So my DH took a mental health day yesterday so that we actually all had a day off together and it just didn't meet my expectations. I think I expect more out of days that we are all together because they happen so infrequently. I think I expect fun activities and a plan of action, not house work and diapers. I got quite a bit done, not tons, but more than I would have been able to do if I was having to watch both kids by myself, but, oh, I don't know.

My nephew came over to spend the night with my son last night. They had so much fun together. They ran around like crazy and just played so hard! It was fun to watch. I know they are going to have such a good time when we go to DL together in September!

Donna~ the hat store is fun. There are tons of hats. I help with the Relay for Life Cancer walk & there is a hat contest, so I went searching for a hat.

Hi Donna, Sounds like a great Derby Party. The hat shop in Leavenworth is more about funny, unusual hats. My kids love to to there.

We are making such a good dent on cleaning...all while Ayden spends most the day in his room. I just can't believe how that kid talks to an adult at times. There's absolutely nothing I can do about it either. I need a maid and boot camp!

How?? It's called teenage boys .

My son is good at making loads of laundry for me to do. My DD isn't bad at all & she even helps with laundry (she thinks it's fun ). But I could seriously strangle my son sometimes with the amount of clothes/towels he dirties everyday.
