Girls Only~ OLD THREAD, new one linked in first post

I was just reading another thread about how dl closed early again yesterday due to rain so I checked out the 10 day forcast and it looks like a warming trend is being predicted with a high of 70 instead of the current 60 by the 15th. Hopefully it will continue from there and no more of this torrential downpours and early closures!

I counted about 10 of us that live in the NW - I knew there were a few but didn't realize so many until I started counting heads. It will be fun to have a Seattle meet! I think the summer would be a good time. Should we bring families or make it Divas only? We could get 2 or 3 rooms for a night. How far are you NW Divas from Seattle? I am almost 4 hours. I haven't been there for about three years. Since then I have been to Orcas Island, Gig Harbor, and Tacoma but didn't get into Seattle. I want to visit the Experience Museum! Should we splurge for lunch at the Space Needle? Haven't done that for a long time.

So I ended up selling our tickets to the basketball game and will have to watch the Blazers beat the Lakers on TV. :happytv: :cool1:

Wishful thinking there sister! Even without Kobe we are kicking butt (well, at least we are up by 6 points;)). Planning a Seattle Diva mini-meet would be awesome, Carol. I hope it all comes together.:goodvibes

Nothing they're famous for :lmao:
I was strong and had the kids chicken breast strips, fruit and red. fat milk.

I love the grilled chicken sandwich with green chili strip, cheese and homemade guacamole. They have the best guac there, yummo! With the fries though it is a huge meal. Not quite enough to share but too much for one person. That's my experience anyway. Good girl Miss Cristabel - getting the child's meal. :bride:

Cheryl, I hope Doris is ok. Sending hugs and pixie dust her way. And to you too.

I'm less than 2 hours from Seattle. Would most likely be able to do a meet, although we might not stay overnight. I'd love to bring my kids, and we have a Seattle Zoo and Aquarium membership (provided by HomeConnections), so we could easily do either of those. :)

High fives, Linda girl! Make that 12 points ahead.

Without Kobe.

Just sayin.:lmao: (I know, it's a long 4th quarter to go)

I'm home, and I'm pooped! The shower turned out well. The food was plentiful and delicious, and the parents-to-be were very happy.

Chery and Capri--I hope your parents both start feeling better!

Hugs to all! I am off to bed.

Beth, it sounds like you need to move up here. Give it a few weeks and you will get over this cold and rainy thing you have going.

Bryan is sick with the flu. He started feeling bad last night and has a fever, headache, diarrhea and vomiting. So I ended up selling our tickets to the basketball game and will have to watch the Blazers beat the Lakers on TV. :happytv: :cool1:

Mike is in Scottsdale at a seminar and will be coming home tomorrow just in time for Superbowl. I will probably watch it on and off while doing other things. I have a hard time sitting through a whole football game and we are not getting together with anyone this year. Bryan is supposed to go to a party but I doubt he will be better by tomorrow.

Oops I just remembered I need to get my Sunday School lesson ready so better get busy.

I am about 45 minutes from Seattle.

Silly! Of course not! I just got such great one on one time with Vicki and I obviously need more of that with you! I look forward to that opportunity on the trip...and don't you agree that vicki is fab?!?

;) Yes, totally. Fab doesn't even come close to describing her. She's my dear, dear friend who I never would have met if it weren't for Beth and this wonderful thread of great divas!

Looking forward to seeing you too and thanks for being such a good sport with mah teasin'. :cutie:

Oooh, what did you use to bling them out?? That sounds like so much fun :thumbsup2

Ah hem - whatever part of the US?? Angie and I may be sad then.......... ;)

The usual, sequins and pixie dust. :)

Oh gosh, of course - and CANADA! (one of my fav places, actually)

Capri, some :wizard: for your dad. He's been through so much.

Lakers 16 ahead?

Well another weekend of snow. The grandkids only went to school one day last week and they were two hours late that day. It started Friday and ended late Saturday. So since December we have had three major snow storms, we who are lucky to see a couple of inches a year have seen over a foot of snow two storms and over six inches this one (that added to last week's storm). Don't hate me but I hope that it is warm during our trip, lol.

Great pic Shirley! We had tons of snow last year and this year we have only had one little snow and it was gone in a day! Hope you can stay warm!

Lakers put them to bed. Amen. High five to you too, Donna.:cool1:

Shirley, all that snow would freak me out. Good Lord, is that normal for you? I must say my two favorite things about living where I do is the weather and being so close to DL.:goodvibes I can't wait to meet you and enjoy our trip. My DD is leaving Sunday night so I am gonna sit by you at breakfast at SH55 Monday morning, ok? Save the seat for me!;)

Speaking of, those of us left on Monday (I think there are only about a dozen of us) will probably experience "dead" parks and can walk onto most anything we want. I am really looking forward to the small(er) group and uncrowded parks. Let's all hang together, ok?

