Yes, bling is a good thing :thumbsup2 Did your hubby paint on the shoes?

He uses fabric markers. He started out with regular Sharpies, fine for shoes but if they get wet they do bleed and fade over time. Crayola fabric markers are the best brand he's used so far. Canvas works really well, sucks up the marker and just POPS with the color. T shirts, not so much. In fact, he burns through markers faster on shirts.

He bought flesh toned fabric markers at an art store. Do you know how hard it is to find flesh colored fabric markers?? and pricey too in comparison to Crayola. Turns out, doesn't look that great anyway. So he sticks to cartoon/anime characters usually leaving them "blank" and coloring the background to frame it up nicely. All of it amazes me, I have no drawing ability beyond stick figures and some swirlies

That sounds really cool :thumbsup2 No worries, I'm in the same club - no drawing abilities whatsoever. Even my stick figures are redonkulous. The only craftiness I have is glitterfying - which I rock at, if I do say so myself :rolleyes1

ummmm Beth, how have you missed all my FB status posts about my teaching job on Monday nights? You know......I teach dance on Mondays......LOL Line dancing, but really, what else is a flash mob??

Well, I'm going to have to go in to work for a few hours tomorrow. Something got lost in translation and I was only give 12 hours this week to prep for my shift on Sunday when our outlook said it was a 24 hour prep. Guess what? I didn't finish! Now, I'm good at what I do right now so I managed to finish about 90% of it, but I still have to go back tomorrow. Fun times! I still haven't even begun packing up my things. Or done my taxes. Or any of the other million and one things I have to get done before I finally get to "move".

But hi :wave2:

That was cool. This is my favorite flash mob video. It made me cry! It's really good! :)

http://youtu.be/Su1YLAjty-U

You forgot to tell me to keep my box of klenex by me!!! That was beautiful!:lovestruc

I've always thought it would be a blast! I'd love to even just watch one in person.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. :rolleyes1

Aw, I remember watching that one. There are so many good ones out there. You could get hooked searching for them and spend (waste?) a lot of hours watching them on youtube. Not that I've done that or anything... :rolleyes1

Watch? shoot let's all BE in one!!! I haven't danced in years but...:rolleyes1

Yes, there shouldv'e been a warning, "watching these may be habit forming"

Hmmmm. Diva flash mob next year maybe?

:yay:

 :lmao:
We could take a cue from this group who did a "No Pants Subway" ride and do a "No Pants Pirates of the Caribbean" ride. LOL

Oh, that is just horrifying to think about in my case. :scared1:

Oh, the weather is back to being gorgeous! The next couple days are sunny with temps in the low to mid 70's. I should get out this weekend and take advantage of it, before the triple digit summer temps set in.

 I want nice weather here.... I'm sick of rain. But lucky you. :) Send some nice weather our way, okay? :beach:

Happy Friday Friends! :dance3:
I hope everyone has a great weekend. Getting my taxes done, hoping for a refund and making a trip to Costco. I love that place. :goodvibes

Me too. :thumbsup2

Um, anyone know how to dance. :rolleyes1

If we had a little pre-function at Trader Sam's plenty of Divas would be ready to dance, and I'm sure a few of us who didn't know would fake that we knew had to dance after a couple of rounds. :cool1:

 :lmao:

Weren't some of the Divas complaining about getting their pants wet on that ride? I guess that would take care of that problem. ;)

Well, Divas it is 5:00 o'clock somewhere in the world and it might be here! So Happy Friday everyone! :cheer2:

Trudi the one we saw was on Sat night. There was one on Sunday too?? Cool. I think they do a lot of them there because of all the people. In fact I swear I saw one there once before but I have watched so many on You Tube that I can't remember for sure if I "actually" saw it or am just remembering something I watch. EGADS I am getting old and losing my memory yikes!! ;)

Yes on Sunday around 3pm. I had just come out of Haggen Dazs and saw the very end. It was for a guys b-day.

I wanted ice cream before heading home and the line in DL at the place by the lockers was a mile long. Oh I could sure go for a cone now.:rotfl:

Well, the spouse supposedly passed his physical today and is supposedly reporting to the main office in Riverside with one other new hire on Tuesday. Supposedly he will fly out Tuesday morning at 6 AM (guess who gets to drive him to the airport at 4:30AM? UGH) and he will fly home Friday evening. I say supposedly because the gal who was supposed to book the airfare today DIDN'T and sent an email late this afternoon that she would book it Monday morning. But she did tell Russ the other day that she was looking at the flights and was planning to book him on one that left at 6 AM so he could get there in time for an 8:30AM meeting. I figured, since the office is in Riverside, that he would fly into Ontario, but nooooooo. The only flight leaving Sacramento at 6AM is going into LAX. Good news is that someone is picking him up at LAX, so he won't have to drive. That would be ugly. So, we continue to wait and see what's happening.

