Thanks everyone. We will survive it is just SO frustrating. It is that same old story, 1 step forward 2 steps back but I am used to it!

Anyway gotta run. Talk soon

Good morning!
HAPPY-FRIDAY-PHOTOSHOPcs4.gif
I'm looking forward to a nice 3-day weekend. My bf and I just plan to relax and maybe go to the beach and Camarillo Outlet or something. No plans to celebrate Valentine's Day. We just decided to get each other a card. :)

Any fun plans for the weekend? :smooth:

Good morning everyone and happy Friday. I have to eat breakfast and help around the house, nothing new.

Okay, see y'all later! 13 days!

Good morning everyone! :wave2:

Cheryl , big ol' monkey hugs to you and your mom. If there's anything I can do, even if it's just to be a drinking buddy, let me know. :thumbsup2

Amy , I saw that you picked up on my monkey reference, I was hoping you would.

Rochelle, it's great to see you posting on the thread again!

Chris, I love the e-mail you shared with us. :rotfl:

Beth, did you save a muffin for me? Sounds like you had fun with the twins.

Heather, I hope you had fun seeing your little princess at the u/s!

Kelly, big hugs! Try to not let all the negative stuff get you down. :goodvibes

Callie, sorry about your father having to go through that. I remember my mom and my dad having to do that, and it was scary!

Big hugs to everyone! I'm just here at work, by myself. It's very quiet and kinda creepy. I'll probably turn some music on in a little while. Went to a very awkward b-day dinner last night for my best friend, I'm so glad I survived it with minimal embarrassment.

Have a super, duper, divalicious day!

Cheryl ~ prayers for your mom and obviously for you, too! Seems like it comes in droves sometimes. My dad is in a really nice place, too bad he doesn't appreciate it though. We did look at one that also had the cocktail hour before, nixed that one right away, he's an alcoholic and doesn't need that temptation.

I'd like to see Valentine's Day. If anyone sees that, let me know what you think.

I just read a write-up about that movie, says it's pretty much an awful movie. Let us know what you think, if you go see it.

Prayers for Callie's dad as well, and anyone else who needs them. I got my hoodie today, going to try the tie dye again next week.

DH has poker here tonight so some of the wives are going out to dinner, YUM!! See ya all later!

The u/s went well, and she really showed off! There is absolutely NO DOUBT that she is a she!!! :cool1: I'm sooo happy to be getting my princess. She has grown so much in the last two weeks. What a precious little girl she already is. She was curled up in a ball, and did a couple of flips for us.

Nolan has to do 10 more days of antibiotic, and Nathan has another fever. We are just going to watch him. My poor babies. :guilty: As much as I hate being sick, I'd rather it be me than them.

I'm off to nap for a little bit. I just got back from Babies R Us. They are having a trade in event, and so I traded in our old Pack n Play and got a new one that I think I'm going to love. It has a cosleeper on top, so that she will be sleeping right beside me. I won't even have to get out of bed at night to feed her! :cloud9: Once she grows out of that, and Nathan has adjusted to her being around, he's going to get his 'big boy' bed, and she'll take over the nursery. Nathan is still in there, and Nolan sleeps in the playroom. I'm going to turn the playroom into the boys' room, and then the nursery will be all Natalie's! It will be fun to decorate a little girls room. :lovestruc

I hope everyone else is having a good day. No rain this weekend for us, and 75 degrees on Sunday! :woohoo: I was hoping to go to the park, but I need to get the boys feeling better first.

Heather - that's awesome about the u/s and hopefully the boys get better soon. I would rather be sick than my baby too:flower3: Decorating a girl's room will be too much fun (I never got to do that - boo :sad1:)

Afternoon gals!

Heather I am SOOO happy for you know that you know 100% that you are getting your little girl! Girls are so fun! You will love it! :)

Thanks for the hugs and support Wendy! I appreciate it.

Becci you will have to let me know what you think of the movie. We are supposed to see it for our anniversary on Sunday and I still don't know what's going to happen. Shane finally got his check but I still am hesitant to spend too much money but he is bound and determined that we are still going out which he KNOWS stresses me out spending money when things are tight but whatever. So at this point I don't know if we will still see it or not but that is the plan. I try not to go by reviews though because I have found that I don't always agree with critics. Some of my favorite movies of all time they thought stunk. SOOOO I just make my own judgments. Not to mention some of the movies that critics think are SOO great I think are weird so there! ;)

Mom and I went to Joann's at lunch and FINALLY got all the stuff for our nametags. Let's just say I am no longer using the pics of the ship but I have even BETTER stuff now. I got some GREAT inspiration while there and I think Courtney your mom will be happy! My dad needs to do a little work on part of it but then I am taking over and I am excited and hope they turn out as good as I have envisioned. Remember I am ANTI crafty so hopefully I don't ruin them but my idea is a good one!! :)

Then while we were there we found some really cute pirate princess iron ons so mom is going to make herself a pirate RED T-shirt since she didn't have a red shirt and then I am going to iron on this cute patch on my black hoodie. It won't be the one we picked but it will be cute hopefully. The printing was my problem but I can iron! :) I have ironed my share of Girl Scout try-its so I am a pro at that and I feel a lot more confident with a patch then the transfer so hopefully it turns out cute!

