How's everyone's Saturday going so far?

Ruben just took the older kids to drop them off at the theater. They are seeing Valentine's Day. Noelle's watching it with two of her friends, and Adam with his new girlfriend!! It's someone he's been friends with for awhile but he recently told Ruben they are now officially dating. Awwww. I was a little bummed he didn't tell me, but I guess that's a father/son thing.

Adam's been saving his money for a new video game, but he spent it on this girl for Valentine's Day. I thought that was very cute. And he's learning what it's like to be a guy dating!! I told him it's his job to pick up the tab and open her door.

Katie - Well crud girl, that sucks about your car! I hope you're okay and no one got hurt! Hey hey now, none of this talk. You especially need to get away and have some fun with us, so you just better catch a ride with one of the other Divas and call it good! I'm sure it's no problem for one of them coming through your area to swing on by so you can ride share.

Donna~It sounds like you had a fun day. I told Marty what you were doing, and he had me look for the same kind of thing for him to do, but it was not an option in our area.

Cheryl~Please take care of yourself, lady! When we spend so much time and effort taking care of others we tend to forget about ourselves.

Beth~Your boy is growing up! If he's anything like his dad, I bet he'll be a great date!

It was a beautiful day here today, and Santa Cruz was gorgeous! We both had Grilled Salmon Spinach Salads for lunch, and they were so yummy! We also had fried zucchini sticks with ranch, which was not part of my healthy eating plan, put I skipped the ice cream later on the boardwalk. So yay me!

Cheryl girl you are just taking on so much! Take care of yourself and don't overdo!! Glad your mom is enjoying her new place so far! That must take a little bit of the anxiety off!

Beth sounds like a good day for you so far and cute story about Adam!! I am SO not ready for the girls to get to that stage. We already dealt with that with Lynn of course but she never did ANYTHING like normal people. She never had guys coming over to pick her up for dates and it was just weird. She always had "boyfriends" at school or on the net and we hardly ever met any of them.

I am hoping when the girls get around to dating that they are a bit more traditional and that the boy actually comes over and we get to meet them etc. I KNOW before Shane ever lets them go out on a date he will insist on it LOL.

Anyway we got up and vegged around the house a bit and then Shane took the girls to the baketball game because I was asleep on the couch and he just let me sleep. Then when they got back we left and ran our loop. We grabbed some lunch and then stopped at Joanns and the iron-ons for the back were not exactly what I was hoping for and they are the transfers where you have to peel the paper off so I was pretty nervous about that. So I just got the diva iron on and it looks REALLY cute. For someone like me who is so NOT crafty I was really happy with how it turned out.

We also found out about some craft classes they have for kids and they were having an open house and the girls really wanted to stay but we had a bunch of stuff to do but I promised them I would take them to the one in march. They offer a bunch of free demo's and little craft tables for kids and adults so we shall see.

Anyway then we went to get our hair cut but there was a 45 minute wait so we ran to target to just look around and found the rock band game for DS that shelby wants for her birthday and it was on clearance so I told shane he better get it cuz that is one of the things she REALLY wants. SOOO I distracted them in the toy section while he got it.

Then we got our hair cut and came home.

I just finished my shirt and the name tags which I think turned out really well. I hope my team likes them and I am pretty happy with them as well because again NOT crafty LOL.

Now we are just home enjoying the nice weather for a change and going to play the wii and watch some movies and kick back.

I had previously purchased jammies for Bree & I at Old Navy and decided today I didn't like them (very thin and flimsy material - not good for an old flabby body like mine) so I returned them. Then I found some really cute ones at JC Penney! Needless to say, we will be twinsies - only I am an XL and she is a Small. My baby girl really loves me to endure such nonsense!

Tina, the weather was great here too. Sunny and 65, and lots of people were out in their shorts. You would have thought is was 80. Which by the way, was the temp in So Cal today. NICE!!!! Remember.....I love warm weather, as opposed to some of the rest of you.

She seems nice. Her family has got moola though and she is very "preppy" according to Noelle. So we'll see. I mean it's his first girlfriend so I'm not too worried.

Don't they grow up so fast?? On the one hand, it's cute. On the other, well, it makes me a bit sad, and a bit nervous. Where has the time gone? But it is the natural progression of things so I just have to deal with it and guide him the best way I can.

I don't know what our weather was here today, but at 6:00 tonight it was still 63 degrees which means it got pretty warm today. I could tell it getting hot when I made a run out to the store. I was not happy. I'm not ready to let go of winter.

