Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

Speaking of, those of us left on Monday (I think there are only about a dozen of us) will probably experience "dead" parks and can walk onto most anything we want. I am really looking forward to the small(er) group and uncrowded parks. Let's all hang together, ok?

Definately. I think throughout Sun the group will start to dwindle... Speaking of SH55 breakfast, I will need to move my car but the park doesn't open until 10. Does anyone know when the parking structure opens? Would it be best to try to park @ the DLH and then move my car after?

Tonight we went to a see a Beatles Tribute Band and they were very good. Mr. CA gave me the tickets for Christmas - he knows me so well! I am looking forward to seeing the 'Beatles' at EPCOT next weekend!

Have you guys had a chance to see Love in vegas? If not, you should think about it - it's really good!!

Guess who's packing her Disneyland backpack...yup, me! Since I don't plan on going anytime between now and our trip, I've started to pack the stuff I'll be taking on the trip like my AP, lanyard, and pins. Yesterday I bought Disney dollars so I will have "cash" on hand for my meals. I'll pack my pillowcase and its contents once I've actually made it!

Anyone else?

I've been piling things in our guest bedroom for the past couple weeks. My parents are coming the week before so will need to at least put things in their bags before then. My packing list gets more and more elaborate and detailed!

Hope everyone's been having a good weekend! Off to do chores & errands. :laundy:

I did my tie dye t-shirt last night/this morning. Here's the results:

Last night, I wasn't sure, it looked pretty messy and like the black was going to cover up all of the red. So I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I unwrapped it and washed & dried it.

Totally cute!!! I'm lovin' it!

I've been thinking about it but am sure my dh would freek if he saw me packing already..

SarahMay

Yeah, same here, especially the cats! :scared1:

Hojo's will let you leave your car there the day you check out. Or is there another reason you have to move your car?

Hey divas!

I'm going to have to make a super mega multi quote since I've missed a lot in like 2 days.

Yesterday I was so busy but I had such a wonderful day! My Mom and I went to Kerry's house and met with Vicki and Donna and we had a BLAST! Those ladies are just dolls and we had a wonderful time decorating our shirts. It made my Mom and I just even more excited to go on the trip and meet everyone else.

After we left to Kerry's house we went to an Indian restaurant by her house. (I ate so much at Kerry's and I ate again at that restaurant!) And the curry in the food turned my braces rubber bands from a light pink to an orange color. :scared1: It won't go away and it's grossing me out. Then we went shopping, ran into my Uncle's girlfriend, went to her house. Went home, then went to Michaels because my Mom wanted that fancy blinging thing Kerry had at her house, and then to Kohls. Home again and then I went to Mimi's Cafe with DBF (and ate AGAIN!!). And home again. Whew!

Today I'm looking through the Sunday ads and coupons and doing laundry.

Oh and we got some English Breakfast tea in the k-cups in case anyone else is a tea drinker (my Mom stopped drinking coffee). And they had those flavored creamers at Big Lots for $2.50 so we got 2 boxes, one in Vanilla and the other Hazelnut.

Oh, Donna, Target has Vitamin Water for 10 for $10 in case you want to stock up and take them on the trip! Cheaper than in the parks!

Ok, so another exciting night here. I ended up having to call the paramedics and take my Mom to the hospital--turns out she had a fever of 103, which explained why she was talking nonsense and stuff! But they are not sure what caused the fever because her blood and other tests came back normal. At one point they thought she might have gout because her foot was swollen and suddenly painful. This morning her fever is normal and according to the nurse she is alert. I got in at 2:30 and didn't get to bed until 3 so am going to take a shower now and go pick up some things she needs at the house and go to the hospital.

Yikes, I hope your Mom feels better soon. How scary.

Courtney, her mom, Donna & Vicki just left. We all got our shirts / hoodies done and blinged out. They look super cute (even if I do say so myself).

It was really fun having everyone over. I think we all got more excited for the trip while chatting, making our shirts and eating lunch.

Also to all the wine drinkers, my DH goes on woot.com to check their daily offers. Well there is a link off the right for winewoot.com. We sent this to my mom & she now checks it daily for her favorites.

