I have spent the majority of my weekend sleeping, eating, and planning my trip. I did listen to my lecture for comm law this week since I have a quiz tomorrow.
Oh, come on. We'll get a couple glasses of wine in you and you'll be good to go!Not too sure about this flash mob idea....LOL!
I do know that Cynthia would be another contender, along with Rochelle. That girl can dance!
That sounds nice. I imagine in some places it's hard to find gluten free and vegan items that are still tasty.Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. We have a new gluten free bakery in town. My hubbie is Celiac, so this is a god send for him. We went today and all their stuff is vegan and gluten free. It was actually quite good for not having any dairy or flour in it.I know, I should have taken my camera and posted some food shots. Next time...
Aww, how fun. I love Mulan and Tangled, but I've never seen Lady and the Tramp or Dumbo. I should watch them.I have been having a lazy Sunday. My hubby, son (9 months) and I have been laying around watching Disney movies all day. We've watched Mulan, Lady and the Tramp (in which my son thought the Tramp was the funniest thing in the world), Dumbo and now Tangled. It's' been a good day.![]()
That sounds like it's going to be a great weekend. I did see some of the merchandise and it is cute!! Hopefully the rain keeps away the crowds. It's actually my favorite weather to have at DL for that very reason. Thanks, but the trip is next weekend - I never updated my countdown when we had the date changeNext weekend is Deaf Entertainers weekend - Marlee Matlin, Matt "The Hammer" Hamill (Deaf MMA fighter), the cast from Switched at Birth, and many other Deaf performers will all be there. We are so excited! They just released the designs for the special ASL/Disney merchandise they will be selling next weekend. They are so cute! You can see them on the Disney blog. Rain is predicted for next weekend and I am hoping the storm stays on course to drive away the crowds.
DId anyone do anything fun this weekend?![]()
My son, Adam, is bugging me to sign him up for his on road lessons. I keep putting it off.My weekend was productive. My son had his last on road driving lesson in preparation for the big driving test on Wednesday!! I will have a teenage boy driving soon!![]()

I don't have anything planned either, I love it!
I'm planning my WDW trip so I stayed up super late to book my ADRs. Sadly I couldn't get Ohana
I still have one TS credit so I'm trying to find somewhere to use it.
Later on I'll be reading the rest of the Hunger Games![]()
Aww, bummer about Ohana. What other ADRs did you make? Did you get Prime Time?
I am trying to read MockingJay. The other books I read in no time. This one, it's not catching my attention at all.
How have I missed it? I haven't, but retaining info is another story. Remember, blonde moments and four kids who leave me dazed and confused most of the time. It's a miracle I remember to put on pants before I leave the house.![]()
Can we do the flash mob freeze someplace where it will totally mess everyone up...like halfway down the exit tunnel at Indy? There's enough room for all of us, we're sorta out of the way of prying CM eyes, yet it would really freak people out that walk down that way to see 60 women frozen in place.
I can zumba, does that count as dancing?![]()
I'm freaking out a little bit, but it also feels a little disjointed. As of right now I have all of this upcoming week off (minus tomorrow) and then my last two days are next Sunday and Tuesday. I am so not prepared to leave just yet. There are still so many people to say goodbye to. Heck, there are quite a few people I haven't even told in person yet because I just haven't seen them! I'm kind of running out of time and I'm getting a little emotional at work these days.
All of my post-HS life has been at this store. I'll feel very weird without it!
I know what you mean. For the kids' birthdays I always cook whatever special dinner they want with a special cake. One year Hunter (then 7yo) wanted fish for dinner. The catch...fish with the head still on. That was the worst!!! Never again.

Agree. While, I like the additional daylight (notice I didn't say sunlight because we don't have any of that up here) lack of sleep leaves me more
than I usually am

Thank you ladies! So wonderful to be part of a group that gives so much of themselves to their friends, families and others in need.

Spent most of today reviewing scholarship applications. I am on the school district foundation board and we award some scholarships to our graduating seniors. Wow - it was hard to choose! Each one was a worthy applicant! But I am very happy with my choice - just wish we could help them all!

I am dreading the day when Forrest asks to get his permit. I'm fine teaching him his grammar, biology, heck even his algebra but not drivingDad is going to have to take that one.
I guess one good thing with having an extra driver in the house would be to get that forgotten gallon of milk

