GUESS WHAT????????????

It's snowing in Vegas! :rotfl: Well, technically it's snowing in Summerlin which is close to where we live. Our lawn, roof, trees, etc are covered in snow and it's still coming down. I couldn't believe it.

It's pretty though! The weatherman said there was a chance for snow today but I didn't believe him because they never get anything right. :rotfl2:

I had the twins put on their heavy winter coats this morning just in case though and they both groaned and said, "Why do we have to wear those? It's not snowing Mom!" (complete with eye roll  )

Uh huh. Oh yes it is!! :rotfl2: I took a pic and I'll post it later. I hope you all are having a good day so far. :)

MommaU4 SNOW?!?!?!?!?!?!?

I am so jealous!!! I am a few hours from Vegas and I wish we would get some snow! No chance here though as only the mountains are expecting it and we are too low of an elevation for this round.

This is my tree about two years ago I need to take a day one so you can see more of the ornaments.

Love the tree!! So pretty! And I'm not always the sharpest tool in the shed.....did I miss something? New baby? Did I know about this and just forgot (totally possible) or is this new news?

Hahaha good catch, actually this is totally brand new news, I recently found out, yup I am having a Disney baby! I am due in July.

Is it wrong I am already planning their first DL trip?? We also are still planning my birthday WDW trip next October, it will just be a shorter trip to the parks since my Inlaws all live in Cocoa Beach and I am sure they will still want us out :)

How exciting! I'm very happy for you. :goodvibes And it's never too early to plan their first Disneyland trip. I always said I was going to wait until my kids were around age 3 before I took them so they could appreciate it. Yeah right! Adam was 6 months for his first time. :rotfl:

Oh, and yes, SNOW! It's nuts. But cool too. The kids are in school, but I'm sure they are thrilled right now. LOL

NOT FAIR! It should so snow over here before it snows in Vegas. I get all the rotten luck when it comes to fun weather. We have rain...not so much fun as it is annoying when you have to dry off your dogs paws everytime she comes back in from the yard.

RALPHIEEEEEEE!

:lmao:

MommaU4 I figured as long as I can walk the park we are going!! My good friend took her little one at about 1 month, but then her DH works at DTD so it's a bit easier for her hahah!

Having a Ap means its just a day in the park in the end and a perfect time to take a ton of pictures of the little one in all the wonderful Disneyness!

Thank you! princess:

:rotfl2: OMG, that is exactly what my kids looked like when we lived in MI!! :rotfl: They'd be so bundled up they could barely move.

I can't believe this stuff is still coming down! It's not letting up at all. It's so pretty though. All the trees, even the palm trees, look like they've been sprinkled with a good portion of powdered sugar. :santa: Too bad it won't do this on Christmas day.

Awww, that's gonna be great. Nothing like seeing Disneyland for the first time through a child's eyes. You have many years of joyous memories in front of you.

I won't mention what happens when they become teens. :scared1: :sad2: ;)

Good afternoon all! Well I survived my day at work.

I went in to the doc and he said that this itching crap is just normal healing. He told me to keep taking my Meloxicam and that it IS working eventhough it doesn't SEEM like it is. BLEH. And that I need to have better posture and to keep doing my stretches and to take benadryl for the itchies. So I go back AGAIN next Monday and hopefully this will stop soon!!

Luckily I took some more meds as well and my headache is doing better so I was able to do a full day at work which I needed cuz I had a ton to do.

And Fairykin ALREADY on the Topamax! LOL Been on it for a year. I started out on the 25 mg and now I take 100 mg's a day. 50 in the morning and 50 at night. It works ok for most of the time but I found that besides all the OTHER reasons I get migraines I ALSO get hormonal migraines and thus the hormone therapy to stop AF. When I was getting the drop in estrogen during that time of the month I was getting REALLY bad migraines so now I don't get that with the hormones and that keeps things more on an even keel. But obviously if I am not careful about what I eat or if I don't sleep right or strain my neck or if it is too windy or on and on. SO many things can trigger one for me.

The topomax def helps and now the hormones but I have a LOT of triggers.

Also I got a call from the uro and my surgery is scheduled for Jan 9th. So hopefully I can get THAT prob taken care of now too!

So got LOTS accomplished today. With luck I will be almost normal by the ladies trip! ;)

Well gotta run get the girls. See ya later!

