we have to make them ourselves or is there going to be someplace we can order them or is there some brave sole that might make them for us if we pay them lots of money!!

Thanks for the advice Capri. I'm currently taking a class that only 20 people get to do a year per state teaching me how to be an advocate for disability law. We just spent a whole weekend going over IDEA 2004 and other laws pertaining to education, inclusion and IEP's. By law I am part of the team, and by law they have to listen to me. We'll see what they try to pull though. So far, they all seem really receptive to my thoughts and ideas. The psychologist even told me today to make sure I have my goals in mind so that they know what I'm thinking next week. I live in the 'best' school district in town though, and they even told me last week that they have 'plenty of money'. I've never heard of a school system saying that! I'm glad things are going well for you now though. I don't have patience like you do. With Nathan being so little, we're on a time crunch to get all the help possible while his brain is still forming. Pray for us and that things go well!

Okay ladies, since some questions were being asked about the t-shirt status I thought I'd post what I know as of now.


We are set with two tees already as you know; the tie dye (which can be any tie dye style/design that you prefer) and we are all to be making a black pirate princess shirt using the design Callie's husband worked on for us which can be found on the front page. (Just like we did the white Tink tee last year)


So that leaves us with the third tee which was going to be the purple castle tee which Melody's son so kindly designed for us and we all love. She was going to work on making and blinging out everyone's tee for them. A huge undertaking, but something we all know if anyone could pull it off Melody could!

However, things have changed since then. With the sadness of losing Dawn , certain plans were put on hold and other plans were altered. Melody is now going to be taking over Dawn's role of prizes for the scavenger hunt. Along with all the other things she already has going on in her life.

We talked briefly about the possibility of putting the castle tee on the back burner for now, and just going with the tie dye tee and the pirate princess tee.

THEN for the next trip, in 2011, we would take the two t-shirt designs that received the highest votes in the poll we did, which was the purple castle tee and the black sort of funky, modern Disney design, and use those two as our tees for the next trip.

That way they would still be utilized, and it would make the t-shirt planning so much easier for 2011. And as I told her, it would make her life much easier and less stressed for this trip.


Now none of this has been finalized. This was merely what was discussed between her and I in a PM the last time t-shirts were mentioned. Perhaps things have changed since then that I am unaware of. Maybe a different plan is forming in her mind. I don't know.

I will voice my opinion and say that while I LOVE Melody's son's designs, and appreciate his hard work, I am fine with saving them for the next trip, especially if it makes her life less stressful. (Like how I'm talking about you while you aren't here, Mel??? )
I think the two shirts we have planned now are fun and should be plenty.
So, that's my opinion. Having said that, as always, I will still go with whatever Melody and the group decides.

I realize that's not the concrete answer some of you were looking for, but it's the latest that I am aware of, and hope it helps some.
