At this point, my October trip is on the Endangered Species list with DH because of the WDW trip at the end of November. Plus we are going to Vegas the following weekend. I have the 19th booked at the retro rate at HoJo though.
Well, I hope you can still make it. But, if not maybe we can meet up when you are out here!

Awesome. I might not make it on the 19th, but I'll try to be there that weekend.
But...but...but... you just have to be there on the 19th! :( That's when we are all hanging out and we're even gonna go eat in Carsland and everything! It won't be the same without our female impersonator, Wendall.

Divas without Tiaras is like a day without sunshine!! Or a visit to DL without a Churro!!:lmao:
Hell yeah!

Well, except... I prefer the rain, and well, I really don't like churros. But other then that, I'm totally with ya! :p

Wow! Lots of talk on tees. :faint:
You're telling me. My brain is officially fried. I can't think straight anymore. :crazy2:

I would also like to make one suggestions - it is bucking tradition so be gentle ladies!

Friday on the schedule we have the traditional group photo in front of the castle. But since the hunt will be in DCA, what about a new place for the photo - maybe in front of the new Cathay circle fountain??

We can always do both a castle photo and PFF photo on Sat.

No castle photo?

Just kidding. I don't really care. ;) We've done the group photo other places before, such as in front of the floral Mickey. As long as there is plenty of room, I'm fine with anyplace. I haven't been to DCA since the walls all came down. Is there a wide enough space in front of the fountain? Won't we block the entire fountain? What will the background look like? And, is there an area nearby that would be cute for the mother/daughter photo? Just some things we need to keep in mind. :thumbsup2

I'm also going to throw out some suggestions. Just suggestions now, you know. :scratchin

The first day in the past has always been lime green. That was our official Dis Diva color to meet and greet everyone. Since Wednesday is our new first official day, I vote that it should still be our lime green day.

Actually only a small number of Divas are coming in on Wednesday.

We're keeping the M&G party on Thursday since that is the day most of the ladies are coming in and will still be the main day to meet and greet everyone. Because of this, I think it's better to wear lime green on Thursday. :thumbsup2

Congrats to Jen and Capri for figuring out our theme for this year!!!!
Woo Hoo!!! :cool1::cool1::cool1:

So, now that you all know the theme for this year's hunt, I would now like to share with you my thoughts on the new tee for Friday.

In my mind, I am thinking of a shirt in sky blue to start with.
I would like to incorporate a tee with the Carsland theme of Route 66.
I would like to have a car cruisin on the street with a Diva wearing mouse ears sitting in it.
For the bling, it would be cool to use road and neon signs to start with.
Tee pees, the Cadillac Ridge, and so on on the design

I also want to try and make it look retro. LOL.... you know me and retro. But it is always in, and it goes perfectly with the theme for this year.

I hope this all sounds good to you. :goodvibes

Just a heads up. It might take a while to get this done. My son is extremely busy right now. As soon as we can get some what of a rough draft done, it will be shared. :thumbsup2

PS- I also thought it would be nice to have a tee done for DCA, since we haven't had one themed to it yet.

Only a small number? Well phooey! I guess I will be one of the few.

Really Capri, I am just making suggestions. I had to get on the band wagon you know. :rotfl2:

Sounds awesome - and hopefully the Diva will be in convertible!!

Really looking forward to a tee with DCA theme!!

Thanks! At first we were going to try and incorporate most of DCA, but that takes alot of drawing and it gets quite busy. Sometimes it's not so much the drawing, but putting it into digital form for printing. So I took that into consideration also.

I'm all about carpooling in the band wagon. :rotfl:

Yeah, not too many coming in until Thursday. Although I'm all for an extra day of fun, so I *may* be coming in on Wednesday if I can, ummmmm, talk Justin into it. ;)

Mel, I love the idea of a retro-ish, Route 66, classic car themed shirt with blinged out neon signs! Sounds awesome!! And very unlike anything we've done thus far.

Question: Will it be hard to make a "Diva" actually in the car? I know your son is a stickler for detail, and he always does great work. I just wasn't sure how the person would look? Is it going to be cartoon-ish? Or like a real person?

OKay, shall we be done with the t-shirts now??? PLEASE?

Wednesday: Prior trip group shirt
Thursday: Lime Green
Friday: New group tee
Saturday: Favorite Disney shirt
Sunday: Red shirt

Can this just be it? Once and for all? I know it's not perfect, and I'm sorry that we can't please each and every one of the 58 or so ladies attending, but I think it's a fair compromise. And after all, when you sign up to travel on a group trip, there simply has to be some give and take. :flower3:

Oh please, girl. We all know you've got mad skills when it comes to "convincing" your husband. :happytv: :rolleyes1

I love the sound of this t-shirt! I can just hear all the "car" music of my youth! Ooops just gave away my age .... but then I am Grumpy Grandma! :rotfl2:

My vote is DONE DEAL! :thumbsup2

I asked Justin if I have mad skills convincing him of stuff, and he said YES, although he doesn't know what we're talking about. LOL! :lmao:

Seriously though, how did the red for the color tee come into play. I thought it was just thrown in as an example someone used, not as the actual color.

I know it seems like we've been talking about this for awhile. But it's only been a couple of days and quite a few Divas are busy finishing up with the school year, or are on vacation. How about if we decide for sure after Fourth of July or by the beginning of Aug. That will still give us 7 (seven) months to get the appropriate color shirts.

I'll be there Wednesday night.:)

The new shirt sounds very cool Mel. :thumbsup2

I like the shirt line up idea. But I am good with whatever is decided!

I am going to try and come in on the Wednesday too. Since I'm coming from so far away, one more day makes it that much more worth it. More park time! :)

Yes, we really do. And don't think for a second anyone is getting out of wearing a tiara for the Princess photo. If you say you conveniently forgot it, people always bring extras. ;)
You don't have to wear it all day. Just the 3 minutes it takes to snap the photo. And around Halloween sometimes you can even find them at the Target dollar spot, or the dollar stores. The one I wore last year was plastic. I left my nicer one from Claires at home.

Oh I have NO problem wearing a tiara, I just wanted to put it on my packing list (along with the wine lol) so I don't forget it. :)

Congrats to Jen and Capri for figuring out our theme for this year!!!!

It just seemed like a likable color. From the people who bothered to share their opinions most liked it. I do realize you objected, so if you some other suggestions, feel free to share. :goodvibes

Fine with me. Of course, a lot of ladies are on Facebook and don't read the DIS anymore so perhaps that's why we are missing some opinions.
I have no problem tabling the discussion. In fact, I think I'm going to remove myself from the conversation. I'm only trying to help but appear to be making it worse. Whatever is decided is fine by me! :thumbsup2
