Wow, that's one reason I never wanted to own. Well, two reasons actually. One, I like the freedom to move if I get bored. And two, it's not enough to have the money for the mortgage, you've got to have additional for repairs, upkeep, upgrades, etc, and we don't. :sad2:

I know. And $300 a month might as well be $3000 a month for us. We don't have any extra. We rent a house and we have to take care of certain things like weekly landscaping and any pest spraying (spiders!!!! :crazy2: ) but if something major goes wrong like plumbing or air conditioning, etc. then we can just call the landlord and not have to worry about paying for it.

Plus I've never been one to really want "roots". My MIL and FIL married at age 19, bought a house and lived there for 40 years! I could never do that. I get bored too easily.
When the kids move out, Ruben and I are going to sell everything we own, buy a motorhome and travel the U.S. :) (Well, that's our goal anyway)

Yayyyyy. We love renting too. Thought about buying for a month or two, in a rent-to-own situation from our beloved landlady, but then the brand new townhouse started showing its problems, and when we left there after our lease was up, and the other owners were having to band together to hire a lawyer to sue the builder, we were immensely glad to be only renters.

We want to buy a boat. :)

My great grandfather (who worked on the railroad) would come home and find out they had moved!

:rotfl: :lmao: I'm in love with your great grandmother. :)

Okay: 1). Cheese Pizza. I am a picky eater, and nitrites/nitrates in pepperoni and sausage give me a migraine.

2). Beer is good. I am such a light weight...I'd better stick with soda. Diet Coke, thank you very much.

3). I hate "roots" too. I have lived in the house my DH and I bought 9 years ago the longest time I have ever lived ANYWHERE, ever. I want to move. It makes you get rid of all your crap...er....stuff!! CLutter kills!!!

Oh, and sorry to hear about all of the dental woes. I haven't had a cavity since I was 10...and I really enjoy my dentist. He belonged to the dental frat I always played with at Ohio State!!!

4). Oh, and I bought the fabric for the tote I am making. Am I the only geek sewing one? A bit too home spun? Little House?

AMYSUE

I guess we can call you AmySue Ingalls then. :rotfl:

Oh my gosh you all talked like little old hens today. :chat: :hyper2:

I had a lot of fun reading through all the pages though.

I would love to add to the Vons order. I am addicted to Lipton's Diet Green Tea with citrus. I would love to get a 12 pack of it for the room.

As far as Pizza goes, I would eat any of the kinds listed, but would like plain old pepperoni the best.

Drinks-I'm up for anything, but am a lightweight also. I only like very light beers. My current favorite is Hoegarden. I wouldn't mind channeling my inner 1980's girl, and have a couple of wine coolers. Haven't had one in years and they sound good.

I have the tote I'm giving, but am trying to find some goodies for it.

I don't drink coffee, and so will let Stacie and Callie battle that one out in the room, but why would we have to have powdered creamer when we have a fridge in our room?

Good night all!

Ive been craving a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting all day. And you want to know what?......I still haven't gotten it. Damn!

Mmmmm, that sounds damn good right now. I'm awake. Can't sleep.
I know! Here. Virtual calories. LOL

Good luck with that, Beth...is that the second book?
I had a hard time putting that one down....
No, Breaking Dawn is the last one. I didn't get very far. I'm only about 16 pages in.

Yayyyyy. We love renting too.
:thumbsup2

OMG, you are making the whole tote bag?? Wow. That is impressive.

Love the new pics in your sig.
Thanks. I was bored. LOL

Ahhhh, I see.

Yep, what will I do without my pack a day. :confused3
Hey, do we have any smokers in this group? Doesn't bother me none. I'm used to it. My step dad smoked and around here there's always smoking in the casinos.

QUOTE]

Well, I am a reformed ex closet smoker and I am the worst. I absolutely hate even the smell of smoke. And that is the only thing I hate about Vegas, and man everyone there smokes! But, I am also mostly very tolerant, and keep my repulsion to myself except when it comes to my Mom and my sister, who I tell to their face how horrible they smell and ask how they can kill themselves etc. I won't even let my kids stay at my Mom's house because she smokes in the house. We walk in for a visit, and I send them out in the back yard to play because I don't want them breathing that air. Have you heard the news, now 3rd hand smoke kills. What the heck is 3rd hand smoke?

I love that pic at the Disney Soda Shop. I wanted to go and see movie too, but it is some stupid shopoholic movie that is playing and I guess it is not worth it to me to go this trip, and not see a movie. Guess I have to save something for next time.