OOOOOhhhh that sounds soo nice. Hope you do well on your quiz.
Zumba counts as dancing!I would die to do it in the Indy exit.....OMG that would be hilarious!!!!!!
We could do a combo flash/freeze mob....some of us freeze, some of do a dance together.![]()
Oh ew....there is no way.......DBF likes to fish, I've always told him he has to clean and cook whatever he expects to eat. LOL I told his Grandma I wouldn't take some fish they had caught because I won't cook it and neither would Micah, she said "but he likes fish" and I said "I don't cook it" and she just kept saying "he likes it, you won't cook it for him?" lol I think I really upset her.....LOL I will eat fish (certain fish) but I don't cook it......
So.....Cassidy turns 16 in July, I'm considering a Mother/Daughter trip to DL just her and I to celebrate her 16th birthday. I'm thinking of seeing if we can stay on-site from the 6th-9th.....her birthday falls right in there.....what do you gals think?
I'll be freeze if you gals be flash!!!
So, you feel my pain? I think that's why I can't even eat fish let alone cook it
I would love to take Erin to DL on her sweet sixteen. Just 8 more years to go. I say go for it and def. stay on site. What a special occasion.
\Hey Cristabel! Congratulations on your free dining trip. I would keep trying for Ohana's if you really want it. It appears they don't always load those reservations into the system at the 180 day mark. We wanted that one and had to just keep checking and eventually they showed up. Same with Hoop De Doo Review and Fantasmic Dining. Something to do with the venues I think.
My family will be there until Aug 27th, so we'll just miss you and free dining. But we are staying DVC this trip so are adding the dining plan for part of our stay. I must say it feels really excessive!
OOOOOhhhh that sounds soo nice. Hope you do well on your quiz.
Oooh, I'll have to check that out. Once we are done with Mockingjay, if I can ever get into it, we'll be looking for something else to start on.I'm almost done with Uglies right now and I really like it. It's part of a series as well.
Yes! Do it. If Cassidy is into Disney, then that's a perfect idea. Noelle turns 16 in November this year, and I was toying with going on a mother/daughter trip somewhere. The problem is, I'm not so sure she's into Disney enough to justify the expense.So.....Cassidy turns 16 in July, I'm considering a Mother/Daughter trip to DL just her and I to celebrate her 16th birthday. Hi, Tracey! Good to see you here! How are your WDW trip plans coming? Tell me everything! I need to live vicariously through you. lolMy family will be there until Aug 27th, so we'll just miss you and free dining. Well...that is all I can remember that I wanted to say other than a big hello to everyone. It is pouring down rain here and blowing like crazy. I have been freezing and am 100% jealous of my dear husband who is headed to Vegas for a march madness weekend with the boys. Lucky him!
Yes! Matching shirts is a must, I think. That way it's more uniform.Ok ladies, so I guess we should do a flash mob next year! Would it be best to do it on a day we all have matching t-shirts?
It is! In college, there was a deaf girl in my class, and she had a sign language interpreter with her. I often found myself not paying attention to the teacher because I was so focused on the signing! It's really neat.Your upcoming weekend sounds soo great. So do you teach the deaf? I think I'd like to learn. I love to watch some of our church goers *sing* with their hands. It's literally poetry in motion!!
Grr. How frustrating. Thanks! Class was actually canceled and I didn't know until I got to campus.![]()
I do not like daylight savings time. Have a good Sunday. That is all.![]()

I just read Uglies and am halfway through Pretties. The setting is very similar to Hunger Games - post government take-over of the world, people placed into walled cities. The premise behind this series is that people like us "Rusties", destroyed the world because of predjudices based on appearances. The author creates a world where everyone is ugly (normal to us) and undergoes plastic surgery at age 16 to become pretty. Since everyone is equally good-looking, there should be peace...until the main character turns 16. It is not as great as HG, but is still a pretty decent and quick read.Oooh, I'll have to check that out. Once we are done with Mockingjay, if I can ever get into it, we'll be looking for something else to start on.

I actually thought of you guys! I would've been tempted to hit the snooze button a couple times.Try waking up an hour early so you can do MouseAdventure!! It was very difficult, especially after meeting up with some of the other ladies the night before for dinner and having to leave before we wanted to because we needed to get our rest!!
DLRP? How cool!Cassidy is totally into Disney, I think she would LOVE it!!In fact she's so into Disney that she's planning her trip to DLRP.....LOL I think she would also love that it was just the 2 of us.

Shark week must be about to premere because I am craving chocolate ice cream something terrible!

The only place my daughter has expressed any interest in that is outside of the US is Australia. I don't know why. It seems hot and full of snakes and other creepies!!

Just a quick hi and bye from me. I hope everyone is having a fabulous day
.
Oh and Jen, I mailed out the tickets yesterday.
Dropping in real quick (and with my old SN -- I've been missing my higher post count, is that sad?) to say hi
I probably wont be on much over the next few weeks as everything gets settled so I apologize for not catching up on posts I have missed but I wanted to share the good news (although I did just post it on Facebook).
I just got off the phone with my HR who has been handling my transfer request and she heard back from the store I contacted after the first didn't work out and they've approved my transfer! I just have to go fill out the actual store application which I've already been told will be accepted and tada! New store for me. I don't have an official start date yet while they find the best time to get me in but at least I'm not in complete limbo anymore.
Now it's back to cleaning and packing. I leave early tomorrow morning for Anaheim for a quick trip to get my paperwork with Disney done (Onboarding, they call it) and I'm meeting up with a couple of prospective roommates as well. Keeping my fingers crossed that something will work out and I'll have a place to call home. And since Spring Break season has started I think I may just have to head to Disneyland and squeeze in a showing of Fantasmic![]()
