On another topic - what is the link with current menus and prices for DLR. Someone earlier mentioned bringing cash. I am so glad they did! :) I usually just carry cards with me! So I want to figure out how much cash I need to have with me. I haven't been to BB in years - know its pricey but need to get an idea how much I will be spending there.

TIA!:thumbsup2 You guys are the best!

This is where I have found all the menus and pricing:

Disneyland Menus

I am trying to have money also, so that I don't have to worry about getting change back with so many of us.

HTH's!

I have never seen either show and I am game for watching them during VIP tour if others are as well. Or, maybe we should choose one that is our top priority and play the other by ear depending on how the day is going in regards to lines, crowds, etc.

I'm thinking that if they can get us VIP seating, we wouldn't have to watch it during the tour. (I'm not sure how long each is, but hate to waste precious tour time doing it unless they aren't that long. :thumbsup2 ) I'm fine watching one during the tour if that's what the group wants though. I'm going to see both shows at some point I hope, I'm just hoping to get some great seats while I'm at it!

Evening ladies! :wave2:

I can't decide if I should drive or fly! :confused3 I keep going back and forth. I know driving would be more economical and we always drive down as a family, however I am afraid I would get tired easily doing it alone. (I have a child who has major sleep issues and I am up a lot at night and therefore get tired when I sit too long! )
On the other hand, there are some good deals on flying down there. The best being flying JetBlue into Long Beach for $104 rt (before taxes). But I am not sure how much it would cost to get to HOJO from there? Anybody know? Is it better to pay more to fly into LAX or Orange Cnty because the transportation would be much cheaper? I know - lots of questions! :rotfl:

Allears.net http://allears.net/dlr/din/dining.htm is the site that I use most often for menus. But, I have found that it is not always the most accurate in regards to pricing, especially for the buffets as those prices change often with the season.

I also don't do great with long drives by myself, so as for whether to fly or drive, I would fly if it were me. I am not sure what the cost would be for ground transportation, but it can't be too expensive!

That's the same site I linked to! It's not always accurate, but I guess it must be the best since we both told her about it!

Evening everyone. I got only about 1/3 of my homework done. Its frying my brain. Still have tons more to do. But needed a break.

Hope everyone enjoyed their Sunday.

Well, exciting for me.
I just booked my first wedding!:cool1:
That's great news!! Wow, how exciting. Before long we'll see you on Food Network and we can all say we knew you when. :goodvibes

Beth, I accidently sent it to you, too. I couldn't figure out why I had 13 people instead of 12, kind of made me freak out for a second!!!
:rotfl2: OK, I sent you one back before I read here.

I'd fly. Or take a bus or train or something so you can relax on the way. Don't know about the other transportation costs. Sorry.

Hey Amy, I would totally make a tote, if I had the capability of sewing. :artist: My plan was and still is to get a canvas like tote and decorate it with Disney stuff. That is what I envisioned, but I agree it's gotten away from what I was originally envisioning. But that's okay, seems that's what people want and most are pretty excited about it. Mine may or may not have stuff in it, but mostly it will have stuff ON it.
If we're too far "out there", you and I can exchange with each other. :thumbsup2

Thanks for the vote of support. Pretty brave of you to take on something
from me. Have you forgotten the Baggalini of Death incident on the VIP tour?

I finished the tote and my DD thinks it's perfect and darling. Encouraging until you remember that she is only 8, and happily wears red and purpley-pink together. I think I will have to add a bit of ric-rac to hide some wonky stitches on the front pocket.

QUOTE=cheshiregirl;29884174]I'm right there with you on both counts. My tote is 100% pre-purchased. Otherwise it would look like the little drawstring backpack that Ty decorated at school as a Christmas present for me this year. I know with kid presents it's the though that counts and I will cherish it always. But, you won't find me using it in public. And, I didn't even manage to get my shirt right on zazzle, as I didn't move Tink up and to me it looks weird!

But, I am jealous of those who are crafty and artsy--so if you can, please do. And, if you are craft impaired like I am, embrace it and let others do the work![/QUOTE]

Hey, I like lame drawstring backpacks!!! As for being craft-impaired, perhaps I only THINK I am crafty!!!

I actually did not specify either indoor or outdoor. Any preferences from anyone? I've never been there before, so it's all good to me!