My Mom added even MORE bling to her shirt when we got home. I'll post a picture later.

:woohoo:

Oh I check woot.com everyday too. I'm still hoping to get a random box of you know what during their woot-offs.

Glad you had such a great time doing your shirts! What a blast that would be! Isn't Vicki the sweetest! I really enjoyed meeting her in Vancouver and then seeing her again in DL in September. I can't wait to see the results of your shirt blinging party...did you take pics?

SarahMay

Vicki is soo sweet! And funny!

A big THANK YOU to Kerry, for being such a fabulous hostess. She had all the crafts already spread out for us, and a wonderful buffet. It couldn't have been better prepared if Martha herself had planned this. Our shirts/hoodies do look wonderful, and we are now energized for the trip. It was a really fun day, thanks to you and your DH! :goodvibes

And what am I, chopped livah? :lmao::rotfl:
Actually we did not take pics. You'll have to wait for the trip to be shocked and amazed!!!
It was great to meet Courtney and her mom, Felicia, two divas new to the trip this year! We had such a good time, laughing and chatting.
:dance3:

I know, Kerry is Martha Junior or something. It was great! And I ate a lot!

It was great to finally meet you too, Donna!

Kerry - Wow, sounds like all of you had a great time! Wish I could have been there.....I haven't even started on my shirt yet. And, I don't have a color printer to boot. I think I'll have to sneak over to my parents house and use their color printer. :thumbsup2

Homework hell for me today - UGH! I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo burned out with school/homework right now. I just don't wanna do anymore! Waaaaaaaaaa! Sick of it! Sick of it! Sick of it! :crazy2::sad:

The only news I have on my dad is that the aortic aneurysm is closer to his abdominal area. They would like to do a scan, but they have to do some tests first to see if his kidneys can handle the dye/contrast required to get a good scan.....but I already know the tests will probably show his kidneys won't be able to handle it because he had the same test done when he was in the hospital a month ago and it was a NO GO due to poor kidney function.

Lukey got a black eye after running into a chair in our house. He looks like Rocky. Justin and I have been humming the Rocky theme to him. He just growls at us.....and smiles. :goodvibes

We had such a great time. I think we're going to make hoodies now too. I need to mess around with the printer so it doesn't print those lines and stuff..

Just through your homework out the window!

I hope your Dad's kidney's are okay this time around so they can do that test.

Awww, poor puppy!!

I'm home, and I'm pooped! The shower turned out well. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the parents-to-be were very happy.

:yay: You go, girl!!

Well another weekend of snow. The grandkids only went to school one day last week and they were two hours late that day. It started Friday and ended late Saturday. So since December we have had three major snow storms, we who are lucky to see a couple of inches a year have seen over a foot of snow two storms and over six inches this one (that added to last week's storm). Don't hate me but I hope that it is warm during our trip, lol.

Wow!! That looks like a post card! How awesome

First thank you so much Kerry for today's t-shirt blinging day! I loved meeting you and your generous hospitality! The food was great, the company was terrific and we have our Diva shirts done!

Courtney I am so glad that I have finally met you - you are just as darling as I imagined. Your mom was so much fun too and I am glad she is joining us for the trip.

Donna - As always I was so glad to see you!

Tonight we went to a see a Beatles Tribute Band and they were very good. Mr. CA gave me the tickets for Christmas - he knows me so well! I am looking forward to seeing the 'Beatles' at EPCOT next weekend!

Sorry I know I've miss a lot and I've miss a lot of what everyone has been posting. Hugs, smiles, happy thoughts to you all.

Vicki! I'm so glad I got to meet you too.

I hope you had a great time last night!!!!

Kerry that was SO nice that you guys got together and did the shirts. Sounds like you had lots of fun!! I can't WAIT to meet Felicia and Courtney! I know they are going to be lots of fun!! :)

I get my fun-ness from my Momma! ;)

Stacie, that is HOTT! You did an awesome job!! :thumbsup2

Stacie - your shirt turned out really cute!!

