Ok, I am over being annoyed at my husband. I really do adore him and he does do laundry!

Beth, I had no idea that the weekend we were going to Vegas was actually Mother's day weekend! I guess you will probably be too busy getting spoiled for being such a good mother on Sunday Saturday, I will be doing the tournament and don't know when that time will be, but it is only an hour or two during the day. I really don't have any commitment to anything else. We are staying at The Paris. I hope the weather will be nice! It has been so cold here, and at our son's baseball game I was wearing my uggs, a hooded down coat and down mittens and was still wishing I had my furry ear flap hat. It was ridiculously cold! I'm still cold...brrr!

Hmm.... wondering if I should be concerned about dining reservations on Mothers's day. Here, all the restaurants are full on Mothers' day.

Anyone want to help me make a decision on something? Or just tell me I'm insane for even considering this:

I'm registered for a 1/2 Marathon on Sunday back home (well, I guess it's not really home anymore) in the Bay Area. I've got a hotel room booked in SF and everything. I was waiting to see my work schedule before making any definitive decision and if I decide to go ahead and do this I'll be working Saturday morning from 4 to 8 am and then hitting the road for home and continuing to SF. Then getting up early Sunday for the 1/2 and driving back home on Sunday. Then I work again Monday morning from 4 to 8 am.

Insane, right? I'm really torn on what to do. It wouldn't be the worst 48 pull I've tried lately as far as sleep is concerned but I wasn't also trying to fit 6 hour car drives and a 13.1 mile race into the mix as well.

Thoughts?

ETA: Plus the idea of seeing my family for a short period of time is a big pull. I'm going t try and see if I can get Monday off and trade with someone, but I'm not holding my breath.

Not quite the same thing since there is no marathon involved but my son gets up early in the morning in downtown LA, drives to SF, watches a 49er game, and then drives home right after the game. Not something I'd want to do or could do but when you are young anything is possible!

Just himself? Now that there I don't think I could do. While I love the drive and can do it alone I'm not sure I could go both ways in one day.

One problem is now out of the way. I talked to my boss this morning about not thinking to take an extra day off because of the move and she said it's no problem. She'll get someone to step in for me.

What a day yesterday was....worked a little late and then went home and got the kids, went to Best Buy (for the 5th time since the beginning of March) because Cassidy's iTouch stopped working again....for those that don't know her iTouch was acting up so we took it to BB to have it repaired (we have the black tie protection) at the beginning of March, since then we've had 5 different iTouch replacements.......this time they FINALLY replaced it with a brand new one!!!! I was sooooo happy! And so is she. that took about an hour tho. Then we went to a few stores because I'm trying to find jeans that fit well and aren't falling apart. See, I have jeans I wear to my 8-4 job but I only have a couple pair I like to wear when I teach dances (I like to look good while I'm teaching because everyone is watching me lol, yes I am slightly vain lol) well those couple pair are getting really really really worn out so I need to find some new ones. So I went to look for jeans, unfortunately nothing I like fits me right so I get annoyed and give up. lol But I did get myself some free pearl earrings (3 pair) for my birthday from Helzberg Diamonds (birthday promo!!) and I had a $10 secret rewards card so I got some new undies for $20 (4 pair) and there were a couple stores with shirts on clearance so I got both the girls new shirts for about $15 (2 shirts each for $15 each). Then we went to Chic Fil A for a fundraiser dinner, went home and I had about 15 minutes to get ready to go! LOL Lesson was fun, I love it when the regulars don't know the dance I'm teaching.

Tonight I have to pay some bills and figure out what to make for dinner......hmmmmm maybe I'll pull some steak out of the freezer.....

I just agreed to do something crazy with a close friend! She leaves in LA and I am flying down to see her 6/15 - 6/17. She has been having some tough family times and needs a friend. She also really wants to take her twin boys - 5 1/2 years old to see the new Carsland (they all have AP's). So guess where I will be on Sat 6/16!! I told her it was going to be scary crowded and the only way I would agree to it is if we get there at opening! I am really hoping that they will start the special AP only early entry but that means 7 am. And my friend is so not a morning person!!

Hello, hello, ladies!! Happy Hump Day!

This Saturday we are leaving! Heading to San Diego (well, Ocean Beach to be exact), and then to Disneyland. I haven't even started packing yet.
I probably won't until Friday. I don't want to jinx anything. I'm trying to not even think about it at all. lol

I don't know what we are doing. Probably not much, since we are taking this trip, but I'm sure the kids will want me around on Sunday.
Saturday might work. I don't know. I feel like I'd be intruding on your alone time with your honey after he surprised you with this trip and all....
He might have something special planned you don't know about.

As for dining on Mother's Day, I wouldn't worry about it. You should be fine! There are so many places to choose from.

I think we are having pizza tonight! Free pizza. I was finally able to get those free Domino's artisan pizzas. I got one, so did Ruben and Noelle, so we have 3 free ones. Yay for not cooking AND not paying.

I got all my veggies and flowers planted yesterday after work!!! YAY! Go me! LOL I planted 3 planter boxes, tomatoes, green peppers and a jalapeno in pots and planted multicolored carrots, regular carrots, sugar snap peas (might be too late for these), Japanese cucumber, a hybrid bush burpee cucumber, lemon cucumber and 4 Armenian cucumbers.....it was fun! It took me a while but I got it done. I also did 4 loads of laundry and have 2 more waiting for me at home ready to fold and 2-3 more to wash and dry.......tonight we have a fundraiser for Cass so we will be dining out, it will be fun and the food is amazing at this restaurant, one of the best places around here. I took Michelle when she Ethan and Zoey came to visit. YAY for pesto breadsticks. LOL

So, I need some opinions, I'm looking at these dates to take Cassidy to DL for her 16th birthday!! July 5-8, July 6-10 or July 8-12.........her birthday is the 8th. What do you guys think?

I would go with July 6-10, cause that way she is there on her birthday and not traveling that day.

We talked about it yesterday, she would prefer to go the 5-9 or 6-10th....so I'm going to see what I can do about work and what I can book for our timeshare.

I worked out last night with the girls, we played Just Dance 3 for an hour after we got home from dinner. LOL It was so much fun and I worked up a huge sweat!! I have 22 days before my birthday....I need to get busy! LOL

Thanks!! I've spoken to my boss and he's OK with whatever I take off. Which is good because our company just lost a pretty major client for our location and we are only going to have 3-4 employees after the end of this month.......yes, I am one of them, and yes, I am also mentally prepared for them to simply close this branch completely, it would suck but I would move on.

I hear you. ALL of our birthdays are around holidays, mine is May 25th, Memorial Day weekend, Cassidy's is July 8th, 4th of July, Jade's is December 15, Micah's is January 7th and Cami's is February 16th......LOL

Kerri I SO know what you mean!! Katy was due on xmas day but born on NYE. It is SO frustrating because I usually have to do her birthday a whole week AFTER her birthday to get anyone to come LOL. She HATES having her birthday a week after xmas too because there is nothing to look forward to later in the year and she always feels like she gets "gipped" lol because my parents think they don't have to give her very much cuz she "just got stuff for xmas" lol.

But I told her eventhough it sucks right NOW when she is older she will love it. In fact for her 13th birthday this year we are taking her to DL to brave the NYE crowds. And I told her when she turns 16 if we can afford it we will go to NYC and do times square.

My exes is on May 29th so also close to memorial day and mine is June 3 so it always sucked too having our birthday so close together but now that we are divorced I don't have to worry about that anymore LOL.
