Accuweather has Anaheim in the 80's today. Ick. That's too hot!!! :crazy2:
I hope it's not that hot for our trip. In the low 70's would be nice. :)

If you're flashing it better be a little warmer.

hahahahah
I am sure glad you have a good sense of humor LOL

Woo Hoo! I hope it is in the 80's when we are there! I loooooovvvveeee warm weather! I want to get a tan! It has been a long time since I have been able to spend any amount of time in the sun due to my children who have verrrryyyy fair skin. I needs me some sun!:cool1: :beach: :bitelip:

Ok, so I got to thinking how unfair life is sometimes. I woke up with a huge zit on my cheek today. How unfair is that? Especially since I was looking for new wrinkle cream this weekend. Zits and wrinkles? You know God must have a humor for that to happen.

My mom felt that very same way.

I didn't know that.

We rented bug's life, and we were finally watching the extras. They have a Voice Casting feature, and they showed this little blond girl...hubby says "who is that?" I said "she plays Dot". He says "no, I recognize her", and since he NEVER recognizes actors that's amazing, and then they showed her name as though in answer to his confusion. And then you could totally see that it was her, at age 6 or so.

I should find out today if we are going to need to buy a new car. I think my husband and I are leaning toward the Hyundai Elantra...anyone have any knowledge or experience with this car?

I'll ask hubby, who knows about all things Vehicle.

And how do they ever go anywhere together. She would need two of those big SUVs (the 8 or 9 passenger ones) to be able to transport everyone. And then how do you pay for that???

My good friend has 5...3 bio, and 2 of her husband's nieces who have been with them since they were infants. Around two years ago, my friend's sister, who divorced her first husband b/c he was molesting some of their girls, had married again, and the new guy was rather unstable, and she'd just had a baby with him when he decided to do something funky about custody of his first kids, and that landed the two of them in jail. So my friend suddenly got her sister's 7 children, too. And since it was a "family foster", they got NO money from the state whatsoever. If I'd fostered them I would have gotten food allowance for them, clothing, etc. But my friend got nothing.

And then sister and husband were released from jail, she got pg again, and now that child is being taken from her too.

My friend had 12 children in her large-ish ranch house for over a year, on ONE salary.

They bought a BIG passenger van to go places. not a minivan or SUV, but a proper passenger van like church daycares or church senior groups pick people up in.

Now friend and sister's parents have all the kids, and they will be fully adopting the two youngest, and the extreme pressure is off my friend and her husband.

And all of the kids were homeschooled, and homeschooled successfully! So it can be done, though I'm sure it's chaos when everyone is still young...friend and sister had olders, and the youngers listened to the olders nicely, but I'm sure if it had all happened a few years earlier it would have been much, much harder.

Molly, did you decide yet?

Sigh. I can't, I just can't. I'm sad. But I can't. No tours for Molly!

I think I just may do that. I was also thinking that maybe we'd make it a point to ride Pirates while you all are dining at Blue Bayou and giving a shout out to my DIS girls!!!

Seriously fun idea. I'm up for it!!!

So we have PS for Carnation Face on Friday at 3:20. We'll probably just be getting ready to head out when you all take the place over!!!!! Big group hugs then!!! :grouphug:

Oh my...don't talk about MommaU4 like that :) :) :):hyper:

Wow, I still cannot imagine. Sure it can be done, but your friend was doing a very good deed. This lady on the other hand.....I don't know. She just seems selfish to me. :sad2:

I think I need a roadmap to follow your friend's saga--but she sounds like good people. And don't worry--you'll have a blast tours or not.

Strip, girl, strip (or would that be inappropriate?)

Well, of COURSE you're coming. We all knew you were.

I'm more of a lurker there...I'm afraid to say anything. LOL I've seen what happens to some :)

I'm afraid to even lurk on the budget board.

Well girls, I lived wild and crazy today--I ate peanut butter:scared1:

Sorry I was confusing. :) I get that way sometimes!

Peanut butter, you're so daring. Meanwhile I'm just peeved as anything b/c I can't get our beloved Mojo bars! Augh. They are completely off drugstore dot com, and did their disappearing act the day after I almost ordered and should have ordered. When I did go to order them, on the last day of my Drugstore Dollars being valid, they were gone gone gone. I'm sure I just have to wait it out until they make a new batch with a different expiration date, but some flavors are at *other* stores...why not online at the cheapest cost, hmm?

It is a dark and dreary day, and E and I slept in very very late (yay for a kid who will do that every so often!), and we are not motivated to do much of anything. Yawn.