Question about the lanyards - for printing them out, are we supposed to use normal paper or a thicker paper? The previous ones are on a card stock, right?

Also, for the Divas going to Napa Rose on Sunday - this is the tie-dye shirt day. Dinner is at 5:30 - are you wearing your tie-dye to NR or are you going to try and change before then????

I'm going to Michael's today to pick up transfer paper (hopefully I don't have to buy a whole pack of it!) and some crystals - gotta bring the bling :rotfl2: This is the one time I try and channel my inner crafty self. No laughing at my efforts, promise???

I'm feeling so lazy today, but I have to get my butt out the door and get Jesse signed up for his ball hockey and a few more errands......

Have a great Sunday!!

Thanks for all the compliments on the shirt. I wish it had less white, but oh well, at least the Mickey came out fab!!

I was thinking card stock would hold up better. If anyone doesn't have any, I have lots and can print your tags if you would like.

Awww, poor puppy!!

I'm sorry, but this made me laugh so hard, my Diet Pepsi almost shot out my nose! :rotfl2: :lmao:

Lukey (his name is Luke, but we call him Lukey), the one who growled and smiled at us everytime we hummed the Rocky theme after he got a black eye from running into a chair, is our six year old son. :thumbsup2

Good afternoon!
I love my weekends but today I have to start doing homework. I want to keep up with my classes, it's too stressful to fall behind.

Is anyone NOT watching the super bowl? They are having the game in the tv room in a different dorm with food and such but I'm not even interested in the game. I'll probably stay up here, have lunch and get started on my math homework.

Well at least I didn't offend you!

I'm going to change. no way am I going to Napa in a tie dye shirt. cannot wait--I think I am going to have the Lobster Tempura and Spicy Beef salad. and maybe some soup or an appetizer--and dessert. I think the vintner's thing is just too much food for me. oh and Magicale of course!

Thanks for all the compliments on the shirt. I wish it had less white, but oh well, at least the Mickey came out fab!!

Would you print my tag? Pretty please?

Not me...I am working and as soon as I get home I am chaperoning a 4/5 year olds playdate!

I forgot to say, I looked for the Monkey Bride on HM on Friday but I believe Wendy is right, she's only there during the HMH overlay :sad2:

I'm not planning on watching it--although I may watch the start to see Carrie Underwood sing the National Anthem. (Like "Lukey"--love her! well, not in the same way . . . . . )

A friend wanted me to come over to watch the game with them but I'm just not up to it.

Oh yeah, we looked last weekend and could not find her. I also think only during HMH.

Hope everything is okay, Chery, you sound kinda down today

Hi ladies!

Cheryl, How is your Mom doing today? Did you get a good night's rest last night? Are you OK?
I'm changing for Napa too. I don't want to shock the staff with my shirt. I looked at the menu the other day, and now forgot what I was interested in. Something portabella mushroom I think! :thumbsup2 Yum!

Stacie, the t-shirt looks fabulous! If I needed a shirt, I'd try to make one too.

To Kerry, Courtney, Felecia, Donna and Vicki, Can't wait to see your shirts and hoodies! Kerry, what a nice thing you hosted!! Fun fun fun!:dance3:

Katie, I like dry red wines. Two Buck Chuck is fine with me. Either Merlot or the Cab. Or lots of times I buy Blackstone from the grocers. It usually runs about 8.00 to 9.00. Or Red Box Pillar from Cost Plus is really good and cost about 10.00 or so. Thankyou and once again, Two Buck is fine! And if you have any left overs, I'll buy it and bring it back to my room. :rolleyes1

Critabel, good news on your phone!!! :yay:

I hadn't even thought about changing for Napa Rose, but you're right we should. How 'fancy' is eveyone getting?

And Mel, I'm so glad we're neighbors at VGC...:goodvibes I'll be glad to pitch in and help you finish that wine!:thumbsup2 (I prefer pinot noir, merlot, syhrah (shiraz) anything but cheap cabs - and NO wine coolers :rotfl2:) Want me to bring cheese & crackers?

I'm not. My DH is going to a friends house. I am staying home and going to catch up on some work stuff. Neither of us really care this time around.
