Watching a bug's life AGAIN. I tell you, the music in this movie gets me yearning for a trip to DLR like NO other movie music does. Just makes me think of DCA and I get all happy.

Anyone else up for a few turns on Heimlich's during the trip? :goodvibes

Hmmm, I dunno. I think your friend Beth would look better in a black Tink shirt that she already has hanging in her closet. :rolleyes1

No she won't--because the instructions on the front pages explicitly say it has to be a WHITE T-SHIRT NOT EVEN OFF-WHITE. So there.

I've never been on Heimlich. Looks like it's too little for my knees!

And Beth even wrote that on the front page! So she has to comply.

When Old Navy had their 50% off clearance sale, I had a gift card, and I found a white shirt and bought it, just for the transfer. Now, it's 3/4 sleeve, so I'll either broil or have to get another, but still. Easy way to get a shirt that I know will fit in a way that I won't mind terribly.

Robert says there is knee room, and that it is more comfy for him than the front seats on the Pooh ride (which is notoriously difficult for tricky knees). Now, he doesn't have tricky knees, but he does have squeezing-in issues on rides, which might maybe sort of could be extrapolated to having tricky kness.

Best part about that ride is that there is little pressure on getting on fast. It's mostly kids, who tend to have issues with getting in or out quickly, so if you take a bit more time getting situated, no one notices.

Molly, Heimlich's Chew Chew is one of my DD's favorites. She gets giddy and must ride it each time. I don't get it, but I being the true DL freak in the family, I indulge her and we go on it. I like Flik's Flyers better. Those two are the only rides we do in Bug's Land. So, if we are in DCA together, I sense two excited gals running (well, walking briskly) to the good smelling caterpillar ride!

PS - Cheryl, I don't recall it being "snug". I am sure you would be fine. I am 5"7" and chubby and there's plenty of knee room, so you must come, too.:thumbsup2

And as far as the shirts, I posted my dilemna last week (and no one responded feeling sorry for me:guilty: ). My shirt is too tight around my chesticles (hey, you guys named them that, so I'm going with it...) and a little too fitted around my belly. So, if you see with the shirt on by itself, please know I lost ten pounds and it now somewhat fits. Otherwise, I will be wearing a zip up jacket, zipped up to just under the boo...bs, I mean chesticles, showing Tink and the wording only. So, I may "broil", too if the temps are warm. But, I AM wearing my shirt-even if I'm too fat for it!:snooty:

"Carrots are orange, just like candy corn!"

Count me in as another Heimlich fan. We often ask to go 2-3 times in a row due to the short length of the ride and the typical lack of crowds. Cheryl, I really don't think that you will struggle with getting in and it is just so cute...

Yay, other Chew Chew Train fans.

It's extra poignant to a Pixar fan b/c the Pixar employee who voiced Heimlich (and Wheezy the penguin and Peterbilt and Red and Jacques and Lenny the binoculars) passed away tragically, so it's like a little shout-out to the guy.

Speak for yourself!! :rotfl:

Strip, girl, strip (or would that be inappropriate?)

I speak for us all. lol And no, I don't find stripping inappropriate. Thats why we are signing up for the Stripper 101 when we do Vegas. Who knows, by then I may need a new BF.

Not as long as she was taking dollar bills for Disney it wouldn't. Then it's a family related activity! :thumbsup2

Stripping for Disney? Now there's a plan.

Only if its a short line. Its cute, but I refuse to wait in a long line for it.

Trust me, I feel your pain. Do some creative stretching and I am sure you will be able to wear it. And don't worry, there will be plenty of us who will be in the same boat.

Must admit that DS and I do get quite excited to go on Heimlich -- "the most boring ride in the park" ;) It is very slow. And very short. But I do rather like the watermelon spray.

I'm a HUGE Pixar fan. Got to have lunch there a few months ago with an old friend from Jr. High and I was on top of the world. Just too cool. Now that would be a dream place to work... John Lasseter is just dreamy....

I'm more of a lurker there...I'm afraid to say anything. LOL I've seen what happens to some :)

No kidding..I would rather be a lurker sometimes...

I lurk on the freebie thread. :smokin:

Other than that, I stay FAAAR away from the other threads. It just seems to make me want to buy stuff. They post all these great deals and then I end up shopping.

I hate to pass up a good deal...

Well at least you don't have a closet of useless junk you bought because of the BB.

Sadly...I do...:rotfl2:

When on earth did you see a long line for Heimlich? There is rarely a line at all, let alone one that I would consider long. In all our trips we have never had to wait more than 1 train to get on this ride, and typically it is less than half full. I would think that it would take a pretty special and crowded day at DCA for Heimlich to have a long line due to how tucked away the ride it...:confused3

Whimper. Jealous. Lucky you!

It happens! I promise it does. I've seen it, though I have not experienced much of a line (I too refuse).

Thanks, Danger!

In June, DD and I stood in line for 20 minutes. For that ride, I call that a long wait.;)

Question for you girls...those of you that have already ridden Toy Story at DCA, does it spin you around much? I couldn't really tell from the youtube video. Going backwards or spinning would leave my car ....well being rinsed out at the end if you know what I mean. :) Thought I'd save you all the trouble if you could warn me first...since one of you may be getting on it right after I get off. :rotfl2:

Dawn, I cannot wait to meet you, too!:grouphug:

Mommy - Toy Story does not whip or spin you around at all. The vehicle turns, but not quickly or with a "snapping" motion. It does get intense when trying to hit all the targets though! It is an awesome ride, you will love it!:goodvibes
