HI Everyone!!

A quick check in!!

I had such a nice time Friday night. Wendy, (really 23 years old) Stacie and her mom Christy were so nice, and it was fun sitting at their table. I thought it was just plain nice to be there, and meet everyone again. And to meet new faces too!!!

I thought DL was busier than it was in April for our last meet. What about the rest of you?

Oh, and Stacie...........the picture of me outside looks like I'm mad. I really wasn't. And Callie looks like she has a cigarette hanging out of her mouth!!:rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2: Sorry Callie..........................but it does kind of look like that.:rolleyes1 Oh and would you guys believe that she, and some of the ladies got Dream Passes again on Saturday. And how they got them was some big time planning on their parts!!!

The Halloween party was alot of fun.......................but my 2 grandsons fell asleep way too soon. :sad1: They missed so much to do. I wish they could start it sooner, but I understand how it would be hard to do. I loved seeing all of the cute costumes.

Well I'm kind of tired.

Hope everyone made it home safe and sound! :grouphug:
Hi Melody!!! I am so glad you joined us for the dinner, it was great to meet you. :goodvibes
I'm sorry your grandsons feel asleep so early but I'm glad to hear you had fun at the party. Did you get a lot of candy?

The parks weren't bad until Friday, then that day and Saturday were just a mad house. I am really tired of being there when it's hot and crowded. I did enjoy seeing everyone though. That made it fun for me.

Let's hope March will finally give us a break though!! No more hot weather or crowds! LOL

So glad you all had a great time.

I'm officially a Disney addict. Today I entered my last 3 needed codes for my son's present. It cost 3800 reward points. We got him the Lightening McQueen TV/DVD Combo. I think we timed it so that he'll get it in time for Christmas. He's moving to his big boy bed around that time too. I'm trying to find a reasonably priced car bed for him right now. I've rambled on too much. Time for me to get some sleep.

steph
Hi Steph! That's so cool!! He's going to love it. What a great gift, and a car bed to match would be perfect. :thumbsup2

How are things? I missed you at the meet.

Hi ladies! Finally back home in Phoenix.

Mel, I agree it was more crowded than April (and I honestly didn't think that was even possible). It was the most crowded I have EVER EVER seen DLR, and hot too, and I can say I won't be going back any time soon. Not that I didn't have a good time, but as I've said before, the crowds and heat just wear me out. Thank goodness Cheryl let us stay with her at the PPH so we could have Magical Morning priveleges on Saturday or else I never would have found my happy place. :wizard: Saturday morning was gorgeous weather and low crowds until around 10 am, and we had a ball stalking the Dream Team with Beth. I'll let Beth share more about that experience when she checks in, but I do have to say that our Beth is a star actress in the making.

Wendy joined us for the rest of the day on Saturday as we mostly hung out in DCA cause DL was just too packed. Wendy, I really enjoyed spending time with you and glad you felt comfortable enough to hang around with us crazies!

I stood up my boyfriend on at the Shoe and took a much needed nap at the hotel instead so I could spend the last few hours at DL rested. I enjoyed the evening alone while the rest of the gals went on the Halloween Tour. I had the best time eating a Dole Whip while watching the Swing Dance Party at Carnation Gardens. What fun, and something I would never get to do with my family in tow. I ended up heading back to my family early instead of staying at the hotel on Sat night. There was no MM on Sunday, so I wasn't going to stick around. Cheryl and I both left at the same time (she had to work today).

Hope everyone else got home safe and sound and nobody caught any nasty Disney bugs (as I hear my dd coughing from her bedroom). I'm off to do more of this :laundy: before bed.
Hey Callie! I'm glad to hear despite the heat and crowds you were able to have a good time. Saturday was just the best day for me!!! I totally owe you, Cheryl, and Stacie. As Hannibal says "I love it when a plan comes together" and that worked like a charm! ;) It made my whole day. :goodvibes

I hope no one gets sick too. Although Adam was sniffling on the ride home. We opened and closed the park yesterday......8-midnight! It was fun, but I know it wore the kids out. Me too! LOL

Glad to hear that everyone had fun... Beth, I am dying to hear the story behind the DFPs!!!

We are headed out in 12 days and from what I am hearing and reading, DFPs are going to be a necessity to battle the crowds during Halloween weekend because I seriously think that at least half of the state of NV will be in Anaheim. I don't normally mind the crowds and we have a few FPs leftover from previous DFPs that I plan to take back. But I am gearing up for the battle of the DLR crowds. And, I need all the help I can get to keep DS and DH happy while Momma's in her happy place!
Good luck! And have a great time!! :wizard:

Yay, momma Beth is back! Glad to hear you guys really took advantage of your week. I'm looking forward to your reaction to your TR's status :lmao:and of course your actual TR.

Hey Cristabel!! Glad I caught you, I was almost off to bed. LOL It says I need your last name or email to add you. :confused3

I just wanted to chime in here, and say what a nice time I had seeing you guys. I really enjoyed our dinner conversation. :) At the same time, I wish I could have gone from table to table so I could talk to everyone.

There were people I recognized, new friends to meet, and more that I wish I had been able to meet.

