I am super de duper excited that you are coming Tina. Awesome Hurrah.

Me too!

I'll still be there on Monday, Tina. :goodvibes I'll be happy to join you for a show at the Golden Horseshoe.

Goodie! I'm looking forward to spending some time with you again, Chris!!

I have done absolutely no prep for this trip. I did get me hair done last week, and will get a pedi this week, but other than that, nada.

I'm working on a bid for a really big job, and it is due Feb 27. I'm thinking all my free time will be devoted to that between now and when I leave for the trip.

I hope you all had a great weekend! I really can't wait for some quiality time with my girls!

Right now, in front of my house, I have a 40' trailer with 4 - 42" Flat Screen TV's, each with an Xbox hooked up for 16 teenagers to game their little hearts out for three hours!! A new company started up in our city called Rolling Video Games - up to 16 players can play together! Rumble seats and surround sounds - a teenage boys dream!!

Similar company started up in Twin Cities, I don't think its the same name though... I entered a contest to win through a local free paper... booo.. didn't win.

We have enough gaming stuff, our small apartment becomes teenage boy central nearly every weekend. Poor hubby has to dialyze surrounded by game crash, zap, rumble noises and stinky teen boys peeeeewwww.

I go hide in my bedroom with the door shut, my cat (female) hangs out with me and keeps my toes warm while we watch girly stuff like "say yes to the dress" and crappy made for TV romantic movies. princess:

I don;t know if the code expired at the end of 2011, but try this code for super shuttle: UYR59. It's a Travelocity code. Retailmenot is still showing it as an active code. It's for $3 off each way.

It still works! I love finding codes to make everything cheaper! I tried to see if I could gt a lil extra in any of the point programs, nope.
Air miles, but that is not much use to me.

It looks like I can now add a 6th trip to Disneyland to my year! The DH and I decided to go for our anniversary weekend October 12-14. I will miss you ladies by a week, but we need some time alone and he was the one that suggested DL! :scared1:

Awww, sounds like you have a very sweet hubby. :lovestruc

I had fun shopping at the grocery store on Saturday, 10 doubles.. woohoo! Yep, I live a pretty boring life. It's exciting to see how low I can get - who needs drugs? Just use coupons for a natural high (cheaper too). :thumbsup2

My sister brought over some treats to sample. She is making cupcakes and mini cheesecakes for my parent's 50th anniversary party. (I didn't know my parent's church planned a big party, it's on the 25th-- you know, while I'm with all of you lovely divas. :rolleyes1 Mom didn't tell me until January, after I already had my tickets.. :guilty: bad daughter...) We devoured every single one in just two days.. mmmmm, mmm, ahhhhhh sweet lovely sugar coma.

One is a brownie with a triple layer topping of fudge, marshmallow and chocolate ganache . It has Godiva chocolate liqueur in the batter.
She said she will call them "OMG brownies", we teased her back and said they should be the "Big O brownies" ::blush:: Surprisingly not sickly overly sweet, just a lot of nice flavors meshing together.
And for the non-chocolate lovers (is that possible??? allergies aside) coconut cupcakes. MMmm, a nice light bit of sweet.

She had made several variations on each type to tinker with the recipes, she was glad to share this batch with us.

We heard the menu the church planned: chicken (breaded in crackers? or something equally not good for you), green bean casserole (ugh), potato salad, and rolls.
Okay, who planned this out? :confused3

Way too much salty, carb filled, fatty foods. My dad is diabetic and has congestive heart failure, he shouldn't eat any of this.
So glad I'm not going, I would be starving (except for all the yummy cupcakes of course ;) mmmmmm).

Hello, ladies!! :) Happy Monday!! (yes, that's sarcasm)

Has everyone heard about Whitney Houston? Sad troubled life she led.
My son told me about it. He'd been listening to the radio. I was watching tv and had no clue. So sad.

My son has now thanked me 5 times!! Even texted me to thank me! He is usually a polite kid but this is going overboard. So I know it was a big hit. It was amazing to stand right next to the trailer and not hear a sound when the door was closed!
Aw, that's great. I checked their website and their prices weren't as bad as I thought. But, they don't have one in our area yet.

But it's over and I'm another working day closer to leaving for Disneyland and seeing the Divas!!
Yay!! Just focus on that happy thought! :cool1:

Just a quick hi and bye from me.
Hi Katie!

I suppose sometime today or tomorrow I need to make a Valentine for whats-his-name too, huh? LOL
:rotfl2: Probably a good idea.

I do have back to back out of town-isms. My DD11 and I go to Ohio this week Wednesday-Sunday to see my parents, then the DIVA trip, so maybe that is it.
Busy, busy! Have a nice family visit. Here's hoping for some snow!

