I thought I remember Beth saying that the reservation had to be made for everyone all at once, or we might not be seated together... or was that for another place? Can't remember now...
Yes, that's what I was told. She said it's like buying show tickets, if you don't book them all at the same time, you won't be guaranteed of sitting together. And with any group over 14, we need to work with their events planner.

Anyway, I have much to say and no time to do it.

Kelly, I hope things go well for you!!
Same to you AmySue.
Deb, sorry about the sore throat and sore knee.

Umm, I will have to post more tomorrow. My in-laws are coming to stay with the kids tonight and I have lots to get done before they get here, plus go pick up Adam from his high school orientation. I'm a little sad about this, where did the time go?!?!?

Anyway, I will talk to you all tomorrow. Later! :grouphug:

I called HOB Anaheim today just so I would know a little more about how all this works since I've never been there before. They told me to call the sales department and I left a message with them to get more info. Thought I'd ask them if we could just put the deposit on more than one credit card. Will let you know what they say.

Hi Ann - I may have tickets for the D23 Expo for Sat. and Sun if you might like to go. I had gotten tickets for Bob and he found out he will likely be out of town on business. If you think you might like the tickets please let me know!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I can go on Saturday. Very kind and generous of you.

Ann

Hi, Diva's!

It's been a few months, but have been trying to read the thread and keep up with the goings on, just in case I might be able to join you after all.

It looked like it was better to cancel when my sil lost his job as it is very likely we will have to move when he does find a new position. Then one day it dawned on me - hey, it doesn't matter we were live, it's only a quick plane ride to DL. :thumbsup2

A little recap about moi: I'll be one of the most "senior" members of the group, haven't been to DL since 1996, I think, but it was the first park I ever visited, waaay back when I was a munchkin in 1958 - it's always been my absolute favorite(why do people think WDW is so much better?? :confused3 ;)). Once the kidlets were all grown up it was hard to find friends willing to go with me...the last couple of years I've been itching to visit DL again, but what fun is going alone? Then I came across your delightful thread and found an answer to a prayer.

If it's alright with you, I'll be a 'count me in' member of the group now and look forward to getting to know everyone in the next few months and meeting you in person come February. :teeth:

I may know WDW and Resorts inside and out, but nothign about planning a DL visit, so hope y'all don't mind a couple of questions:

How to find the best hotel rate and park tkts etc. (I will book a room, then if anyone needs a roomie as time goes on, I'd be happy to share. I know you have this pretty much covered, but one never knows if a need might arise.)

It's good to be back, but I was sorry to read some of the difficulties -

Kelly ~ hope all went well this morning - keeping a candle lit until we hear you are okay.
Deb ~ hope you are feeling better.
AmySue ~ think I read you were having knee surgery today... candle lit and hope everything went well for you too.
Cristabel ~ best wishes on the big move and new adventure! So exciting!

Did I read other kidlets are off to college? Aw, big day for everyone.

Yesterday was my Aunt's memorial service and it was really really nice. And really really sad. I wasn't real close to her, but my eyes still watered. It broke my heart to see my grandparents so sad. And my Uncle. He looks a lot like my Dad and I think that's why I got so sad when I saw him.

Hope all is well with everyone!!

I am so sorry I missed this earlier. My heartfelt thoughts are with your family.

Do hope everyone else is doing well... to all.

Cristabelita.. may this move be a blessing to You in ways yet undiscovered.

I hope your move goes smoothly! That sounds like a light load to me. :lmao: I'm a master packer though.

Have a safe move Cristabel. So exciting, a new adventure:banana:

Good luck to you Cristabel!! :wizard:

Have fun! I am excited for you and your college adventure! Oh and no sleeping while driving. ;)

I've been thinking about Cristabel all day--how excited she must be to be going to college and being on her "own" (and how scared too!)

And best wishes to AmySue who is having a knee procedure tomorrow a.m.!

Thanks for the reminder Cheryl!!
How exciting for Miss Cristabel!!! All on your own, and going to a new school. God bless and keep you this new year.

Cristabel - Good luck with the big move today sweetie. Whoo hooo! :woohoo:

Cristabel[/B]: So excited for your move! Good luck with everything. Wishing many wonderful things to come to you in this next adventure!

Hope everything with the move goes smoothly.

Cristabel: Good luck!!! One of the biggest fights I ever had with my parents was while we were packing the car for me to move into college my freshman year. I hope things go much, much smoother for you than they did for me!

Cristabel, I hope your move goes smoothly.

Thank you :grouphug:
Yesterday was so hectic and I was so beat afterward that as soon as my head hit the pillow I was OUT. We arrived to CSUF around 1pm and I was surprised to find that there was no line for checking in, SCORE! :thumbsup2 We had to do extra walking because I forgot my driver's license in the car which was needed to check out a bin to transport all my stuff to my dorm as well as put a parking permit in on my dashboard because parking tickets are $40 a pop here and they have NO mercy.