Thanks for the pics Stacerita - they are a nice memento to a nice dinner. :)

Hi all! I just got home. Tearing myself away from Disneyland was impossible! :rotfl: Finally at 8PM I decided that I had to go home. :sad2: It was a great trip and I had A LOT of fun meeting with everyone! I'll try and post more when I have had some sleep. Thank you all for helping me find my happy place. :flower3: :grouphug:

The restaurant was nice. Way too cold inside though. And when we asked about the possiblity of turning off the fan above us, the CM kinda was snotty about it and just brushed us off. I know we were a large group, but I think the service could have been a bit better. Maybe the other tables felt differently, but I was in the corner and felt a bit ignored by the servers. The food itself was good. I shared with my mother. We had the house salads with the candied pecans and goat cheese. Very good. And we also got the monte cristo. Which was very yummy. We were so glad we shared. It would have been to much for one person. Wendy and Mel sat with us and they got bingets. They looked good. If I go back, I will definately get some of those. Over all we had a great time.

It was cold!! And I agree with the not-so-good service. And that's my DD, Christine, on the other side of me. Thanks for posting the pics. I was really bad and didn't take hardly any pictures. I'm glad others did. It was so fun to see everyone and meet the new ones, who have no idea what they've gotten themselves into!! :confused3

Hi just popping in. I know I haven't posted in a snake's age but I thought I would pop in to see how your mini meet went. Looks like you all had a blast. I am so jealous since my family and I went last year for a MHT party and we aren't going this year because of our big DW trip. I just love the parks all decked out for Halloween and we had the BEST time last year even though it rained during our party but my youngest won the scream contest so that made up for it and now with the demise of the Golden Dreams theater I have a feeling that contest will be gone as well.

I haven't really been to this thread much because I have said in the past I have been absoultely swamped with my kids in soccer and girl scouts and with school and of course our big trip coming up and plus I feel like I don't really know any of you that much but I am SO looking forward to meeting everyone in March and then I will feel like I can participate more. Plus once I get back from Florida I really plan on coming to this thread more because that will mean that this is my NEXT trip to plan. I am STILL waiting for stupid southwest to release the dates for March so I can buy my plane ticket.

Today is exactly 1 month till I leave for Florida so I am stoked about that but then once I get back it won't be long before March. I can't wait to meet everyone. You guys sound like a really fun group! Plus I will be anxious to get back to DL as it will have been since July since I have been there!

Hi Mary Jo! It was so nice seeing you again. It would have been fun to table hop and spend more time with each person.
Oh well, that's what the five whole days in March are for! Whoo hoo!! :cool1:

8 p.m.??? OMG, you are crazy! :rotfl2:

I think I was the only one not cold....:rolleyes1

I posted on a thread and almost everyone who did got their tags taken away and that one instead. I whined about it, but no one listened.
Aww man, that's too bad! I loved that Hooters one and it was from our trip too. :sad2:

Wow, one more month!!! So exciting! :cool1:

Hi!
I just got home a few minutes ago from the mini meet, gosh it was great to see everyone. It was a lot of fun! Stacerita, thank you so much for posting the pix! The unidentified girl in the photo between me and Beth is my DD Brianne the CM :) . We had a great time. The parks are packed, way too many people. Took the Halloween Tour tonight and although we thought they should have been more prepared for the GINORMOUS crowds, it was cute and fun. :thumbsup2 I will post more later, but just wanted to check in and say what a total sweetheart Beth is and that I can't wait for March!!!:dance3:

Did you do the 5:30 tour? We did the 5:15 on the same day. The crowds were crazy :scared1: The guides mentioned that they were unprepared for the crowds and no one anticipated it would be quite so crowded. It was a good tour though - we had a great time.

When you got to Guest Relations, did they say they were putting on Ichabod Crane and then the movie was actually Toad??? That was a bit strange.....

We were supposed to take the 5:15 tour, but there was a little confusion on where we were supposed to meet so they gave our spots away and put us on the 5:30 tour. :rotfl:
The crowds were ridiculous! Our group didn't even get to ride Big Thunder, because it was down. We wasted a lot of time waiting in line for ToT and Snow White, plus when we walked into Disneyland the parade was just ending and we had a REALLY hard time keeping our group together.
We got Ichabod Crane, but I've heard another person say they had the same problem as you about a week ago with it being Toad instead. :confused3

That's funny - too bad though. We did get to ride Big Thunder and it was fun (our first time on that one). My son wanted to ditch the tour though when we saw Tony Hawk on Main Street :lmao:

We got separated from our tour a couple of times because of the crowds too - a little scary. We only found them again because of the glowing green necklaces :woohoo: Half our group only went on Snow White because they were too scared of the other rides. There was one little girl on the tour though and I figured if she could do them, danged if I'm not going to!

I think the tour was our fave this trip though - we enjoyed it a lot more than the MTOT party the night before.

BTW - we saw your group at Cafe Orleans on Friday (we had dinner there at 5:50) but my son said he would just die if I went over and said hi, so I thought I better not kill him at the beginning of the trip....... Many more opportunities to embarass him later!

Thank goodness for those necklaces, it's the only way I was able to keep track of the group. It got confusing when I would see other people with those necklaces on that weren't a part of the 5:30 group.

It was a fun tour. I really enjoyed the part in front of Big Thunder Ranch, our second tour guide was hilarious! :rotfl:

You should have embarrassed your son and come said hi to all us crazies!