I don't have a preference either. If the weather isn't horrid, the outdoor seating would diffuse the high squeals of princess induced little girl joy!!

Morning ladies. I am once again working on homework. UGH! Seems like it never ends. So that means no DL for me today after all. And it looks grat outside. But the homework won't get done on its own. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Yeah, you weren't there, but I met a lovely woman named, Natalie that I thought was you!!! Hey, I only spent two days with you...the woman had...er...chesticles of similar...er...dimensions and totally perfect hair similar to yours. Oops, she was actually a hoot and quite fun. Not my new BFF or anything, but we talked in line!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Did a wee shopping at DL today to add to my tote since I used mostly fabric I had on hand (Minnie Dot), so didn't include it in my $ limit!!

Oh, and Stacie, since you didn't make it today, it totally sucked and lines were long and the clam chowder bowl was awful as were the chocolate covered marshmellows from Pooh's and giant soft pretzel. The crowds were rude, the CMs not friendly or helpful. So, got that? All bad...all long, guests rude, CM's annoying and didn't see any characters.;) ;) ;)

Feel better? My DD and I had a blast!!! Short day as it is a school day tomorrow.

So you thought some woman with chesticles and perfect hair was me? She must have been hot then. :lmao:

Glad to hear it was long lines, food was bad, no characters and the CM's were rude. Makes me feel better that I was responsible and did my homework instead. Really appreciate the white lie. Thanks!

Glad you guys had a great day though.

Cove Bar...do they let kids in? Maybe DBF can take the girls to eat at AG and I can come to the Cove Bar and meet you all! Hmmmm, mental note to check the Cove Bar schedule. :)

Yes, kids are allowed. They just can't sit right up at the bar-bar, but they can sit at the tables further away.

You can go to supershuttle and get a quote online. You can also google "anaheim taxi" and find some basic rates from there to the Disneyland area. If the prices are close, then transportation differences can sway things, but if the prices are far apart then it's different.

SW is starting a big sale tomorrow, so be sure to check that out. Also check out Virgin America, depending on if you're close to SF, b/c the VA experience is lovely. :)

About the GAT voucher rates, they usually are a good deal. It's kind of strange that they are apparently such a bad deal right now. I might think that the CM quoted some wrong prices (sometimes they quote with tax, sometimes not, and sometimes they say they're quoting with tax but are not) or the prices on GAT reflect the holiday pricing rather than current (or prices in March will be holiday but DLR isn't saying that). But GAT includes tax AND tip, and usually is a better deal. So something odd's going on.

Just an FYI on the Photopass, I'm going to cut it off at 20 people, it will get really out of hand with too many people. We're at 19 right now, so I can take one more... Any takers? If you're not sure how it works, please read the Photopass Information post. It's not really that difficult, like Molly said though DO NOT make your own photopass account or you won't be able to add yours to the group account.

I wonder if you can make a way for people to get a CD, but not take part in editing? That way there aren't 20+ people editing, but we can all get the end result?

My vote is that would take too much work for 1 (or even a few people) to take care of. I know from last year I enjoyed putting the borders on my pictures. Also there were a lot of people that did go off on their own (myself included) and had photopass pictures taken.

I'll go with the majority though.

Hope you all had a great day. We didn't get any of the rain we were supposed to get today. :sad2: We so needed it too.

Steph

Yes.

But, I have never gottern chided by the DIS police for being family-unfriendly.

AMYSUE

Hey now. It was one time and I wasn't the only one doing it. Just the only one who got caught. Its just the man ::cop: trying to keep me down.

Steph: I agree, I think people should be able to edit at least their own photos (or photos they are in). Unless Stacie wants to take her time to put EVERY border on EVERY picture. And even then, sometimes I play with zooming a picture, etc. Which she wouldn't know what we wanted done.

The weather did look perfect today. I wouldn't really know though since I never left my house. I rolled out of bed, washed up, pony tailed my hair, and put on yoga pants and a sweatshirt. Then worked on homework all day. No need to leave the house for that.

Yeah, Beth sucked you in to a life of crime and didn't get caught! What's up with that? :rotfl2:

I have never done the photo pass like this before. I think I would like to add boarders and such. Unless there is a huge reason why we shouldn't, I want to be able to edit pics.
