Yep, I wouldn't dare be here without my laptop. How would I ever survive? :rotfl:

They are playing movies all day as well. So far they've shown Pirates of the Caribbean (first one); Prestige (some weird magic movie); and now they're playing National Treasure II. Wish they would have bought Wall-E!

I have National Treasure 2 but haven't watched it yet. Is it any good? I've never had to do jury duty. Do they give you coffee or anything?

just keep in mind that if they call you into a courtroom you cannot use your laptop in there--have to pay "strict" attention to the judge, etc. Not even read a newspaper. They really get their noses out of joint if you do. Don't want to have to come bail you out!

I liked Nat'l Treasure 2 better than 1. But then, I saw 2 first!

The Prestige is SUCH a good movie. So is the illusionist!

Cheryl, you and I both know that since I have a litigation paralegal background, I'm well aware of the courtroom protocol. ;)

Yea!!!! I just got released to go home!!! HALLELUJA!!

Hi, ladies!

I hope you are all well. I am trying to catch up...it seems like I am too busy to do anything online except school work and chacha. :headache: I am hoping that this Thanksgiving break will bring me some rest.

I am looking forward to disin!:surfweb:

Good morning ladies! Well, I'm officially in "Crazy Travel Nerves" mode. I'm leaving for DLR tomorrow morning.
Have a GREAT time!!! :wizard:

Nuh uh, I know who really makes your heart race at night, and it ain't no MONKEY! ;) :charac2:
:rotfl:

So, what do you all do on the VIP tour? I had my name on the waitlist, then took it off, and am now wondering if I really want to do it again. I've never been to DLR so I worry that it might be too much for me to take in. I was thinking that I'd do better just having large chunks of time to explore with. I don't want to miss out though. Do you get anything special on the tour? Where all do you go? Should I do it if a spot opens up?
I didn't take it last time so I can't say, but I did get to sit in the prefered seating they had for the fireworks and for Fantasmic and that was nice.

Is it Thursday yet!
No..........but soon!! Hang in there! :wizard:

Morning everyone. I am just popping in to say hi before I get into my statistics homework. We are supposed to be doing these big data presentations. Everyone has been working on theirs for weeks. So I guess I should start on mine.
Are you done yet? I saw you were proscrastinating. Tsk, tsk. LOL

Maybe you're right.....................The thought of those big goofy teeth and side burns is getting me all hot and bothered!
:lmao:

We saw the monkey bride at HMH in October - she is there :thumbsup2
OK, how much did Wendy pay you to say that? :rolleyes1

I need a swift kick in the you know what...
OK, if you insist......

That was fun! ;)

Yea!!!! I just got released to go home!!! HALLELUJA!!
:woohoo: Now run, before they change their mind!

Hey there! Good to see ya here. School work can wait, and nothings happening on ChaCha anyway. :sad2:

Hi everyone! Hope you are all having a good day so far. I found out last night that my mom who lives in MI, is going to be here on Thursday! She's in CA right now taking care of some family business, and then she's coming out to Vegas to visit with us for 5 days before heading back to MI.

So I decided since it's so close to Christmas to go ahead and put up my tree so she could see it. I just put up one. The one for the living room with the "fancy" decorations. LOL
The kids tree with all the fun Hallmark and Disney decorations, will go in the family room after Thanksgiving. That's where all the Thanksgiving decorations got moved to. So I have Christmas in one room and Thanksgiving in the other. :rotfl:

Let's see how sick of all the Christmas stuff I am by the time the actual holiday rolls around.