I am so loving these pictures!!! I love all the trees! So many fun colors and themes. The kids and pets are soooooooo cute too! I love seeing a bit about others like this whose posts I have read so much!

I also love that lake view WOW!!!!! My view is of my neighbors house or my own backyard. I am jealous ;)

I guess I can share my tree, it has become a family joke, I needed a bigger tree because my ornament collection out grew my 6ft tree, so we went to Costco and picked out a tree which looked almost too small in the giant wherehouse store, but is a giant 12ft tree that the angel actually brushes the ceiling hahaha! Every time DH talks about how Hugh the tree is I always remind him it looked smaller at Costco hahah!

It is covered in handmade ornaments from all sort so people we know, Nightmare Before Christmas, Disney, Hello Kitty, things from trips (mine and my Mom's), and many other odds and ends.

At least the new baby won't be able to get at the tree next year, but after that I think I am in trouble  at least I know it can support a cat climbing it ;)

Wait: did I miss something? NEW BABY???????????

lol--I see that Beth caught on to the new baby news faster than me! Heather, I am very very excited for you--what a cool Mom you will be!

Kelley: what do you take the Meloxicam for? I take it for arthritis.

I will try to take a picture of my tree tonight. I am jealous of the snow too--having lived in Utah there is nothing like the first snow of the season . . . . .

I am finally done with my Statistics final! :cheer2: I've sent it to my instuctor and am now done for the semester. Thank goodness!

Yay! Time to party!

A pic of DBF and I at my department's Holiday cocktail party.

What a cute couple! :goodvibes You both look so happy!

So I finally got the pics of my new tree. My trees theme is Mardi Gras. I am pretty happy how it came out. You can't really see it well in the pics, but there are lights on the tree as well as beads, ornaments and masks.

What a gorgeous tree! I could never be that creative. :rotfl:

They look thrilled!

Tabitha is a dead ringer for my Tiki--weight issues inclusive. However, he doesn't like the camera, so I don't have any pictures to post right now. I will have to see what I can get later this week of both him and Trixie, our other cat. She, however, looks nothing like Holly--she is a petite black cat who I am convinced can apparate and disapparate as she has a tendency to disappear for hours on end!

You should have seen them right after I put them on. They acted like I was abusing them and Tabitha was pretending she couldn't even stand up. My little girls are SO dramatic! I wanna see pictures of your kitties. :goodvibes

Hi all,

Just checking in. I probably won't be on much in the next few weeks. The Holidays are bad enough but I also have two papers due soooo...I need to try to stay off this site to keep up with things here.

Beth, I LOVE that wrap! I get it every time I eat there. I always say I'm going to try something else but I end up getting that wrap every time!! You're making me hungry just thinking about it now.

Hope you all have a good week,

Amy

Good luck on your papers and surviving the holidays!

I'm another fan of that wrap from Red Robin.

Our Christmas cantata went really well yesterday. I've been singing in choirs and ladies groups for years, and it was mentioned several times, that it was one of the best ones ever heard. Wow! Nice to know, when you put alot of time in it. We also have a new music director who is great. :thumbsup2

Hope you all have a good day!

Yay! It's always nice to know all the hard work and effort paid off. :thumbsup2 I miss you my Auntie Mel!

I hope you're having an awesome day!

Morning all. LOVE all the new pics. Love all the trees and Wendy LOVE the kitty sweaters. I think my cat would give the same po'd look if I tried that too LOL.

I didn't have a very good night unfortunately. The older I get the more stupid medical problems I have, I swear I am falling apart. I suffer from severe migraines and as it is I take several meds daily. Well my doc put me on some new hormone therapy and I was getting them EVERY single month like clockwork and since I tried this new stuff I was SO lucky to go 2 whole months without one and it was HEAVENLY but it was bound to end. The great part was I was also sans AF but I knew THAT was too good to last cuz now I have been spotting (sorry TMI) for about a week and a half (which I knew that was going to happen eventually from the LAST time I tried this) and now THIS. I woke up at 1 feeling like someone stabbed me in the skull with a friggin knife. When I get a bad migraine I have to resort to the big guns so I had to take a percocet and it USUALLY works but it didn't even make a dent. And then I have to sit completely up straight in bed with a washcloth over my eyes and an icepack on my neck. It sucks! Well I got up this morning and it was STILL killing me.

