Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

I feel bad that everyone is offering to share coffee/tea, helping with printing name tags, ironing on transfers and I have nothing to share. Anybody need anything from Canada?

Great job on the shirt Stacie!

I'm not nearly as talented as Stacie but I did order one through Cassi and I think she did a great job. Her little girl stuff was so cute that I got one for my daughter for a future trip too!

Does anybody see a face with many legs on the back? Or am I just losing my mind?
:rotfl2: Let's make a Rorschach test out of our tie-dyes!

Good morning and happy Sunday/superbowl!!

Hey does northern Cal/used to live in Seattle count LOL. I would LOVE to meet you guys if you have a meet. As I said I used to live in Arlington and then Marysville WA and then we moved to Vancouver but I LOVED it up there and mom and I still go up to visit all the time. I went back after I moved here in 98 and again in 04. Shane and I were planning on stopping through there on our road trip this summer but that got put off due to finances but I would LOVE to meet you guys. Mom and I have been wanting to go back for awhile!! Could we pretty please join you???
Of course you can join us! In fact, everyone should come up here for our meet. We should probably make it during August, that is the month we have summer. :lmao:

Hi everyone!!! I am getting so excited to go on this trip!!! I just can't wait!

I mentioned that you some of you are talking about doing a family trip to Seattle to hubby. He said that we should go to if the timing worked out. So, we might come all the way from Ohio to join in the fun!

I have got to start packing and making my list of stuff. I am thinking that I might actually try to do an iron on shirt.....I am so not a crafty person, but you guys are inspiring me!

We got over a foot of snow Friday/Saturday. For some reason school is on a delayed start this morning. We are supposed to get more snow late tonight and tomorrow thru Wednesday. It is going to be an interesting week. This is our second winter up here in Ohio. We moved up here a year and a half ago from Florida. I just want to be able to fly out for the trip!

Hope that everyone is starting off to a great week. Sorry, I don't usually post directly to each of you because I can't keep up with it most of the time.

Daisy

There must be no stoves in the rooms because otherwise Chris would be suggesting JIFFY POP.:rotfl:
Shelley!!! :yay: Good to see you stranger. :)

Now, on a light note! I say one of us Diva's needs to show up at the Pajama party in a Hoodie-Footie Snuggle Suit!

pajamagram_2091_98908954
I agree. I love that, and someone needs to wear it. But not Capri. She's already dressing up as our trashy mom with her cut offs, and white muscle tee. :rolleyes1

Doris is good, she came home from the hospital today and insisted on going home. Like a true Diva we stopped at In N Out and got her a burger because she was done with hospital food!
Glad to hear that. And yay for In-n-Out. Did she get her fries animal style? ;)

That thing is SO awesome!! :rotfl: It has footies! I need it.
Ding, ding, ding! We have a volunteer!! :thumbsup2

Seriously, I think the wackier we dress the better. And the funnier the pics will be. I'm totally brining my huge fuzzy slippers, and my giant curlers to wear. If I've got to wear pajamas, I might as well go all out and have fun with it!!

Seriously, gals, I would be happy to do it. I just know that last year I ended up missing a couple and it made for a stressful few hours for me (and the Divas who didn't have nametags) until I figured out a way to get the pdf to Lorealle for printing. I already have the new gals' tags to make, so I might as well run the whole lot.
You are so sweet to offer this. Who ever ends up doing it, whether it's you or Stacie, thank you!!! I love how this group has always pulled together to make these trips the very best they can be. ::yes::

Stay safe and warm. I only lived in a snowy state (Michigan) for 3 years, but man, that was enough for me. :sad2: I am a snow wimp. It's pretty to look at and play in, but no fun to drive in.

Good morning ladies!!!

I am so tired. I don't know why but lately I haven't been sleeping well at all. :sad2: So this morning came way to early for me.

Oh well. I hope you all have a good day!

Good morning and happy Monday!

Cheryl I am glad your mom is home from the hospital and that sounds like an AWESOME meal to come home to! Some of my FAV food I tell ya! Ice cream and in-out burgers. YUM!!! ;)

Stacie LOVE that shirt. Mom and I just bought some regular ol tye dye at the harvest festival so ours is boring but I LOVE yours great job!!!

Angie those shirts are cute also. I seriously thought about ordering some from her but then we found ours at the harvest fair so we just got them there. But those are REALLY cute!

To Callie or Stacie whoever is doing the nametags I thank you!! I don't have any card stock either and the same problem with printers. My one at home doesn't do color and mom's at work is black and white also so for color we use the copy machine and I think card stock might possibly get jammed up. Not sure. That was our dilemma with the transfers. No good printers!

Anyway we had a good time yesterday. We went to church and then the girls stayed for Awana. I'm still not sure if I am happy with them moving it to Sunday but we shall see. It is now an hour instead of 2 and I don't know if they are going to get to do as much fun stuff as they used to but that remains to be seen. The main thing is they are learning about the bible but it was also fun for them and it kept them excited about learning about God and the bible so it didn't get boring. So hopefully it stays that way!

Anyway then we went to mom's and the game was AWESOME! For those that watched that interception in the last quarter by New Orleans was AWESOME! I had gotten a nasty headache but I couldn't help screaming! I am not a huge sports fan but I do enjoy watching the superbowl and LOVED some of the ads, esp the doritos ones LOL. But it turned out to be a GREAT barn burner of a game and I am so happy for NO!

Anyway then we had a nice dinner with mom and dad and their friends and Katy made a cobbler and so we had that for dessert and then I had to go straight to bed. We didn't eat dinner till late and I don't know if it was that or cuz I was sitting funny on the couch but I had a backache that turned in to a nasty migraine. YUCKO!

