Don't suppose those days are flexible to say the weekend before? I probably can't make it anyway, but might be able to work something Oct 11-12.

Also, looking at a possible mid September DL trip with the family.

Funny, seems like most people can't wait for summer and think it goes too fast. I can't wait for summer to be over, so the crowds and heat will be gone. It's like 90-95 here and I'm hot. No airconditioning at home, so I'm trying to think of something indoors or wet to do today. No complaining to this hot weather group...I know...

Hi everyone. Mom is still here so just wanted to pop in and say hi.

Beth count me in on the mini meet. I'm ready for another one.

I also wanted to be added to the Walk in Walt's footsteps tour. And pencil me in for the VIP tour. We have to see how the cash flow is by then.

Well I got good news twice this week.

1) Christian got an insulin pump start date of July 27th. He will go in the hospital Sunday morning and released on Monday evening.

2) Christian got accepted to go to The Painted Turtle Diabetes Camp. He will be gone from August 18th - 23rd. And Anthony starts band camp the same week. What will I do with all that time? Hmm maybe some free time at DL!!

Well have a great weekend. I will be on more after Tuesday when Mom goes home.

I am desperate to try the food at Cafe Orleans, but there isn't anything there Ruben and the kids are interested in eating. Sooooo, I was wondering if anyone would like to meet up for dinner and some rides on Saturday, October 18?

Not really. The only one would be Ariel. We were just there last month. The Princesses walk about by themselves. Unless you could get someone sitting near by or a server, there really isn't anyone to take the pic for you. Ariel is up front by herself with people taking your pics. That would be one for sure you could hop in and know someone can take it.



I would be interested in doing a mini meet on that day. Its a long time away, but I'm down for it. I can't remember the last time I ate at Cafe Orleans. So that would be nice. And I am always up for any reason to go to the park. So count me in.

Hey Stacie, thanks for that info. I guess if I really want to be in the pic I could ask a server. I hate myself in pics anyways, so it probably will be a non-issue! LOL

YAY! If you came to the mini meet I'd finally get to meet you. It is a long ways away, but I'm in planning mode still and just thought I'd throw that out there.

I'm sorry. I can't change my dates. We're already booked for the 14-19th.

I hear ya on summer though. I am not a fan of this season. When we were in MI we didn't have A/C and on those few days it hit around 90 it was miserable, so I feel your pain!
It's going to be 114 here today but we have A/C now so it's not as bad. We just can't do anything outside. I hope you can find a way to stay cool!

I'd love to do a mini-meet in October, but we're leaving on Oct 18 I'm coming Oct 14-18 with my DS, my sis, and her two DSs for the Halloween Treat or whatever it's called This will be the first trip EVER for my sister and her two sons, so we're really excited!!

I'll be there with my family and we are trying to cram as much into this trip as we can, since it's our APs will be expiring, BUT maybe we could do dinner on Friday the 17th instead. Would you be able to make that?

I was thinking the same thing. I can go any day, except Friday, between 8 & 5. I have to take Anthony back and forth to band camp.

It is a camp for kids with Type 1 diabetes. Since they can't go to a regular summer camp. I think it was started by Paul Newman. It is free to the kids that attend. You should check it out http://thepaintedturtle.org

We are trying to get tickets for the Halloween Treat on the 16th (but I have to wait for Aug 1 because I have to p/u my AP when we go in August - so keeping my fingers crossed that our day is still available then ). I got awesome air fare for both trips, which is how we can come at least two more times this year - Yay for cheap flights

Not sure if the story is true or not , but that definitely looks like one of the Disney Ariels. The costume is identical to the one I just took a pic of when we were there. (it's posted in my TR on page 11 if you want to look for comparision)

isn't that the Jack who had the article in some magazine where he talked about having "groupies" who followed him around? I thought he was dating one of the other characters and was trying to keep her identity secret so she didn't get fired too?

Sigh. My college roommate has moved up her visit to a week earlier than anticipated~! Which means that I have one less week to get my house ready for company~ Yikes~! so I'm cleaning and Dis-ing when I get too hot to do anymore (I have the air on but it's really humid here right now too).

We are now going to DL on July 10th--I know it's going to be a hot, long day~ I need to call and make PS for the Lilo & Stitch breakfast for the following Sunday the 13th. Her daughter's favorite character is Stitch.

Are you all dressing up?

Not sure yet if we're dressing up. We were thinking about being a group of pirates, but we may just go with getting some Halloween Disney shirts instead. I may wuss out on the costumes.... My DS is 12 and my oldest nephew is 13, so they were not THAT into dressing up to begin with and then when I said it won't actually be October 31, they're not so into the costume thing. Getting candies and partying in DCA for Halloween, YES! Dressing up in costumes, not so much Either way is good for me - we'll be in Disneyland

I can do either the 17th or 18th as well. I only said the 18th at first because it's a Saturday and I just thought that might be easier. But Friday would work too. I was just trying to avoid days like Sun-Thur where there is work and school the next day.

So if the others can do the 17th, then that's cool with me. I'm excited too! I'll get to meet some more of you all, and try a new restaurant that so far everyone who's been there seems to like. And I'll try not to think about this being our last family trip with APs.

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. It seems really funny from the trailers.