Hope you gals have a good day and talk to you later. :)

I love Holly's little hoodie, it cracks me up, but she always makes me feel guilty for dressing her up.

I'm sorry about your migraines. I get really horrible ones too that last up to a week. It's very painful and stressful to have to deal with. Here's my magic wand, use it to put yourself back together! :goodvibes :wizard:

Good luck on ridding yourself of pain!

WendyLouWho ..You are such a good MaMa to your furry babies...they look so cute in their clothes. Is your cold all gone? Do you feel all better?

Kelley... Three weeks before we left on our trip to disneyland I had to go for a catscan as my migraines became very bad. Then my Doctor put me on Topamax twice a day.. i have haven't had one migraine since i started Topamax. It really works for me.:thumbsup2

Nope, I still have my cold. It's been 2.5 weeks now. The doctor says that it is something that's going around and it can take up to a month to get rid of it.

My doctor also prescribed me Topamax, but when I went to go get the prescription filled, they said it would be $300, so I declined and said I would deal with the pain for free.

I
At least the new baby won't be able to get at the tree next year, but after that I think I am in trouble  at least I know it can support a cat climbing it ;)

Congratulations on your new addition!

Pretty Christmas tree. I know what you mean about stuff looking small in Costco. I had that problem with a TV, lol. It just looked SO tiny in the warehouse, but when I got it home, it turned out to be the perfect size. :goodvibes Costco is my toy shop. :rotfl:

Aw man I got up and she got up. Shucks! I'll just have to wait!
I did get this photo while I had the camera.
Sweet isn't it?

I have to go finish that laundry, take a shower, and head out to do errands.

See you all later!

What a cutie! I can't wait to see a picture of her in her Scooby-Doo shirt!

Yay for snow! On my way into work, there was a car next to me on the freeway that still had a bunch of snow on the roof. The snow kept coming off, so that was my little experience with it snowing! :rotfl2:

RALPHIEEEEEEE!

:lmao:

That's totally what I thought of when Beth was saying she wrapped her kids up in their winter clothes! :lmao: "I have to pee!" :rotfl2:

I hope everyone is having a great Monday!!!

Hi. I had lots of Christmas cards in the mail today! :thumbsup2 Mine are already to mail, I just need to get stamps.

It snowed at my house today! Too bad I'm at work. Hopefully it will still be there when I get home.

I didn't have a very good night unfortunately.

Oh Kelly, I really hope that you get some relief. That is just too much to bear right now. I agree that if the doc is not able to get you some answer's it may be time to get a second opinion! Take Care of Yourself. Tracey

Hey Beth, Netflix shipped out Mama Mia to me, so I'll have it tomorrow and I'll finally get to see it and tell you what I thought of it!!! popcorn::

Gives Tracey a hug just cuz it's good to see her!

hhhmmm... Kelley..wow... that's alot on your plate ... please take time to rest.. pain can drain you.. i'll keep you in my prayers.

wendylouwho... 300 buckarooinies... ohmygosh.. bluecrossblueshield covers it, that is simply ridiculous. i share mine with you?... :guilty: i'm worried we would end up in jail for sending prescription drugs through the mail.. ..i don't think we would do well in prison, my friend.

fairycat... aaaaaawwwwwww... a baby! May your pregnancy be healthy and your baby be blessed.

beth... snow? in VeGaS?! better add more LaYeRs! a piece of ice might fall and PoKe their eye out!:rotfl2:

little black rain cloud.... i love that story about you opening your gold necklace and WEARING it then wrapping it back up for christmas!:lmao: ohmygosh.. i have to tell that one to my mom.. she is such a christmas present peeker.. and she and i have a HiStOrY of me peeking in gifts..:rotfl:

Cheryl I am taking the Meloxicam for my costalchondritis which is this weird rib inflamation thingy I got while in Florida. It doesn't seem like it is doing much but he says it is an anti-inflammatory which is supposed to reduce the inflamation in my sternum which is causing the inflammation to spread out to the muscles inbetween my ribs. It is just weird cuz it causes this burning sensation that radiates to my armpit of all places that feels like a bee sting. And of course now that it is trying to heal I have this infernal itching.