Anyway I am off to pick up Katy here in a few and then Shelby has talent show practice till 4:30 and then we have Girl Scouts tonight.

Then we can FINALLY be on vacation! WHEW! Tomorrow Shelby has a basketball game and then still not sure what Shane and I are going to end up doing on Sunday. I found a charge on our acct to Harry and David of all places so I have NO idea what in the world he got me there??? Shall be interesting that's for sure.

Then Monday he has off so we may take the girls to a movie and then hopefully ONE day next week mom and I or just myself and the girls will go to the zoo. I had wanted to go to the SF zoo but now with money being tight I don't think that is going to happen. They also need to get their ears re-pierced as both of theirs closed up and I was going to take them to do that this week but now I may hold off, not sure. One thing I DO know though is I am getting my hair cut Monday. I have been putting it off so it would be nice and freshly cut for the trip and it looks like a MOP right now and is driving me NUTS!

I can't WAIT to get it cut!!!!

Anywho we have everything now and hopefully I can get the tags MADE in the next few days and then I think I am DONE! YAY!!!! Then I just have to wait for the day to get here. YIPPEEE!!!

A cocktail hour before dinner?!!!! Where do I sign up? :goodvibes
:rotfl: No kidding. Some of the activities and such sound like something I'd want to do.

Any fun plans for the weekend? :smooth:
No plans. But maybe something will pop up. We'll see. Have fun at the beach. I miss that about living in CA.

Sounds like a story there....... popcorn::

I just read a write-up about that movie, says it's pretty much an awful movie.
Really? Well shoot. That stinks.
Have fun at your dinner.

I was looking forward to a good movie! There are so many good people in it also! :confused3
I think for that reason alone it would be worth seeing. Maybe not though. :confused3

I know what you mean. I hope they are better soon!

I never did much for the kid's rooms. Too much $$$. :sad2:

Woo Hoo! So happy for you that it is deffinitely a SHE! How fabulous! :cloud9: I hope you enjoy decorating the room, I have really enjoyed doing my kids' rooms!

I am finally off work...I have 2 whole days off in a row! Going to a basketball game tonight (high school) and tomorrow I am playing mahjongg and hopefully working out before signing Ryder up for soccer and going to our favorite restaurant for dinner, just my dh and I! Sunday I have to make 2 cakes, attend a 3 year olds birthday party and then Glenn is making a Disney recipe for dinner ... it is called California Chicken and it is from the Caflifornia Grill in WDW! Yum!

Hope you all have a great day!

I haven't been down to the beach area in a long time. If it's too cold then we may not go. The weather here has been crazy and fickle lately.

I'm really busy and in need of regular sleep but tomorrow is my Disney volunteer day. I will read to 1st graders (Knuffle-Buffy, book 2) and if I can keep my eyes open, I'm really looking forward to it!

My sad family is just cancer plagued right now.

Some good news in my family is that my sister (whom I never mention here) is IN LOVE.:love: After almost 20 years in a loveless marriage, in which she was divorced and remarried to the same man twice, she has finally allowed herself to move on, and has found someone who truly cares about her and treats her well. The only issue is that it is a long-distance relationship as he is in CO and she is in IL. He is going to visit her in IL this weekend for Valentines Day. I'm sooooo happy for her.

I'm sorry to hear about your dad but really happy to hear about your sister finally finding love! :lovestruc

Hi ladies--it's been a very hard day.

This morning I tried to call my Mom and no answer--I thought she was in the shower. Then around noon-time I tried again and no answer. So I drove out there. She was in bed and was in agony because apparently she fell last night, was able to get up and thought nothing of it and then woke up early this morning in pain. She couldn't move. Needless to say the paramedics were called again. Not good when you call the paramedics twice in less than a week. . . .. .

So off to the hospital again and before they took her I said to her "you know they're probably not going to let you come back here." Sure enough, I had barely walked through the door into her ER room and the nurses were on me. They gave her pain meds so she was out of it most of the time, so the decision-making was left up to me. This is a decision I was hoping never to make--it sounds terrible to say but I have really hoped that she would just go peacefully in her sleep before we reached this point. Sigh. Does that sound terrible?

Anyway, both the care coordinator at the hospital and a third-party coordinator were in to talk to me. There are basically two options--assisted living and a board and care facility. Both are expensive (though once I am able to off-load her mobile home and the monthly payment it won't be horrible--until then :scared1:)

Of course, I just didn't want to stick her someplace--I want to look around--so we were able to find an assisted living facility that will do what is called "respite care"--day to day until we decide what to do. We had to go by her house and pick up some clothes, medicine, toiletries etc. and her walker. Of course, my leg is still killing me but I muddled though. They were very nice at the facility--she is settled in for the night and probably asleep. I gave her more pain meds before I left.