And since I hauled the nice, upholstered, patio chairs out of the garage last weekend, we are due for rain. Like all week. So, tomorrow the chairs go BACK into the garage. SIGH. If it was only going to rain one or two days, I'd just leave them out, but it's looking like EVERY. DAY. for at least 4 days. We need it though. I just wish it had come in JANUARY like it's SUPPOSED to. LOL

Got the new issue of Food Network magazine in the mail today, so I have some good "food porn" to read tonight. LOL Not sure what else is on the agenda this weekend. Laundry (in preparation for Russ traveling) and getting stuff put back in the garage from the back yard. And cutting up my first whole chicken into pieces. Whole fryers were 89¢ a pound this week and I have a recipe I want to make, but it calls for chicken pieces. The cut up fryer was $1.49 a pound. How hard can it be? Should be interesting. LOL

WOOHOO!! So... We just booked our flights to disneyland in June. IM SO EXCITED!! :cool1: In 10 years my husband and I have never ever once taken a trip alone together. NO KIDS!!! 5 days!!! :cool1::cool1: My MIL was wanting us to only stay for a couple of days.. But I think she can handle it. Hello... we had her kid for 2 years. lol! PLus when they go home to germany the following week.. she is taking our babysitter with her, so we will not have a chance to go out again... IM excited. Did I mention that? ;):rotfl2: :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I haven't read back, only skimmed, but I wanted to reply to a few things before I hit the hay. So tired...

How have I missed it? I haven't, but retaining info is another story. Remember, blonde moments and four kids who leave me dazed and confused most of the time. It's a miracle I remember to put on pants before I leave the house. ;)

Yay Megan!!!! I am soooo happy for you!!!! From one mom of multiples to another, I know how much you deserve and need this! :cool1:

Eyes are closing..........must go to bed......nighty night!!

Trudi that is cool that you saw that. Wonder if it was the same one?? I know what you mean about the ice cream place. Every trip we usually go at least one time to Gibson girl and I really missed it this trip although I have to say we were pretty good about no junk food. My mom loves popcorn and we never had any popcorn, pretzels, ice cream any of that. Shocking for us junk food junkies LOL. Def have to remedy that though next time I go ;)

Lisa good luck to your dh. I hope everything works out and he gets the job!! I know what you mean about the rain too. It has been such a tease. You expect it in the winter months but it is going to be "spring" in another few weeks. I KNOW we need it so bad but it has been SO nice I have been really enjoying it and looking forward to it staying that way. Want to be able to open my windows and sit out in the fresh air.

Hopefully this will be the last of it.

It's not hard to cut up chicken at all...I've been doing it for years. My kids were actually shocked to learn that most places have legs, wings, breast, back & thighs as pieces. Unlike at home where we have "custom" chicken pieces such as wingbacks, breasthighs & drumbacks.:thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Can we do the flash mob freeze someplace where it will totally mess everyone up...like halfway down the exit tunnel at Indy? There's enough room for all of us, we're sorta out of the way of prying CM eyes, yet it would really freak people out that walk down that way to see 60 women frozen in place.:rotfl2:

I can zumba, does that count as dancing?:rotfl2:

Happy Saturday, ladies!! :cool1: :) :sunny: I don't have a gosh darned thing planned to do today, but I am bound and determined to find something. Something that doesn't include the usual weekend trips to the grocery store that is!

TTYL!

I don't have anything planned either, I love it!
I'm planning my WDW trip so I stayed up super late to book my ADRs. Sadly I couldn't get Ohana :sad2:

I still have one TS credit so I'm trying to find somewhere to use it.

Later on I'll be reading the rest of the Hunger Games :thumbsup2

Well, it's done. Chicken is chopped. LOL I have breasts, thighs, drumsticks and "wingbacks". LOL The breasts were not cleanly butchered, but for my first try, it's not bad, I suppose.

I am getting ready to try and sleep some before starting my next shift. I really, really HATE DST considering it always messes my Sunday shift up royally. But I can take comfort in the fact this is the last time I will have to deal with it so drastically. Once I clock out at 8:15 tomorrow morning I will only have 2 more scheduled shifts at my store!! :scared1: I am trying to pick up a few more shifts though, but that's still crazy!!

Aww, bummer about Ohana. What other ADRs did you make? Did you get Prime Time?

I am trying to read MockingJay. The other books I read in no time. This one, it's not catching my attention at all.

Ugh, I cannot cook meat. Never have, never will. Other than perhaps ground meat for tacos and such. But if we want chicken I'll go buy a rotisseries chicken. I just can't handle raw meat.

Wow, 2 more shifts after all these years. How does that feel??

I'm freaking out a little bit, but it also feels a little disjointed. As of right now I have all of this upcoming week off (minus tomorrow) and then my last two days are next Sunday and Tuesday. I am so not prepared to leave just yet. There are still so many people to say goodbye to. Heck, there are quite a few people I haven't even told in person yet because I just haven't seen them! I'm kind of running out of time and I'm getting a little emotional at work these days.

All of my post-HS life has been at this store. I'll feel very weird without it!
