Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

That is one of the funniest things I have read in a long time!

So I have not had a chance to get caught up on the thread, but I have started packing! I need to call in house reservations still about the entertainment rate now that I have access to a card (thanks Heather! ) I also still need to go get my LGMH...probably on Thursday when I am in town doing all my appointments...Dentist, doctor and optomitrist all in one day...fun fun. Oh well, I plan to have lunch with a good friend as well. And it will be nice to have all those out of the way! Just need to think possitive!

I should find out today if we are going to need to buy a new car. I think my husband and I are leaning toward the Hyundai Elantra...anyone have any knowledge or experience with this car?

Ok--seriously--whoever the doctor is that implanted all these embryos should be brought up in front of the medical board. I don't see a reason for a single woman with six kids to be undergoing fertility treatment of any type. Oh and I also heard today that she wants to get on reality t.v. as a "child raising expert" --yeah, right.

That lady is just 3 years older than I am. I have a hard enough time with 2 kids..I couldn't no, I wouldn't even imagine 14

I wish!!! I've been going over my packing list tonight and I didn't think it was possible, but mine is longer then January's!!!

Amy and Jane are going to tie me to the roof because there won't be any room left in the car, and January and Capri are going to kick me out on the balcony.

I don't even have a packing list yet. I have never not checked my baggage...so I am trying to figure out what I should or should not take..how big my bag can be???

Anyway, our trip is getting closer - we are almost at the one month mark!

And I agree about that crazy lady who now has 14 children. I hope she doesn't get one thin dime, but you know she will. I personally will not buy anything related to her or her story. She has some serious mental issues.

OMG, you actually started packing?? I was thinking about it but talked myself out of it. I was afraid my family would think I'd lost it.

That lady is crazy. Imagine helping 14 kids with homework, or making a snack or meal for 14 kids. Helping 14 kids with their baths each night. I know the oldest is 7 but still, even my 8 year old twins need to be checked on when they are in the shower now and then, kwim?

And how do they ever go anywhere together. She would need two of those big SUVs (the 8 or 9 passenger ones) to be able to transport everyone. And then how do you pay for that???
They said she declared bankruptcy last year.

And how did she have 6 kids between the ages of 2 and 7? That's six years so was she getting pregnant each and every year, one after another?
It's just so selfish on her part, imo.

Anyway, don't know where all that came from!! Guess she just irks me. lol
Good luck packing. I know for a fact, I could never just take a carry on. I have too much stuff.

Beth, I completely agree with you.

One of my cousins got pregnant when she was 15. And had 7 more. She was living off of tax payers and just kept getting pregnant. She finally got married, but then had 6 of her 8 kids taken away because of things going on at home ( I am not sure what...I know she was doing porn ).

So, yeah. It is frustrating. Brent and I want to have another child, but at this time we cannot afford it. We are both in school and struggle as it is.

I guess I can go get pregnant and let the taxpayers worry about it.

But anyway funnygarcia I just wanted to let you know that here in CA we are supposed to be getting IOU's for our refunds. Were you aware of that? I am sure we will get them EVENTUALLY but I just wanted to let you know. I am REALLY wanting mine too.

I heard that. That's just so WRONG, for me it's about $80 (what he paid in last year) -- no biggie if we don't get it for awhile. But I know many families rely on the tax return to pay off credit cards and buy whatever.. just making the problem worse for the economy.

I don't know if it will phase him. Give him another year and another trip to DL and we will see. We are taking the kids in September along with my sister in law and her family (2 of her kids are the same ages as my 2!).

It is hard for me to leave her behind on this trip...but I really do need to get away-alone. We are hoping to hit WDW next Spring (2010). We have had that planned for awhile...so that will be a nice surprise for her. But until then, there are no more trips to Disney.

A few days ago hubby and I were at JcPenney's.. I was hoping to find some capris or something summery amongst the clearance. (nothing really, T shirts, but I bought those last visit)
Hubby said " you know when I said you should go I didn't think about it much. I wasn't thinking that I will have to hear about it for the next month" .. grumbe grumble.. and then .. I notice a wink and a laugh.

He's such a goober!

We are going to DW but not until 2011 or so. My daughter is 7 months and I want her to be 3 when we go since we are also going to go on the cruise! We deffinitely need get aways without the family. It helps us be that much better for them when we come back! I can't wait to see you again!

Just a quick update, I have rearranged the Carnation Cafe seating again. Thanks to Capri and January calling in and using their names to book we were able to get two more smaller tables at earlier times, so we are now ALL eating at either the 4:20 or the 4:30 time!!! We are taking over. I see lots of table hopping going on!!

Anyway, check and see where you are listed. Not everyone was effected by this, mainly the table that had been eating much later then the rest.

That is just crazy. She just baffles me...Who in there right mind would continure having kids when you couldn't afford them??
I was 18 one month after high school graduation I had my oldest. I HAVE ALWAYS HAD A JOB. I worked at Wal Mart and hated it!!! But I made a choice to keep my child...so therefore I suffered through Wal Mart hell for a year...NEVER AGAIN!!! ...well unless I was really desperate....
