You're so sweet, Courtney!
It's 10:45..and his flight is not in yet.:guilty:

Morning and Happy Saturday my diva friends!

Dawn I hope your hubby made it home safely!! :)

Courtney hope you had fun on your "date" night. I am curious what you thought of wild things. I LOVE the book but the movie just didn't look that good to me. You will have to tell me what you think. And LOVE Ihop! YUM!

Cristabel hope you had fun with your sleepover!!

Cheryl you and Amy have fun at DL with your puzzle day or whatever it is LOL. Sounds like fun!!

Mel I must have missed the post about your daughter but I hope she get well soon and is good for the trip next week!! Can't wait to see you!

We get a major chillax day today because our game isn't till 3:15 so we are going to kick back and just watch more disney movies today. I like days like this. The girls really need to pick the pomegranets but Shane wants them rested up so they do well this afternoon so chillax it is! ;)

Last night was nice. Lynn went to work and the 4 of us went to Denny's and Shane and the girls had breakfast dinner but I am not a big breakfast eater so I had shrimp and rice but it was fun to go out for a change. Then Shane went home and the girls and I went to girl scouts. I guess all the scouts in the entire service unit decorate 6,000 or so stockings for the needy. Last night each girl made one and I decorated 2 myself. Then we brought things to fill them with. So it is a nice service project for them.

Then we just came home and watched our tivos of Ghost Whisperer and CSI and we had a little camp out downstairs. It is fun to do that sometimes.

Anyway not sure if we will go to church tomorrow or not. We NEED to get the pomegranets picked and sold and this weekend is pretty much the only one we can do it in. So we shall see.

Anyway that's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a GREAT day today and fun rest of your weekend!

Take care and TTYL.

Tonight DBF and I are going to go watch Where the Wild Things Are. I'm so excited. I'm thinking ihop for dinner?

So how was the movie? My DS really wants to see this, he loved the book growing up & he wanted me to take him yesterday to see it, but I was too busy being a taxi driver.

Thanks for the good thoughts, He made it home at 1 this morning. But his luggage got here at 7 this morning, the airline lost it and delivered it this morning. I'm happy he is here! We've been talking about our trip this coming week.

Katie.. I want to see that movie too. I decided not to take the little kidlings because all reviews i've seen say it's not for little kids. But your son is a big so he should be into it. The music sounds great!

So we are going to make baby back ribs today.. and have the family over. I need to finish my costume. eeK!

So has anyone heard about a hurricane?:confused3

Well there ya go.. i was so happy i posted twice! What a dufus.

I hope the Girls are having fun in their puzzle at the park today! I can't wait to see the shirts AmySue made!

Morning

Dawn~ A hurricane? nope I haven't heard of one. Is there one coming? If so becareful. I remember last year with Marcie and the hurricane in her part of Texas.
The ribs sounds tasty!!

Happy Saturday!!!

Today is mine and DBF's (Jesus) God daughter's birthday party. She's Jesus' sister's daughter and she just turned 3. We bought her some clothes, an adorable pink poofy jacket and an Elmo doll. :cutie:

Hi Kelly! The movie was adorable. I loved loved loved it. The story is just so sweet. The movie doesn't so much have a plot and if you don't catch on what the point of the Wild Things to the little boy is, you may be bored? I heard a lot of people were bored. I just loved the visuals and the Wild Things looked so realisitic. Plus there were some super funny parts.

Oh, ihop was DELISH! :thumbsup2

Hi Katie! It was really good! I would see it again. Some parts can be a little scary, I think. Mostly when the Wild Things are chasing the little boy (it happens twice. The first time they want to eat him and later one of them chases him). I think that's why it was rated PG. Also just the story line. It may go over some kids heads. But I say take him! He'll enjoy it. It was just so adorable.

Glad he got home safely! :yay:

Yeah, it's kind of not for little kids. I would say 7 or 8 and up would be appropriate? We went to the last showing and it was all adults. Oh and the music was great. I saw the soundtrack at Borders yesterday, I'm thinking of getting it.

Oh no, there's a hurricane coming?

Speaking of natural disasters. There was an earthquake last night. :scared: It was a 3.2 and the epicenter? MY CITY. :scared1: We didn't feel it. We were driving. We went to ihop, then went back to my house because I forgot my jacket. Once we left my house, my Mom called us and asked if we were okay. She said they felt it pretty good. Once we got to the movie theater all kinds of people were outside. We thought they were waiting to buy tickets. But we found out the movie theater made them all get out. Then Jesus' Mom called and said she felt it and it was a loud boom sound then a shake. Then another shake. No thank you. All last night I thought there was going to be another earth quake.

