Hi everyone,

I hope you all have had a good week. It's been crazy here at home and I had several pages of posts to catch up on when I logged in tonight.

I'm spending the weekend in, working on a huge paper I have due Sunday (well ok I should be working on a paper, but obviously I'm here instead)

I'm trying not to be too depressed that POTC will be down for refurb during our Oct trip. I just don't have the heart to tell the kiddos yet.

I can't believe I haven't posted here in a while. Life has kept me busy. And it will only get more busy once the semester starts up. I register this week and I am already feeling overwhelmed. I did make the decision though to not over load myself, but in doing so, I tacked on another semester. Not what I wanted to do, but better than a breakdown you know. At least I have this trip to look forward to.

I've been trying to keep up with the postings as much as I can though. Hope everyone is doing well. Hope to post again soon!

Hey Stacie!! Good to see you! Sorry to hear you've been so busy. Seems like that's the theme around here lately. Glad you had a chance to pop in and try to stay sane!

I am really bummed about POTC too. Not only that but Fantasmic, and Aladdin will be closed as well. Three of my favorite things at the parks. But what can you do. Just make the best of it I suppose.

Exactly!! I finally got into the groove late last night, stopped surfing the Disboards, and cranked out the paper. Went to bed at 0430 and the darn kids were up at 6am!! But at least its done.

And I'll get to do it all again in a week. If only I could just learn to NOT procrastinate. Oh well...

Hope you are all having a good weekend. I'll be in my robe, stumbling around the house like a zombie. My 5 year old asked if I would go in the pool with him and I said "sorry honey, mommy didn't get much sleep and I'm kind of a zombie today." 5 year old response (as he looks at me in horror) "mommy, you're not a zombie, you have feet, and you can walk, and you're not scary at all."

I'm in an online program through Excelsior College. I'm working on my Master's in Nursing Administration. Chipping away, little by little.....

Wow! Don't envy you--especially with little ones at home. There's quite a few of the "Dis Divas" who are going to school--many holding down full-time jobs at the same time. I don't know how you all do it and manage to get your Disney fixes in! LOL But glad you all do . . . . .

I booked a room for one night at PP (view room) using DD's CM rate of $182 and then called back to change to AP7 rate of $159 for Oct 17th. Can you believe the AP rate is better than CM? Go figure! I plan on having dinner with you guys and then going to the Halloween Party at DCA (bought tix already). Is anyone else going that night? Beth, you are going on Oct 16th, right? I look forward to seeing everyone again! Haven't read all the posts, but Cristabel, I hope your pops is doing well.

Hi Linda! That is crazy that the AP rate is better then the CM rate. You'd think they'd be the same or better.

Yes, we are going to the MTOT party on the 16th. I think Melody (tinkermell) was going to the party on the 17th but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm so excited to meet up with everyone again, and see some of you for the first time!!!

I know, it is crazy about the rates. Usually her rate is about 10% less than AP but a few times this has not been the case. Of course, I speak from lots of expereince as I have stayed on-site (and off!) over 20 times in the last few years. Yikes! Anyway, yes, it will be fun to have our mini-meet and chit-chat (way too may hypenated words ) and enjoy DL and surroundings. I will have to keep my ears open for who is going that night.

I am also going Sept 12-13 utilizing Hojo's Ent rate. I know that trip will be very fun as crowds will be light. I look at it as my mellow, relaxing trip. I don't know why.

That ent. rate at the HoJo's is so great! I can't wait to stay there sometime so the kids can try out the new pool/play area. It looks like so much fun.

September seems like a good time to go. Everyone is just starting back to school so no one should be taking vacations. I hope the weather isn't too hot for you.

We are staying at Hojo's for our Oct 19-24 trip. I can't wait! I hope it will still be a little warm as I know the kids would love the water area. I was able to get the ent rate for all 5 nights!! Wooohooo

Linda: I am also booked at PP for the night of the 17th! At the same rate for park view room. Still trying to get Sat. night too so I can make a weekend out of it! I am planning to go to the Halloween Party on the 3rd.