Well the 5-year streak had to end sometime. So the Lakers finally beat the Blazers in Portland, first time since February 2005. Possibly BECAUSE Kobe wasn't playing - he dreads the games in Portland and gets pretty flustered here.

It sounds fun bringing our families to Seattle. The aquarium or the zoo would be great!

Hi all - I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am!

First thank you so much Kerry for today's t-shirt blinging day! I loved meeting you and your generous hospitality! The food was great, the company was terrific and we have our Diva shirts done!

Courtney I am so glad that I have finally met you - you are just as darling as I imagined. Your mom was so much fun too and I am glad she is joining us for the trip.

Donna - As always I was so glad to see you!

Sarah - I think you are the SWEETEST and I enjoyed so much our time when you came to meet me in Vancouver! And of course the time we had at DL in Sept. I can't wait to see you skinny, little self!

Tonight we went to a see a Beatles Tribute Band and they were very good. Mr. CA gave me the tickets for Christmas - he knows me so well! I am looking forward to seeing the 'Beatles' at EPCOT next weekend!

Sorry I know I've miss a lot and I've miss a lot of what everyone has been posting. Hugs, smiles, happy thoughts to you all.

Guess who's packing her Disneyland backpack...yup, me! Since I don't plan on going anytime between now and our trip, I've started to pack the stuff I'll be taking on the trip like my AP, lanyard, and pins. Yesterday I bought Disney dollars so I will have "cash" on hand for my meals. I'll pack my pillowcase and its contents once I've actually made it!

Anyone else?

Good morning and happy Sunday/superbowl!!

Hey does northern Cal/used to live in Seattle count LOL. I would LOVE to meet you guys if you have a meet. As I said I used to live in Arlington and then Marysville WA and then we moved to Vancouver but I LOVED it up there and mom and I still go up to visit all the time. I went back after I moved here in 98 and again in 04. Shane and I were planning on stopping through there on our road trip this summer but that got put off due to finances but I would LOVE to meet you guys. Mom and I have been wanting to go back for awhile!! Could we pretty please join you???

Kerry that was SO nice that you guys got together and did the shirts. Sounds like you had lots of fun!! I can't WAIT to meet Felicia and Courtney! I know they are going to be lots of fun!! :)

Cristabel I am sorry about your phone but it looks like you have good news and you will be able to get it replaced so that is great!

We are off to church here in a few and they are starting our Awana back up during second service although I don't know much about how they are going to do it yet. When it was on wednesdays we just dropped the girls off at 6 and picked them up at 8 in the sanctuary so I am going to have to find someone who knows what is going on so we know what we are doing. Then while the girls are doing their thing Shane and I have to run do our grocery shopping for the week and then after we pick up the girls we are going to mom and dad's to watch the game. Should be fun hopefully!

Yesterday was a nice kickback day. We rented Love Happens which I don't really remember hearing about but it was pretty good. It was a love story with Jennifer Anniston and I saw it in the store and it looked good so I got it. And then we got Crank 2 which was just WEIRD, Shane's kind of film for sure and the perfect Getaway. Another off the wall film but it was pretty good.

Anyway I am glad when this next week is over because then the girls have their week off so I am really looking forward to it. I have GOT to finish the corp books this week so I can give them to the CPA. We usually do an extension so I don't need to get them done right away but he is pressuring us to do them now which is stupid. We don't even owe anything but whatever. I am just NOT motivated to finsih them cuz I have SO much on mind trying to get stuff finished up for the trip and remember to get all the other stuff done that I need to do. I have to pay my state tax in the next few weeks and this doctor bill that we got on Lynn and then the girls have their talent show and have all these rehearsals that need to be coordinated. So there is just a lot on my mind that I need to remember to do and then our Girl Scout leader added yet ANOTHER thing on my head. Katy wants to do a bronze award and she is basically throwing the whole thing into our lap instead of doing it as a group with the other jr's in our troop. NOT what I needed right now. BLEH! Too much going on. I am afraid I am going to forget something!

Anywho that's bout it for me. I hope those of you watching the game today have a good time and for those non-sports fans hope you have something fun as well!

P.S. Beth sounds like you guys had a fun day as well! I know you don't like the game so enjoy your sunday whatever you do!! :)

I never pack early. Usually a day or two before.
I hate looking at the bag packed and no where to go, yet.

I did my tie dye t-shirt last night/this morning. Here's the results:

Last night, I wasn't sure, it looked pretty messy and like the black was going to cover up all of the red. So I was pleasantly surprised this morning when I unwrapped it and washed & dried it.

You can do it! It's only the 2nd one I've made and although I would have liked less white, I think it's pretty good!!

The 2 threads that explain how to do it are HERE and HERE.

If you REALLY want me to do it, I can...