That was too weird about the guy at your party. That's one reason I am not a fan of throwing kid's parties, you never know what's going to happen or who will show up. :rotfl: I posted this before, but I remember one year the twins were invited to a swim/luau party for a friend. When I walked them up to the door to drop them off, the dad of the birthday girl opened the door wearing a Speedo!! Yikes.

I love my coworkers and all, but I just need some fun with some great divas and some decent weather!
That reminds me...time to obsessively start checking the weather!

Good luck!! :wizard:

I watch Say Yes to the Dress now and then. They get pissy if the bride doesn't say yes. LOL
Have you ever seen My Fair Wedding with David Tutera? I love his show. His ideas are so amazing. Then again, it's easy when you have a team of helpers and unlimited funds. ;)

Everybody must have the Monday blahs or blues.
I thought the Grammy's were pretty good, nice seeing the old timers, Sir Paul, Glen Campbell, Beach Boys. I only watch for the performers and the dresses. Who cares who wins.:rotfl:
It cold and windy here. What's the weather supposed to be like for our trip? I'm hoping it's warmer than colder. I want everyone to see our Tees.:rotfl:

It's quiet here and on FB, so maybe you are right about Monday blahs. Or just that it's a busy Monday!

It's cold here too, in the 50's. We've had such a mild winter, I don't like it. Temps have been in the mid 60's almost daily, with little rain. It won't take long, another two months or so, before the temps will start to really warm up! :scared1:

I know everyone will hate me for this, but I am hoping for cold weather for the trip. :rolleyes1 Maybe even a day or two of drizzle. It won't happen, but it would be nice!

Hi everyone. I am Carol's (karylrocks) daughter Lisa. I'm really excited to meet you all and to get away from the husband and 2 year old boy, although I'm feeling a little guilty, but I know that feeling will go away the minute I step off that plane :woohoo: See you all in Disneyland.

Eek a speedo!? Must have been a brave man.

I want to check the weather too, but all too often the weather they post 10 days out changes by the time you get a day or two out. :confused3 Last year I wore shorts, but since I have not been running I am not as confidant as I was last year - capris and knee-length dresses for me if it's warm and jeans if it's cold!

Hi Lisa! I'm looking forward to meeting and rooming with you :goodvibes

Gonna go out and look for a new car today - hopefully we find one at a great price.

Next week!!! :cheer2: :cool1: :thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :cool2: princess: pirate: :upsidedow :flower3:

Oh, I just found out I may be bringing a Flat Stanley with me! I'm not sure how long I'm supposed to keep him before sending him on but he should be here this week!!

It's Monday? Eeep. I feel a little out of whack today. What a wonderful way to start off the week, lol.

Looking forward to meeting you and I bet that guilty feeling will be gone as soon as you walk out the door.:rotfl:

It's 40 here and pouring rain and it feels like snow.
Beth, I'm not with you hoping for a little drizzle on the trip.I want warm weather. I want to eat dole whips and gibson girl out in the warm sunshine.:)

Cool! I want a pic with him!

It's official, I just booked one extra night with the RR at the HOJO so I'll be staying until Tuesday. I just really don't want to get stuck in traffic on the drive and this way I can leave in the early morning again. Or that will all go to heck and I'll still go into the park for an hour or two. But hey, it's a good rate and I have the extra day off work.

So Tina, I expect another last minute ride on TOT ;)

Your wish is my command!

Are you flying out of SNA? If our flights are close enough, maybe we can share a cab.

Our flight leaves at 6:55pm.......taking a shuttle always gets me out there around 4:30.....I hate that!!! So we are planning on using a taxi this time....so we can wait a tad longer before leaving the parks. What time is your flight?

My flight leaves at 6:00. I'll probably need to leave a little earlier than you.

Well poo! Last time they got me there at 4:30 (and I set my pick up time for 4:30).....then my plane was about an hour delayed......so I sat there for 3 hours......yawn!! :sad2:

Hi all! Was gonna say "happy Monday", but now it's Tuesday! My fabulous day included laundry, grocery shopping at the OH SO FABULOUS WalMart and then a small Food Network marathon in the craft room while I worked on my little project. DH has a job interview tomorrow. AT FIVE PM. IN PALO ALTO (2.5 hour drive from here to Stanford). Yes, on Valentine's day. And if the interview takes more than an hour, he will probably spend the night down there - he's not a huge fan of driving at night - I'm the driver in our family. It's not like we had anything planned, just lunch at Red Lobster. They will still be there later in the week. LOL. It also buys me another day to make his card since he has a morning meeting at 8:30 and then he's leaving here around 10AM and heading to his mom's (she lives about 10 minutes from Stanford). So tomorrow morning will be kinda hectic and then I will have the house to myself until at least 8PM. So that's all the excitement here...... wheeeee..... LOL