I feel better today thank goodness! Am off to work today and Shelby has a field trip. This is the girl's last week before break and they have their valentine's stuff on Friday although not sure WHAT they are doing yet since I haven't gotten any info on cards yet from their teachers or any parties but they "usually" get one so hopefully they will again this year and then Fri NIGHT we have a GS party. Then Sat we have basketball once again and Sunday is our 11th anniversary. We are going to see Valentine's day and go out to dinner. So it should be a fun week hopefully! Then next week the girls have the week off so I am hoping to take them to the zoo one day and maybe a movie and just looking forward to spending some time with them.

Oh and Carol I agree about August! Sounds good as long as we don't do it during the first weekend. What did they call that again Sea week or something (Seafaire??)? When all the ships come in and they have that big festival. I know that's a madhouse. But I agree August is a great time weatherwise!

Anyway gotta run the girls to school.

Have a GREAT day everyone and TTYL!

Seafair is scheduled for August 6th through the 8th for the parade and hydroplane races and yes it is a madhouse.

Well we are on count down until Katelyn's party. Family starts to arrive on Thursday and by Friday we will look like Hotel Baller. I keep sayin yes to having girls spend the night on Friday to help with setup and now just counted heads and I think I am at 20 plus 5 family members. This party has became more then I expected. We have kept costs down and my husband is shock at how cheap I did it but how elaborate it is going to be (It helps bein married to a DJ, a friend offering to do all the food for Katelyn's gift, and the ability to be artsy crafty). Thank goodness Matt just wants to go to Vegas for his sixteenth in 3 years! Next Sunday its all about me and starting to pack and do the things I need to do for the trip!

Hi Daisy:wave2:

It would be great to have you come to Seattle with us! Have you been there before? The zoo is great, it would be fun to have a family day there.

I made my T-shirts this year and I am not at all crafty. Getting the sizing right is usually the hardest part for me but Callie's wonderful husband has it all worked out all ready, he even shows you where to cut it. For me, the ironing is very easy, just make sure you get over every section of transfer paper.

See you soon!

Patty, I can't wait to hear about the party and see some pictures. It sounds amazing! Great job on keeping the cost down, I was telling my DH about it the other day and I told him it sounded more elaborate and expensive than our wedding:rotfl:

Buenos dias, ladies!

jama's I thought of A Christmas Story and the bunny suit :rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :lmao: I didn't even think of that, but you are soooo right! You gonna get it? Maybe you and Courtney can get matching ones! :thumbsup2

:lmao:

I didn't think of that either. That's my favorite part of the movie!

That Tink one is sooooooo cute!

Ding, ding, ding! We have a volunteer!! :thumbsup2

Oh man! Where do I buy one of these at?

Think if you have to go potty really bad! Yikes! :scared1: You have to take the arms off and everything!

Good morning all!

I feel bad that everyone is offering to share coffee/tea, helping with printing name tags, ironing on transfers and I have nothing to share. Anybody need anything from Canada?

I would say different flavors of nanaimo bars, but I don't think they'd keep on the flight down. :(

Of course you can join us! In fact, everyone should come up here for our meet. We should probably make it during August, that is the month we have summer. :lmao:

FYI - I will likely be up in June for a work trip. Will keep people informed as would love to meet up with everyone (that are local or able) for dinner or something.

Seafair is scheduled for August 6th through the 8th for the parade and hydroplane races and yes it is a madhouse.

It's a madhouse, but fun. A few years back my MIL, FIL, DH & I went on the argosy (sp?) cruise for SeaFair. It went right out to the barge. Was really cool to watch the fly overs and races. Was an all day event, but it was a beautiful day. They had food & drink on the argosy ship. Wasn't as booze crazy as some of the other options too.

My Dh's grandma makes the best Nanaimo bars, she always has some in the freezer for me when I visit:cloud9: I wish I could bring some to share

I have not been out west much and never to Seattle area. It is our not written down list of places that we would love to go visit! I just can't justify another trip without family this year. It would really depend on being able to get some good deals on airline tickets.

Beth - I just saw that you changed the title to the thread. Thank you - cheered me up this monday morning :)

YAY Disneyland & Friends in less than 20 days!!!

Stacie~ I love the shirt! I read the directions, however, I am not sure I would be able to do it? I think I would end up tye dyed! :lmao:

Oh I would love a name tag! Please & thank you!

PS are you going to Vegas????

Heather~ When I saw the jama's I thought of A Christmas Story and the bunny suit :rotfl2:

Oh I am so darn excited, the trip is so soon!!

Still not sure about Vegas, I need to talk to my friend and find out if she's actually coming out here.

Hi Ladies. Hope you all enjoyed your Sunday whether it was watching football, or just spending time with your families or spending much-needed alone time.

At this rate, it looks like Stacie might just end up printing everyone's nametags. It wasn't my intent to pass off this job to someone else. I thought it would be easier for everyone to be printing their own at home so they could show up with their lanyard already done.

I'll be happy to print them out. I'll just double and triple check this time for accuracy, and make sure I have a back-up plan for emergencies. Unless, of course, Stacie really wants this task, in which case I will gladly hand it over. :)

This week starts a new HomeConnections second-semester schedule for me with lots of changes, so I may not check in much.

I PM'd you.

Does anybody see a face with many legs on the back? Or am I just losing my mind?

I don't see it...

Hi ladies: more "good" news from my front this morning.

My paralegal/best friend Brandy (some of you met her at Ms. Sally's party) fell down a hill this morning and might have broken her arm. She is getting it x-rayed now.