And Wendy that is crazy about the Topomax. As it is with my insurance I pay 40.00 bucks a month and I thought THAT was bad. If I had to pay 300 there is no way but then between all my other meds I spend almost that much anyway. For my imitrex which I take if the preventative stuff doesn't work they charge the 40.00 for 2 lousy pills! RIDICULOUS. That is why I just kept my percocet from the last time I had some other ill. I used to take vicodin but that started making me sick to my stomach. I am VERY sparing though with my narcotics because they are the only thing that will knock out a really bad migraine and the imitrex works SOMETIMES but I can't stomach paying 40.00 for one stupid pill. I can get 30.00 percocet or vicodin for 10.00. That's IF I can get my doc to prescribe it. It is ridiculous that you have to BEG to get the medicine you need. I can't tell you how many nights I have laid in bed in massive pain waiting till the very last to take a pill because I didn't want to "waste" one. I usually try to meditate, take a warm shower, use ice packs or whatever and use drugs as a last resort if at all possible. And I live on Excedrin migraine too. I have had every drug there is. Fiornal, fioronacet (or however you spell it) Midrin, Tylenol 3 with Codeine, 800 mg Motrin, Imitrex shots, sprays, pills, Soma, I've had cat scans, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, electrical treatments and cortisone shots. I am just one of those LUCKY people that gets those nasty things and have about every known trigger there is.

And that is on top of now having these constant bladder type infection feelings which I have now been diagnosed with a thing called interstial cystitis and on and on. I swear I really am not a hyperchondriac. I just have all kinds of crap falling apart. It seems like I get ONE thing fixed and then something else goes wrong. Or one thing happens and it makes something ELSE go wrong LOL. Along with my bladder problem I was having IBS issues so I got to have a lovely barium enema in September. That was the worst torture I think I have ever had to endure. For someone who gets migraines that was NOT fun. I had to do a whole day fast the day before and then NO food or water from midnight on and it made it real tough to try to take my meds the next morning and I of course got a migraine from not being able to even drink water so by the time I got to the test place I was dry heaving and had one of THE worst migraines ever. So it made it REAL fun to try and lie there for an hour and have this awful test done. GOT to love it!

I have had more stupid tests done in the last year it's ridiculous! I can't WAIT for this surgery. They are basically going to blow my bladder up like a balloon but luckily for this one I get to be knocked out! Let's just hope that it fixes the problem!

Anyway that's my lovely medical novel. Aren't you so happy I bored you to tears! :)

You now know more then you ever wanted or needed to know ;)

Anyway I am off tonight to watch Heros and Dark Knight. Have fun and Beth I am jealous of your snow! Can't wait to see your pictures!!

Hi everyone!

I hope you all are having a fabulous day! It is 10 days until Christmas!!:cool1:

Kelley---I hope you start feeling better.

Heather---CONGRATS!! Babies are the best!!:goodvibes

Beth---I am shocked that it is snowing in Vegas! I wonder if you are getting the storm we had this weekend. It just kept on snowing and finally stopped this morning. Now everything is iced. The roads are sooo slippery!

We just spent almost $900 on new tires for our Durango.:scared1: :scared1: We needed them badly. We had been holding out on them to see if we could get them cheaper. Now I just have to pray for more money to come in so I can go on this trip in March. Being responsible bites sometimes.

I will try to take a picture of my tree tonight. I am jealous of the snow too--having lived in Utah there is nothing like the first snow of the season . . . . .
Can't wait to see your tree! The snow is nice since I know it won't be lasting five months like in MI. LOL The kids were having fun. I got hit with more then my fair share of snowballs. :rotfl:

I hope so!

Oh great! I want to go buy it. I never even knew any ABBA songs until we saw the play. Then I liked that so much that I had to see the movie. I really liked it. I hope you do too.

.. and she and i have a HiStOrY of me peeking in gifts..:rotfl:
I used to love peeking into the presents when I was a kid!! Now there's nothing to peek into. Ruben and I decided awhile ago not to do gifts for each other. With four kids there's already so much to buy. Plus if there is anything we really need or want, we just go get it. We don't wait for Christmas.

Anyway that's my lovely medical novel. Aren't you so happy I bored you to tears! :)

You now know more then you ever wanted or needed to know ;)

Nah, you didn't bore me. I just feel bad for you! That sounds like a lot for one person to have to deal with.
Enjoy your show and movie!

Hi there! Be careful out on those roads. I do not miss the icy roads at all. What a hassle to drive in.
Ouch on the tire price! I'm sorry. I hope it doesn't effect March. :( You can't miss out again!!
