I forgot to sympathize with your lost glasses. I, too, am blind. I have contacts I wear most of the time, but back up glasses. I managed to lose a pair of glasses somewhere in my house and spent 4 months kind of looking for them, and finally had to admit defeat and get new ones. That was like 3 years ago and the missing glasses are still lost!! Mystery.

But, when I lost my glasses, I decided to get the CHEAPEST replacement pair I could. I got them with transition lenses for $139 through costco. The have been fine. No designer name, but I get compliments!!

Too bad I won't see you in March. AMY

I meant, sorry I won't see you in OCTOBER. Potato/potaato...don't know what happened with my short circuiting brain.

I am not sure I will be there in March,,,,still working out the logistics with my conference in February, not sure how much time I can take off having been just off.

Man, I just reread that sentence and it doesn't make sense to ME!! I'd fix it, but can't see how to make it clearer. It is hot!!!

Sorry I've been MIA. My friends (my best friend in the whole world, Riley's best friend--my friend's son, and my BF's daughter) left, and then Zoe got walking pneumonia and is pretty sick. We have to "keep her quiet", which takes all of our energy and time, as those who have met her can attest, she's not a quiet kind of girl!

I've been reading alot more than posting. Been thinking about you all.

Steph, it would be so great if you're able to join us in Oct!!

Mini meet: Okay, so I went from not thinking I would ever want to do another one, to trying to figure out next years. However, I could make the Friday in October. I am expired at the moment, but will be re-upping before then. I do get the S. CA cheap one, so Saturdays are out!! Unfortunately the entertainment rate is not available for that night!!!

OK, so does that mean you can make it in October or not? You confused me.

I would love to join you for the mini meet in October but it's a week before I'm heading to Disneyland and DCA for Mickey's trick or treat party so I can't spare the gas Oh well I'l see you in March!

Shoot. Well, maybe by then gas will be cheaper. I know, I know, sure, right. It's a nice thought though. LOL

Hi Michelle, I'm sorry to hear that about Zoe. Poor thing. It's so hard for a kid to have to rest and be quiet, so I hope she starts to feel better soon.

We have a Cheesecake Factory down the street from our house and while we don't go often because of the cost, when we do go, I'm always too full for the dessert afterwards! I've said that I'm going to go and just order cheesecake but so far I've been to embarrassed to do so. LOL We'll end up taking some cheesecake to go and eating it later.

My Mom is feeling really good--the swelling is going down on her face. I think she was a little scared to go out for dinner (afraid people would stare at her--it is definitely noticeable--at least for now). But no one seemed to stare -- which was good.

My college roomie is coming next month and I have warned her to warn her 9 year old that "Grandma Doris" has had some surgery and may look different so she doesn't get upset.

My Mom has to have some additional surgery in a couple of months--outpatient--because when they did the transplant they transplanted too much (better than not enough) so they will need to take that off. Right now it's a lump on her neck.

Ooh!! I would love to join you! We plan on coming in on the 17th, and taking my family to Mickeys Trick or Treat Party that night, so not sure how this would work out. I still have to buy the tickets for the event. Trying to get everyone's answer is hard sometimes, and I don't want to buy too many tickets, and be stuck with them, if they can't make it.

Beth, That is what I was hoping for! Maybe to have a light dinner with you, and then head to the party with the rest of the kids.
I just don't know how soon, we are going to be able to get away that day from home. It could be that we will be making it to the MHTT just in time for it to start.

In the meantime, I will hope that I can be there on time to join you too.

We also had cereal for dinner last night and PB&J sandwiches. It was just me and the girls, so I did not feel like cooking.
