I spent the summer in WV about 8 years ago. I am completely blanking on what city, LOL...it was when I was working for
Amazon, and I went out to help train at the then brand new customer service site out there...Huntington! That's it, Huntington. Offices above the police station.
I actually quite liked it (note: I spent almost 4 years in Spartanburg SC for chiro school so it wasn't my first time in a hot, humid, Southern environment), though I couldn't breathe my first week. OMG I've never had such humidity. But I quickly re-learned how to walk (slooooowly) and stopped sweating as much (this was a learning curve that took me at least a month to figure out in spartanburg). Spent some good times at the Elephant Walk, and cigar and port bar downtown.

I partook of the port, not the cigars, though.
Over a 3 day holiday weekend, one of my co-workers and I spent a very long day exploring. Went over the New Bridge (scary scary scary!), explored a cave (Lost World Caverns), and found where I will someday retire in Lewisburg. WV is *very* different than where I've lived all my life, but in many ways I like it (SC, too).
Good to hear you've got so many carriers.

Bummer they are packed!
Remember when your kids are asking about the move, to tell them that you are taking THEM, too. We seemed to have missed spelling that part out to Eamon on our last move, and only found out when he asked us to leave his toy garage with him, so he'd have something to play with after we moved out. Oh gosh I start to cry Every Time I think about that...I hope he hadn't been fretting about that too long...so make it clear to them that they are coming with you.
And an offshoot...whenever we would start to pack, that's when boy-o got clingier. Some kids just don't like seeing things being put into boxes, I guess!
