Hi Girls!
It's been a hectic week since we got back from our weekend quickie to DLR!
Callie: I'm sorry to hear about your friend. That sounds like a real bummer. But here's something to cheer you up:
Our boyfriend says hi and "Cheer up, Momma."
And here's a shot of my two favorite guys:
My husband, Marty always seems to get into the show somehow. Is it me, or does he look exactly like Paul McCartney in that wig?
We had a great time, just the two of us. Since I was up all night with insomnia, we left the house around 5 am, and were at the park in time for a corny dog lunch. But the first thing we did is head over to TSMM. All I can say is WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We loved it. The wait time said 60 minutes, and we were on the ride in about 35. We rode it about 5 times over the weekend, but used the single rider line. We always got on within 10 minutes and were in the same group of 8 passengers. It worked perfectly for us!
We went to the Billys show at Saddleback College, and that was also tons of fun. We had front row seats, but they were very strict about taking pictures, so I only got a couple.
We also got to ride in the Lily Belle. I went up to the Main St train station during the parade and just asked the first person I saw. He said he had to check and was back within a couple of minutes and said it was on its way in. It was really a neat experience! Here is a photo of Marty enjoying the luxury ride:
We ate at the French Market for dinner one night, and it was really good. I had Roasted Chicken with mashed potatoes, veggies and corn bread, and Marty had Salmon with rice, veggies and corn bread. It was not cheap, but it was good.
We also ate at Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast and lunch and Rancho del Z for dinner one night. The rest of the time, we just "snacked around." I did notice that the bakeries at the resort all featured a variety of cupcakes ranging from around $2.75 to $4.50. I'm not really a cake person, but they sure looked cute.
Well, that's it for my mini TR. If you have any questions, fire away.
I'm feeling a little sad, because this is the first time in literally years, that I don't have specific plans for my next trip. We always go during the Christmas season, so I better get planning.........