Oh, hey ladies, all this talk about renting is getting to me. Didn't I tell you I was in Real Estate? You're making me want to get out my sales skills and demonstrate the pros and cons and show you the way to make home ownership affordable, profitable and pleasurable:) But, I won't, because A: I don't sell anymore, and B: I'm tired! But I will say this, real estate has been the absolute best investment that we have ever made, and we have not always been in the right place at the right time. Okay, Good Night!

Oopsie! Sorry. I think it's a good investment if you can afford it. We really can't. I mean, the mortgage probably, but not the expenses that go along with it. When you live paycheck to paycheck and your roof starts to leak, you are royally screwed! kwim? LOL
Plus, I like to move too much. I will say that we bought a house in Michigan. We own it along with my mom. We lived in it for three years, and she took over payments when we moved. Our name is still on it though.

(sigh) Guess I'll try to sleep now too. Night!

Okay ladies, we need to talk pizza for a minute here. (My favorite subject!! lol)

First off, we got GREAT news from Lorealle today. She sent me an email letting me know she and Willie made some calls to the company that had previously booked the conference room, and were able to get it cleared for us to use it for our Meet and Greet on the night of the 5th!! :cool1:

So no worries about being out in the cold or rain. :thumbsup2

Now the plan is to order pizza from Costco. We need some info on what sort of pizza everyone prefers so we don't end up ordering too many meat, when most prefer cheese, that sort of thing.

These are the choices:
Vegetarian (bell pepper, onion, olives, mushroom),
Meat (pepperoni and sausage),
Combination (sausage, pepperoni, olives, bell pepper and mushrooms),
Pepperoni
and Plain cheese.

We have 30 ladies signed up for this event. PLEASE, PLEASE post and share your opinions on what you'd like to see ordered so those planning it can get a general idea. Thank you!!

Also they are planning to serve a salad. AND we are asking those who are able, to please bring a dessert to share. Even if you are flying, if you can pack some cookies in your suitcase that would be great. If it's simply not doable, that's ok, but for those who can, please plan to bring a treat to feed approx. 30. Thanks!!

Finally, we need to discuss drinks. We need ideas on how best to manage this. We are going to do Jello shots that Cheryl has graciously offered to make and chill ahead of time. But if anyone wants anything stronger, or some wine, etc. then we need to figure out the best way to do that. Perhaps pool some money and make a liquor run?

Anyway, thanks for your input. That's what will help make this trip a success!! :flower3:

IF I can make it I would love combination pizza YUM. It's the only way I eat my veggies :rotfl:

Beth are you still doing ChaCha?

Nope. You? I was just too annoyed with it. I hated reading how everyone else was getting questions and I wasn't. :confused3

Hey, January & Beth, it is picking up. I just missed getting $100 in for January, since I didn't do too much in December after being paid on the 15th. But this is my Disney money, so I have incentive to keep doing it. However, being at .10 STINKS!! Hopefully as of tomorrow, I'll be back to .20.

Good night all!

Hmmm, maybe we should ask the Von's girls to get us a small container of creamer. Callie, any specific flavor? I pretty much like them all! :coffee:

:rotfl: :lmao: I'm in love with your great grandmother. :)

Yeah--we loved her too. She was 93 or 94 when she died--still got down on the ground to play cards with the grandkids--but she cheated!!!!!! LOL

Ive been craving a red velvet cupcake with cream cheese frosting all day. And you want to know what?......I still haven't gotten it. Damn!

That's probably the only cake (well, maybe German Chocolate) that I don't care for. The thought of all that red food coloring . . . . ick. (I like the cream cheese frosting though!)

Cheryl.. my grandmother was the same way.. my grandfather joked that she lived in nearly every house on their block til she found the one she wanted.:rotfl:

My Dad was in the Navy and when he came home... a stranger answered the door and said, Oh! Your family moved down two houses and across the street.:rotfl2:

My Dad always says... you think that's bad.. what about coming home from the service to find your parents moved!

Too funny!

For anyone who wants to join in the Vons order, please PM me with what you want, brand, size, etc. so that I don't miss anything. I don't want anyone being sad that they don't have their Diet Pepsi  :thumbsup2

IF I can make it I would love combination pizza YUM. It's the only way I eat my veggies :rotfl:
:rotfl2: I hope you do make it! As soon as I hear from Lorealle we'll post the time.

Good morning girls.:wave2:

I gotta go to work today...bah!

Talk to you all later.
Sorry about that, but I guess that means Maddie is better so that's good.

Hopefully as of tomorrow, I'll be back to .20.
I hope so!

I like all cake. Well, not true. I don't like fruity flavors like lemon, strawberry, etc.

:rotfl2: Too funny!