Life sucks sometimes Divas--I know some of you have had hard times recently and I'm sorry to add to the collective burden--anyway, if I'm not around much in the next couple of days you will know why.

And thanks to AmySue and Linda who both were extremely supportive today!

Oh, Cheryl, I am so sorry to hear this. Your mom is such a spunky, smart lady that it makes this just harder to deal with. I do want to tell you that my husband's dad had major problems (many brought on by himself - Stacielee, he's also an alcoholic, a drinking one) after a stroke and his second wife dying and finally had to go into assisted living. It is across the country but we visited this year and found friendly staff and residents, tablecloths in the pastel-colored dining room, a lovely garden. They have trips to the zoo and someplace where they can have a drink, and even a mini gym. He still needs a scooter but he went from "better come and say your final goodbyes" two years ago to quite peppy today. I think the day by day solution is a great one, so you can evaluate as she gets better. But I know what this is like and how hard it is on you, especially now.
It really helps to get a facility that will not turn out a resident if their funds run out - many do have that policy. Email me if you have any questions.

But, the amazing thing is I awakened this AM with a start of a migraine--tried one of my samples and POOF all better. I mean...ALL better. I can't believe it at all!! I have tried other stuff and it always made my throw up--so never helped. I couldn't believe it. I swear I felt better today than I have in a long time. So pleased as punch!!!!:hippie:

That is great news!
:yay:

Heather, we always knew it was a girl. ;) Sarah, sounds yummy.
Theresa, you can come and decorate my room. :rotfl2:

Your Lucky Underwear is Purple
Dreamy and idealistic, you envision great things for your life. Your lucky purple underwear can make those dreams come true!
You're a busy little butterfly. You have the most projects, interests, and friends of anyone you know.

You also have a flair for the dramatic. Sometimes too much drama comes in to your life and brings things to a stop.
If you want to focus more, and flutter less, put on your purple underpants. They'll help you get the important things done.

(I do have one pair of purple undies!)

Cheryl, Hugs again to you.

Heather, So happy to hear the news! You will have a precious princess to dress, and she will have a Daddy to wrap around her little fingers. :cloud9:

Wendy, Um??? Like Beth said......that Birthday party sounds like something you need to share with us.

Callie, Your poor dad. My Dad and Sister have done the same thing. After I saw what my Sis went through, I vowed to never worship the sun. I always slather sunguard on my face everyday.

Hey Pixter! So happy to see you around here!

Shirley, that picture was great. LOL!

Donna, Are you getting your Disney volunteer stuff by reading to children?

I took the underware test and I'm blue. Don't know how to paste it here.

Ok....off to finish up some scavvy stuff. pirate:

Hey, is anybody else having weird problems posting PMs? Almost everytime I try to change something or use the shift key, I get taken to the travel page of the DIS. It's strange? Did I hit something on my computer to cause this to happen?:confused3:confused:

As usual I feel way behind, but I am sending the biggest of hugs to Cheryl, Doris, Callie and her dad, and everyone else who needs them.

Congrats again to Heather on confirming that Natalie is indeed princess: Natalie.

Also, count me in the red undies club with Heather and SarahMay (sorry if I missed anyone). Red is definitely what I think of as a power color, so it fits me perfectly!

Anyhow, I got my hoodie done last night and I started my pillowcase, but it needs major help at this point. Hopefully whomever gets it will be thrilled by the other gifts and will forgive my lack of artsy-craftiness

Tonight we are watching the Olympics. We were going to go see Valentine's Day but due to trying to be fiscally responsible and now the less than stellar reviews I will just wait until it's out to rent. Tomorrow is the normal sprint from Gymboree to swim lessons to naptime and then errands, so the day will fly by, but I have got to find a VDay present for Dave at some point. I am just not really feeling the holiday this year, but I know that he got me not one but two gifts, so I've got to figure something out

Hope that everyone is having a great night!

And stop tempting me with the pillowcase talk AmyOkraSue!!! Your bleeped out words are making me want to join. lol !!

Okay, to further the spark of interest that I am sensing from you, Beth. My pillowcase was handmade with a pirate/princess theme. It is not perfect, but totally usable, cotton fabric, totally washable. The B********* is a W****t B** in a nice sage green. I also included T******* ***d* as I know many are serious fans. There is a disney V********* style k*****i*.
Oh, and don't forget the collection of travel necessities.

Truly Beth, I think you would be quite pleased with your selection should you get my pillowcase should you participate. Really!!!

So..I had a long week. I worked Thursday and Friday which I never do. And I work tomorrow. Not all that thrilled about it all. I am trying to look at it as a glass half full since I am going to have a bigger paycheck. But right now I am feeling half empty. Maybe I will go to bed early!!

See y'all soon!!