Heather, I saw a link to the puppies the other day and the girls and I were watching them. They are so cute!! :goodvibes

Are you still procrastinating? Do you need another kick? :rolleyes1

yep...but about different things now! :lmao:

My life is a never ending list of things to procrastinate. It's my hobby. :upsidedow

Who else is watching Wall*E tonight? popcorn::

My kids are so excited  , you'd never knew they actually saw it in the theaters on its opening day. . . :rolleyes1

Good news, I got my sister a 1-day Park Hopper for only $64:cool1: If you want to know how, I'll tell you but I'm pretty sure some of you won't like it. So I'll be sure to bring my flame suit when I reply. :stir:

Wendy! I see you and your monkeys are causing problems all over the DL boards. :lmao: :lmao:

I feel so horrible about that! At least other people know about the monkey though! The hyena reference was a thread that was posted (from a girl that frequents the chatty hyena thread on the Community Board) a few months back that caused quite an uproar among some DISers.

Are you done yet? I saw you were proscrastinating. Tsk, tsk. LOL

Not really. I never really got the homework done. I just went to work instead. I'm hoping I get a second wind and get it done when I get home tonight.

Oh, I need to add that I'm a BIG chicken, and don't ride the 'scary' rides. Pirates is about as thrilling as I can go.

Well, funny you should ask...I have not done the VIP tour, but have been dreaming and scheming since long before the price went up. Now, basically the only way I will ever do the tour is with 9 other people, as it is more than I could justify for my family. So, that is why I am so taking advantage of doing the tour with the gals. You will never again have the opportunity to do this tour for $75 or so. Here is my thread where I discussed my dream tour:

http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1875719

If you decide you want to go, don't hesitate to get signed up. It is sort of like a group exploration. Wild rides not required. If everyone else goes, you can stay and chat with the guide and get an insiders perspective. I'm sure you would not be the only one.

Have a great day!

Statistics was actually one of my favorite classes. Oh I miss those days when all I had to focus on was school and work!

Heather, I saw a link to the puppies the other day and the girls and I were watching them. They are so cute!! :goodvibes

Yeah, those puppies are really cute, until one of them lives with you. My sweet almost one year old just chewed the pants right off of my son's Mickey. Yep, poor Mickey is in the buff. The really great news is that the Disney Store has that size of plush on sale for $10, and then 25% off and I then get another 15% off of that! If only I felt like a new Mickey would be safe from "Robin Chewbaca "Chewy" Rodrigue".

I went to pick mine up from the Disney Store today and the darn shipment had not come in. Oh well, it is for my son's bday on Friday anyhow. He asked for it, but we did not see it in theatres. Someone told me today that they hated it, it was depressing and "dark". I really can't imagine. Someone else told me it was a love story?? Can't wait to see it myself.

I'm dying to see "Bolt", which looks really good to me.

Well Gals, after seeing the Tink that someone from the DISigns board made for us, I headed over there for the first time. You may not hear much from me for a while, cause that place is awesome! And what super nice people. I was able to get a couple of really cool Star Wars custom designs. I made custom treat envelopes for my sons bday goodies, that a DISigner MEL made for me. If you haven't been there, I would recommend a visit. Just be sure to come back.

Thanks for the link! It sounds like lots of fun to me. So, we basically tell the VIP guide exactly what we want to do, and they try to make it happen? What time do you think the tour will start? Are we only doing the 6 hours? How do you work meals into the tour? I'd hate to waste 1.5 hours of paid for tour time eating! Sorry for all the questions. I've just never considered doing it, but can see how this trip might be my one and only chance to do it. I'm now thinking I shouldn't have had Beth take my name off the waitlist. Also, reading that thread, a person mentioned that the front tables to Billy Hill were dream awards. Well, when we go there will be no such thing as a dream award! ;)

ETA-I just read "somewhere else" that there is a special VIP room in DCA with refreshments for those doing the VIP tour. Is this true?

I totally understand. My dog is nearly a year and she eats anything and everything off the floor and barks at me constantly. I really need to learn more patience because she gets me so easily frustrated.

They didn't have it?! That's outrageous! Every Disney store should have received their shipment to put them on the sales floor today. I should know, I work for Disney Store! I picked up mine today.

Bolt looks so cute, I can't wait to see it!