Evening Ladies! Just spent the last few minutes catching up on the thread. Should have multi-quoted but didn't.:confused3 Hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!
Anyway, the last few days have been a whirlwind. Our anniversary was earlier this month and we weren't able to do anything because we couldn't get a sitter. My sister told us that she would watch the kids over another weekend if we wanted to get away. I have been spending alot of time on the WDW boards getting ready for our big Grand Gatherings trip in Nov 2010. Sooooo on Thursday afternoon I saw that they released Disney Visa 40% room only discounts for WDW in January - early Feb. That of course gave me a great idea! I called and got some pricing (good deals!!:cool1:). I was almost afraid to check on airline prices.:scared1: But SW had $89 one way fares from SFO to Orlando!!:thumbsup2
DH is VERY EXCITED! And of course so am I! :woohoo:
Of course I made sure it wasn't too close to the Ladies Only trip! Because I will be at that!:thumbsup2

On another note, My husband is at a "Burger Eating Contest" at a local Diner right now. I told him I couldn't even watch people stuff there faces like that. I really doubt he will win, but if he does he wins $750! :woohoo:

Aw, Cristabel. I see in your siggie Osita passed away. I'm so sorry. :sad1:  :littleangel:

Thank you, Courtney

Kelly, the sleepover was fun even if only four of us could make it. Merrilee, Bree, Beth and I watched the last part of Pride and Prejudice and then Dan in Real Life. We awoke this morning around 9am and Bree made pancakes for us :goodvibes which we ate while we watched Full House.

We changed and packed up our stuff and headed to Newport Beach. It's a nice beach but there are no public bathrooms. I had to watch about three blocks to the public library and change there. I got in for a few minutes after getting sweaty playing frisbee. We all layed out and got burnt  but I only burnt my face. I got tan everywhere else. We ate at BJ's and then drove back to school. I arrived, showered, super cleaned our bathroom (inspections this Thursday) and then cleaned my room. I'm pooped!

This is going to be a weird week because we have furlough days. I only have class Monday and Friday.

Morning and Happy Sunday!

Cristabel, glad you had fun with your sleepover! Sounds like a lot of fun!! Enjoy your days off school this week and see you soon!!! ;)

We had a lot of fun watching all our movies yesterday. The only one we didn't get to was Nightmare Before Christmas which we will probably watch sometime today if we get time.

We are skipping church because we HAVE to get the pomegranets picked today or else we won't have time to do it any other day. We already lost most of them to the rain last week. They all cracked open which is a shame cuz we had quite a few. But hopefully the girls will get a bucket or two to sell. Then Shane has to run over to my uncle's house to help him replace his garbage disposal and he wants to replace his faucets and sink as well although Shane is not going to do that today but rather just help him pick stuff.

Anyway I got all packed this morning. I figured I better do it since we leave in only a few day! Looking forward to my shows tonight and then tomorrow have to work and Tuesday I go back to see my urologist finally so I am hoping he can do something! Way back after my surgery last Feb he put me on this medicine but it doesn't seem to be working so I am really hoping there is something else that can be done! Then nothing wed other than the girls have church and then Thurs I have to work as does Shane but the girls have their early day at school. We don't leave till later though because I didn't want Shane to miss more than 2 days of work so our plane doesn't leave till like 7:30. Mom is going to take us to the airport so I think we are going to try and stop and grab some dinner on the way.

Anyway that's my week in a nutshell. SOOO looking forward to seeing those that are going! TTYL and have a great day today everyone!

Courtney..but what we really wanna know is what kinda jelly? Strawberry or Grape?

Aaaahh i want to see Where the Wild Things are!

Well my husband is stuck in Houston. The weather is bad and he's still at the airport. They say he will make it home it will just be really late due to bad weather. I worry him flying in it.:guilty:

I'm sorry about your DH in Houston....I hate when weather strands you somewhere.

And, PEACH or APRICOT are the bestest jams/jellies!

I am posting on the fly, as I am getting ready to fly out tomorrow, but wanted to ask for your help with the below:

Please take a moment to click on the following video links and then click on the 5th "not rated" star to record a rating for the video. We are having a "most clicks" contest for my work, and it is Seattle against the rest of the ...districts. Help me show them that Seattle is indeed the most tech savvy place there is and that you all "get" the click thing. Thanks for your time and feel free to pass along these links to anyone else that might click to help us out. PS You can click more than once by clicking refresh:)

Hi ladies!

Back from legoland. Weather was just awful: rainy and so cold. Good news was no crowds and my boys were oblivious to the wet and chill. They LOVED legoland. Just loved it. The rides, the Lego building areas, the shops, the legoland village (where we stayed the night). It was a joy to take them and hopefully none of us will come down with a cold frm being wet two days straight. Have only been to Carlsbad legoland once but think I liked this park better. Kids now like legoland better than Disney (not me though ;) ) and I'm sure we will be back when it reopens next spring. I put some pics up on facebook.

I voted - hope you win :thumbsup2

Hi everyone.

Dawn - Glad your dh made it home safely and they found his luggage.

Jen - Glad you all had fun. I'm sure when you all go in the spring you will have better weather.

I hope you all are enjoying your weekend. Yesterday at the air show was busy to say the least. They estimated that 160,000 people attended.

So today we had some errands to do. I have an important class to attend this week and I have to wear civilian clothing. Business casual actually. I never felt so weird as I did today when I was looking at clothing not to mention shoes. I have been so used to wearing one of two uniforms every day I go to work that I feel like I was shopping for the first day of school for me. I hope I did alright but I know when I'm retired from the Air Force I'm going to need some help (something like What Not to Wear, or a personal shopper of sorts) when I have to wear business clothing on a daily basis.

I also booked my PS for my birthday trip. :cool1: It makes the trip feel that much closer. I have a month to make my mind up on Fantasmic seating. I think I'm going to but I still have time before I can reserve.

Take care, talk to you all soon.
