Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

When on earth did you see a long line for Heimlich? There is rarely a line at all, let alone one that I would consider long. In all our trips we have never had to wait more than 1 train to get on this ride, and typically it is less than half full. I would think that it would take a pretty special and crowded day at DCA for Heimlich to have a long line due to how tucked away the ride it...

We went to DCA on President's Day weekend when my oldest DS was almost one and waited in line OVER 30 minutes for that ride. I didn't know at the time how short it was and was VERY disappointed. But since then I've developed an affection for Heimlich, though I would never wait more than 5 minutes to ride the chew chew train

So, I have a question for you DL experts. If I intend to eventually get a Deluxe AP but want an early morning entry, what's my best bet in terms of buying my park tickets?

Should I just buy a three day park hopper on the web and exchange it in DL after I get my early entry?

The park was light with visitors yesterday..we walked on soarin and rode it 3 times in a row.. then did the same with the zepher.. and also buzz lightyear! ooohh and had yummy wine and coconut shrimp at the Jazz Kitchen... it's a nice place for appetizers.

On our drive home.. we had a happy time talking about all the funny conversations we shared and how special each of you are! We wanted the weekend to be starting rather than ending

And sooooN it will be Miss Zoe's birthday! I'll have to find her a little treasure

Yes ma'am, you've got it!

Just walk right into the AP processing center (aka the Bank) after you've had your MM fun and tell them that you would like to upgrade to an AP! They'll take your info, take your picture, take your money, and hand you your new AP.

Yep, you got it!

Use your early entry and sometime before your hopper expires make the upgrade to an AP.

I read on laughing place they plan to make the bank into the gallery, process center will be at the empty restaurant that's at the end of main street.. that for some reason the name I can not recall. (They sell pins in front of it)

Not sure when the changeover is scheduled. Hoping it's still the bank in March, take some pics as keepsakes for I know the charm of the place will be forever changed.. sniffle sniffle.

I miss the freebie penny smasher they had when it was still a real bank. At least I have extras in my collection.

I have a time or two.

In June, DD and I stood in line for 20 minutes. For that ride, I call that a long wait.

I must have been in line behind January then. l

We just got home and had *such* a great trip!

It was Big Fun to meet all the girLs.. and I was sad to tell them bye when we parted!!

Miss Stacie... Don't make me RoLL Up on You! ... ohmygosh.. Bob and I were laughing about that all day yesterday... We had so much fun! You and I could get into alot of trouble! You have *such* a Kewl Daughter..guess she takes after her MaMaCiTa

It was great meeting you and your DH. I loved how you guys just sorta "rolled up on us". We had a great time hanging out with you guys. When we first left the house, DD said she didn't want to stay long. But after hanging out with you all, I had to almost drag her out of the park. And yes, I am sure you and I will be getting into some trouble come March. Can't wait!

The coconut shrimp there is sooooo good. Its one of my fave appetizers there. The best coconut shrimp I ever had.

No she won't--because the instructions on the front pages explicitly say it has to be a WHITE T-SHIRT NOT EVEN OFF-WHITE. So there.

That can easily be changed ya know.

And as far as the shirts, I posted my dilemna last week (and no one responded feeling sorry for me ). My shirt is too tight around my chesticles (hey, you guys named them that, so I'm going with it...) and a little too fitted around my belly. So, if you see with the shirt on by itself, please know I lost ten pounds and it now somewhat fits. Otherwise, I will be wearing a zip up jacket, zipped up to just under the boo...bs, I mean chesticles, showing Tink and the wording only. So, I may "broil", too if the temps are warm. But, I AM wearing my shirt-even if I'm too fat for it!

I'm sure you are going to look great! I'm working on the losing 10 pounds myself. lol

Question for you girls...those of you that have already ridden Toy Story at DCA, does it spin you around much? I couldn't really tell from the youtube video. Going backwards or spinning would leave my car ....well being rinsed out at the end if you know what I mean. Thought I'd save you all the trouble if you could warn me first...since one of you may be getting on it right after I get off.

I love that ride even though I suck at it! I cannot handle spinning rides of any sort and it's fine.

I've read that that area with pin trading *used to be* the AP processing center temporarily, and is now going to become the gallery. When we were there in December, the AP center was at the bank.

Linda - I think I posted before (if I didn't, sorry!!!) - Zazzle has a great return policy. If you're not happy with the shirt, they'll take it back. You have to phone customer service and they will give you a return authorization number. You can then reorder the same print on a different shirt style/size or get a refund of your money. I think you have time to pull a switcheroo

Just a quick update, I have rearranged the Carnation Cafe seating again. Thanks to Capri and January calling in and using their names to book we were able to get two more smaller tables at earlier times, so we are now ALL eating at either the 4:20 or the 4:30 time!!! We are taking over. I see lots of table hopping going on!!

Anyway, check and see where you are listed. Not everyone was effected by this, mainly the table that had been eating much later then the rest.

Oh I meant that the area back across from the Plaza Inn is going to become the gallery. That long ago it was a temporary AP center, then became whatever it has been (wasn't there a baking thing there for awhile a few years back? I remember wanting DS to do it before we found out about his corn syrup problems), and now it's closed off and is becoming the gallery.
