Evening all.
First off Stacielee I LOVED your Christmas card. Not that everyone else's wasn't fabulous but how clever!! SO cute!! Thank you! And LOVE those shirts! Those are awesome!!!
And again thank you SO much to everyone who has sent so far. Beth, Deb, Tina (Tina yours cracked me up! Love it!
) This REALLY cheered me up on what started out to be a crappy day.
I am not going to go into a whole lot cuz I don't want to bring anything down and I know you guys are probably sick of hearing my crap already but just a small update. I was REALLY upset all day at the prospects of losing my girls and Shane was NOT budging and in fact has ALREADY filed papers!! So I had a long time to ponder before I was supposed to go to MY meeting and so I called him and made him an offer. We have a couple different friends who live together but are not "together" and do it strictly for financial reasons as well as for the best interest of the kids.
We are discussing him moving into one of the other rooms and we will become more like roommates thus hopefully taking a lot of pressure off the situation. We will both be under the same roof for the girls and still participate in their activities together but have an understanding that we are free to lead our own lives seperate from the girls. Obviously we are going to have rules and there won't be any people of the opposite sex allowed in the house which frankly I could care less about anyway cuz at this point in my life I am SOOOO done with men LOL. Cheryl can I join your club???
But as I said we have a few friends that have done this and it has worked for them. I told him that once we are no longer "together" then Lynn is no longer my concern and as long as he does stuff with her away from me then I think it will work. She and I just can't be in the same room together anymore. I know it sounds bad but we are not mean or fight it is just VERY uncomfortable. So he and the girls will go out to the movies or to dinner with her and I will just stay out of it. It will be "their" time. She is still going to live with my mom for now but she DOES have an ultimatum that she has to make some decisions about her life and soon. They will not let her just flounder there forever. Anyway I told him even if we need to go to counseling just to find a way to communicate and be "friends" again and not constantly argue I will do whatever it takes for the GIRLS sake! I am not guaranteeing it will work but we talked for a LONG time about it and everyone is happy with the idea and on board. So we will at least give it a whirl and worst case scenario we just go back to the old plans.
Anyway I will try not to bore you guys with those gorey details anymore and hopefully I will still be able to make it on the trip!!! If I had to get a job I was pretty sure I would have to decline.
Which by the way Laurie I am thinking good thoughts and prayers for you all the time that somehow you can come and that something changes for your dh's job! ((hugs))

And Cheryl my dear, this is why I got Lasik! I got SO tired of fighting with my stupid lenses and dealing with glasses. Good luck and I hope you are able to get your stuff without too much of a hassle.