Hi girls! It has been a pretty lazy day. I slept in, then I worked from 1-8.
Now I am watching the Olympics.

I tried to make a tye dyed shirt and well it didn't turn out, so no tye dye shirt for me.

I am still working on a pilloe case but I still have no idea how to or what to do to it.

Good morning and happy Sunday/Valentines!!

I got a nice surprise this morning. Last night we just played the Wii for quite a while and we had a really late lunch so no one was hungry for dinner till almost 8 and then after we did THAT I finally told the girls I wanted to watch tv so Shane and I watched a movie and the girls watched their shows. Then as usual we all kind of fell asleep downstairs and when I woke up this morning I finally figured out what Shane got me at Harry and David. There was a card and a box of truffles sitting on my desk. When I opened the card it told me to go up to our room for another thing. Shane loves to do stuff like this and since today is not only Valentine's but also our anniversary he usually goes all out. Anyway I went upstairs and there was this cute little stuffed Teddy Bear with another card. It told me to look in the closet and he had bought me a pair of Uggs! I have been wanting some for awhile but just could never bear to pay the price! I had some old fake ones that I got at Penneys about 5 or more years ago so not only were they NOT Uggs but all the fur is completely mashed down and almost gone so they were not comfy OR warm anymore. The only thing was I had tan and I wanted dark brown or black this time and he got me tan again but I'm not complaining. He didn't know and they are so cozy and warm and I LOVE them that I don't care. Now I am debating about wearing them on the trip. I was going to wear my crocs but these are so cozy I would LOVE to wear them. I know some people have worn their's before, do your feet get too hot if it warms up? Let me know cuz I would seriously LOVE to wear them!

He got me the spray water repellent stuff which is a good thing so I need to do that to protect them! Course that means I can't wear them for a whole day. BOOO! I will have to do it on a day when I work or something LOL.

Anyway we are going to church this morning and then dropping the girls off at my parents around 3. Our dinner ressie is at 4:45 and then we are going to see Valentine's day. So I think it should be a good day!

Thanks Beth! Yeah Shane loves to go crazy! He always does these little tricky things too. One year he gave me a card and told me to follow the roses to a surprise. He had laid out a rose every so often all the way downstairs and then there was ANOTHER dozen roses sitting on top of the piano and a note telling me to push play on the CD player and he had bought me the Enrique Iglesis CD and had that song Hero cued up to play to me. Then one year he bought me one of those photo frames and put a bunch of pics of the girls and us on it and had it all set up on my desk when I woke up and said to push play. It not only shows the pics but plays songs. It was pretty neat. He is VERY creative. WAY more than me. I can never think of what to get and usually get him practical stuff like clothes or tools LOL. He ALWAYS does something totally different though so I never quite know what to expect so it is fun just to find out what the surprise is.

But I LOVE my uggs and can't wait to wear them!!

I'm with you I couldn't sleep either. I think cuz we ate so late and then it just sat in my stomach like a rock! We usually eat around 5 or 6 at the latest so it was weird to eat so late. I woke up at like 4 and my stomach was killing me and I had to dig around to find my rolaids and then it was too early to get up so I just laid there and waited for everyone else to get up LOL.

I got the girls little bags with a bunch of stuff off the dollar aisle at target and they were REALLY excited. They have tons of cute stuff in that area and I have gotten lots of good stuff for different occasions. But they were excited and now they can't wait to go to grandma's and see what she has for them LOL.

I hope you have a fun day as well and I am sure your sweetie and kids will have a special surprise for you. You are very lucky. You have a wonderful family!! Enjoy your day with them!!

Yes, the Rodeo Drive reference was funny! It was actually in the "bloopers" at the end of the movie.

Good morning everyone.

Thank you all for your concern. I didn't want to bother anyone to pick me up because I have to also drop the baby off at my sisters & she doesn't live on the way to Disneyland. Plus I'll have a car LOAD of stuff to bring.

I am working on it though and it looks like I may still be able to come as planned. My sister really knows how much I need a break so she offered to pick me up on Saturday night. She also told me she'd drop me off, but I don't know if all the stuff will fit in her car along with the 2 kids in carseats.

So I'm going to try and find a rental car place that is close to Disneyland so I can just drop off the rental car near Disney. That way I'll still have a car during the night of the Meet & Greet so I can run and get ice or anything else needed.

I'm just glad my sister is so willing to help me out with this trip .
