As far as pizza goes the only thing I don't like is onions or peppers but if people want that I will eat cheese so that is cool if you want to get a cheese one and then get a combo with those other things. My mom eats everything lol. And I am a non drinker so as long as there is some type of diet coke or pepsi or even bottled water I am good. Mom drinks the alcohol so she again will do whatever.

We are flying into LAX and then are taking the shuttle but hopefully getting into Anaheim around 4ish so hopefully we will have some time to kill so maybe we can get a cab or something and pick up some cookies or some other type of dessert cuz we aren't going to have a lot of space to bring much. (going to try and get away with just a carryon). But I know I am going to want waters for my room so will probably get a cab to target or to the grocery store.

Anyway thanks for asking and let us know about what we need to chip in on prices.

Hi Kelly, don't worry about bringing a dessert if you have to make a special stop for it. I don't want anyone to go out of their way too much. :)

OMG, all this talk of pizza is making my stomach growl!! :rotfl2:

Yay for girl beer! I thought that stuff was pretty darn good.

:scared: I've started bringing my own creamer down with me. I just can't handle that powdered stuff.

Ok, so you bring the creamer, I'll bring the coffee!

Quick! Where's the vomit smiley???!!! Ewwww -- obviously you're not quite the same caliber of coffee snob that I am. :snooty:

I'll be finding some REAL (unflavored) coffee and real creamer somewhere or I will have to just go with the last resort avoid-caffeine-headache-Diet-Coke-for-breakfast routine.

Nope, no coffee snob here; I can drink most kinds of coffee, except instant and the hotel coffee. I would much rather have real flavored creamer than powdered, but what can I do?

I just heard from Capri. She said to tell everyone hi. :wave2: She's been really sick. Poor thing. I hope she doesn't have pneumonia! Anyway, if you can spare any good thoughts, I'm sure she'd appreciate it. :)

So who's doing the tote exchange and bought their tote already?? :cool1: Or made it, if you're one of those crafty types. LOL

As soon as I'm up to it, maybe this weekend, I want to start looking for one and for some little treats to put in it!! I can't wait!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

I'm still looking for the right tote. I just haven't found one that I really like for this. :confused3

I am placing an order with Vons. I was going to ask if anyone else wanted to order water or something. My order has to add up to $50, but I do get free shipping.

I'm interested in getting some water so that I don't have to pay the park prices for it. I won't have a vehicle so this is a better option. Let me know?

Okay ladies, we need to talk pizza for a minute here. (My favorite subject!! lol)

First off, we got GREAT news from Lorealle today. She sent me an email letting me know she and Willie made some calls to the company that had previously booked the conference room, and were able to get it cleared for us to use it for our Meet and Greet on the night of the 5th!! :cool1:

So no worries about being out in the cold or rain. :thumbsup2

Now the plan is to order pizza from Costco. We need some info on what sort of pizza everyone prefers so we don't end up ordering too many meat, when most prefer cheese, that sort of thing.

These are the choices:
Vegetarian (bell pepper, onion, olives, mushroom),
Meat (pepperoni and sausage),
Combination (sausage, pepperoni, olives, bell pepper and mushrooms),
Pepperoni
and Plain cheese.

We have 30 ladies signed up for this event. PLEASE, PLEASE post and share your opinions on what you'd like to see ordered so those planning it can get a general idea. Thank you!!

Also they are planning to serve a salad. AND we are asking those who are able, to please bring a dessert to share. Even if you are flying, if you can pack some cookies in your suitcase that would be great. If it's simply not doable, that's ok, but for those who can, please plan to bring a treat to feed approx. 30. Thanks!!

Finally, we need to discuss drinks. We need ideas on how best to manage this. We are going to do Jello shots that Cheryl has graciously offered to make and chill ahead of time. But if anyone wants anything stronger, or some wine, etc. then we need to figure out the best way to do that. Perhaps pool some money and make a liquor run?

Anyway, thanks for your input. That's what will help make this trip a success!! :flower3:

The vegetarian sounds good to me. I'll eat the meat, combination as well, just not a fan of sausage....I can pick that off. ;)

I'm more than happy to bring a homemade treat for the party. As far as the beverages go, I'm not a drinker. :upsidedow So as long as there is some diet coke or water, I'll be good to go.

You all were talkative today. I'm at page 88 right now....Back to catching up.

Sure - just take a look at Vons and see if there is any particular brand of water you want (I'm getting Aquafina) and how many. Water I can keep in the room, no problems! :thumbsup2

I'm also getting cream, etc. for coffee (I'm bringing my French Press), so I can start the day right!

I love vanilla vodka. I like it with OJ. Tastes like a creamsicle. Or I like it in Diet coke. I'll pretty much mix it with what ever's handy.:rotfl:

OJ is good too. My SIL also got me into Captain Morgan and Dr. Pepper. It seems like it would be strange, but it's good.

actually, on the alcohol thing--I think it would be better if we could do the liquor run prior to the day of the party--so let's have a mini-poll:

Do you drink:

Wine
Beer
Hard stuff
No alcohol

Obviously we're not planning on having a drunk-fest (are we?) but having an idea as to everyone's preferences would give us an idea of where to go with that aspect of the party.

Diet Coke or Water is fine with me

I'm not a coffee drinker, but I am a veteran of the Diet Coke for breakfast... Since I was a teenager and first started working early hours.

I almost spit out the cheese I was eating. That is hilarious...:thumbsup2

 Capri. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks I'll take a look tonight and then PM so we can arrange payment.

Alright I'm caught up as of now....We're heading out to dinner, the one night of the week I know I don't have to cook or do dishes. :cheer2: I'll be back on later tonight.

Hope you all had a great day.

What if we brought our own coffee and made it in the room? I have tons of different flavored coffees, and we could suffer with powdered creamer...
:scared:
Sorry, I am a coffee snob, I am a Washington girl afterall....:rotfl:

What she said...

Hi everybody! I'm home from a crazy day, and ready for bed!!!!! I still have to make a couple of cakes tonight, but other than that, I'm going to relax with a glass of red win and watch American Idol. Then it is off to bed for me! We are catering a party for 100 people tomorrow night, so I need to sleep tonight.

For pizza, my first choice is cheese, but I'll eat combo or pepperoni too.

I am not a beer drinker, but if there is red wine or a vodka cran, I'm a happy girl! Actually, our new favorite drink in vanilla vodka, cranberry juce and a splash of sprite. Very tastey!

Or vanilla vodka and root beer! A very nice grown-up root beer float.
I love vanilla vodka & root beer.
Have you tried rasp vodka & diet 7 -up? Its pretty tasty.

I am placing an order with Vons. I was going to ask if anyone else wanted to order water or something. My order has to add up to $50, but I do get free shipping.

Hello! I would love a 6 pack of water, and also a 12 pack of diet coke. That's it, and I will gladly pay you cash. Thanks so much. Tracey

I prefer pepperoni or cheese and can make do with what ever. Love beer and diet coke:), but that vanilla vodka is sounding fabulous, and I have seldom turned down a margarita, well, I guess you get the idea huh? But I am a light weight so probably just one of whatever, or I'll be looking like that puking smilie guy.

I will figure out how to bring something sweet.

I don't want anybody to have to go out of their way on the dessert thing--we could always buy some cookies and stuff at Costco too.

I have not. I bet 7-up would be good with watermelon vodka too!

Taking a quick break from class. So I thought I would check in.

We don't want anyone going to trouble getting desserts. No extra trips or anything. If you are able to bring a dessert along with you, great. If not no worries. Those who are local or are driving in should be able to. Those flying I think it would be difficult. Don't go to extra hassle for dessert.