Two of my aptmates were already unpacked in the kitchen so I had to either pick the highest or lowest shelves and cupboards. I did find out that I have the resident adviser living in our apartment. I met my first roommate, Elizabeth (aka Beth), while both of our families were helping us move in to our assigned rooms. She's a sporty, laid back freshman. I got the room I wanted! It's rather small but I love it! Then I met Lisa, a very petite freshman (seriously she is like this *holds up pinky finger*), while she and her dad were trying to arrange her room. I met my RA on our way up to the apt coming from Food 4 Less. She, Brynna, is a very sweet Sophomore. After the H.O.W (housing orientation week) event that night we all met up in Beth's room and started chatting. We were all thrilled to know that we are all Christians :thumbsup2 :cool1: and we're all in the same predicament of finding a church. There is one within walking distance from school and we're thinking about trying it out soon. I might go this Sunday to check it out.

We headed to our bedrooms and I didn't get to sleep until 2:30am! I slept so well, though. Today I got up at 9am to eat breakfast and get ready because I had to go downstairs to the housing computer lab to buy my parking permit and print out the temporary one. I did that and walked (so far) to my car. I drove to the Wal-mart in Brea and bought a small ironing board and shoe hanger. I came back for the H.O.W lunch and was able to park in the structure closer to the apts. This morning I found out that my private loan came through and I was so relieved! I just have to find out whether it will be deposited directly into my bank account or if I have to cash a check.

I went to the job/resource fair and had a free snow cone and cotton candy. I love college!
Now I'm relaxing in the air-conditioned computer lab...with my stomach grumbling. I think dinner is at 4 or 5pm. Hmmm....

Neener neener neeeeeeener ... I'll be in Disneyland in less than 3 days!!! Couldn't help myself either!!

I'll be there in than 48 hours!

Neener neener neeeeeeener ... I'll be in Disneyland in less than 20 hours!!! Couldn't help myself either!! I had to do it!!! :woohoo:
You beat me :rotfl:Hopefully I'll see you there!

Once again, I'm sorry for your loss

How exciting for you Miss Cristabel!:cutie:
I hope you get settled and everything falls into place real soon. I remember Breezy's first day like yesterday and she's in her fifth year already - time flies:sad2:.

Cristabel-

Glad to hear you moved in!!! If you need help finding a church let me know. Also, you might want to check out Hope International University (its across the street from your campus). It used to be Pacific Christian College. I don't know anyone over there now, but my pastor used to go there and him and his wife both were RAs there. I am sure if you check them out someone will be able to help you find a church. Or they may even have services on campus now. Who knows. Its a small campus so I am sure you will be able to talk to someone over there. Good luck. And if you need help, let me know.

We headed to our bedrooms and I didn't get to sleep until 2:30am!

Having an apartment at college sounds wonderful. (I had to make do with a tiny room furnished only with two beds and a wall unit desk and closet thing)

Hope you have a fantastic freshman year.

Ann

A quick post.

I am so upset.

Dave went to go buy 2 more Deluxe passes from Costco, and they yanked them off the shelves. Wahhhhhhhhhh!:sad1::sad1::sad1:

Does anyone know if you still have them by you? I was going to get one for Kaitlyn, and also one for Tina's DH, Marty!!

Anyways, so much for keeping them up until the 23rd!! :sad2::headache:

Well I'm going to go back now and catch up on today.

Thanks for listening to my whine.:snooty:

Cristabel: I'm so glad things went well yesterday! You know, if you wanted to try a 'big' church you're not too far from the Crystal Cathedral too. It would a little bit of a drive. My neighbors go there and they love it. Lots of activities and groups.

Thanks, Linda. It's pretty crazy but fun at the same time.

Thank you for the info, Stacie. I found some not too far away and I'll be bopping around seeing which one feels right.

Ann

it's not a "real" apartment but I'd rather say that than "dorm" because I do have a kitchen, living room, and a bathroom (which I share with one other girl). Whenever I hear dorm I think of just a bedroom.

That's the tough part, finding a church that's not elementary yet isn't humongous. It's hard feeling connected when you have to see the Pastor's face on a tv :lmao:

And now for an episode of Tina's "Wow, maybe I do go to Disneyland too much!"

I got an email from the mayor of Frontierland today. Well, the CM who plays the mayor, as well as the mayor of Main St, who would announced the winner of the Dram Suite. And he played Jedediah Jones with the Miner 49ers in DCA.

He wanted to let me know that he was no longer working at Disneyland, but he just booked a commercial for Disney, filming in Disneyland tomorrow.

We met him in the park, and then the first time we went to see my boyfriend's Elvis show, he was there, so we had a few drinks together.

Wierd, I know.......................
:confused3:confused3:confused3

I didn't really cry, but did get teary eyed. I think it was easier because he's the 2nd one to go, and he's much closer than DD. Anyways, we'll see how I feel in a couple of weeks!
AW Stacie! I feel your pain.

Mel: What a nightmare... I don't blame you for being scared to travel abroad again. But, I hope that if the opportunity presents itself that you won't let life pass you by--it's too short to be paralyzed by fear.
Jane I know you are right. It's just that right now I just have no desire to go back. Maybe some day.

Tonight is my friends bridal shower so I hope that I am feeling better tonight.

I see my ortho doc again today. My knee was so much better before I had surgery.

I hope everyone is doing great.
Hey Deb! It's good to hear from you. I hope you feel better soon, and the Doc has some answers about your knee.

Then I came across your delightful thread and found an answer to a prayer.
