I've never been on the Subs themselves--with my knees didn't want to deal with the stairs. So I've done the Observation Room alternative--which is cute, but . . . . just "ok"

Space? :crazy2:
Yeah, the stairs are hard to maneuver.
I did Space back in October with my family and I do not like it. I get a headache.

If we don't get the cell phone list before we go then let's pm eachother with our numbers so we can hook up!! :)
I will be PMing everyone the phone list once it's complete so they can look over the numbers and make sure there are no errors, then we will have a small, laminated one to hand out. January has actually volunteered to make the small laminated ones for us.

Well I made this big long post and then my stupid internet went out and it didn't post. ARG! But anyway Capri yes I would LOVE to share a cab. Mom and I will probably check a bag cuz I can NEVER shove everything into a carry on. I WAY overpack LOL. But hopefully that won't be a problem. I think it would be awesome if we could all share a cab cuz it is WAY quicker than waiting on a shuttle. Plus it would be so fun to get to know you guys.

I talked to mom too about going on rides and she wasn't as amped about that but I could probably convince her and even if not maybe just we could go. I am ALWAYS amped about going on rides!! I am just SO ready to meet everyone and get started. I don't want to get there and just sit around. So I am a go! If we don't get the cell phone list before we go then let's pm eachother with our numbers so we can hook up!! :)

Oh I am getting excited! This is going to be so fun! Are you a go on all the rides type person or are there any you don't like? Cuz I love em all! But it's cool cuz I don't have to go on everything I will do whatever. But if you DO like everything I am game for everything. Oh except for that thing in paradise pier. I can't even remember the name but the one that shoots up in the air. HATE that one. And of course the Wheel of death but that is down anyway so I am good! ;)

But screamin, Tower you name it I am a go! ;)

I love almost all the rides except:

Tower of Terror - rode it once. Probably won't ride it again, unless I'm feeling really crazy.

And that drop tower thing on the pier - NO WAY!

Everything else I love to ride. (Even the Sun Wheel, although I've heard many others call it various names of 'death' or 'evil'. It's certainly not my favorite ride or anything. Really it's kinda boring, and I sure as heck wouldn't wait very long in line to ride it. Funny how those swinging gondolas don't bother me......although I wouldn't want to be riding it and then all of a sudden an earthquake hit. :lmao: )

That would be the Maliboomer

On the last mini-meet in Oct. we went on the Haunted Tour, which included the Tower of Terror--Wendy, Stacielee and some others insisted I had to go on it. Yikes. When the picture was taken they're all "whoo hoo-" with their hands up in the air. I was hanging on for dear life!

Man, I'm WAY behind you two in post count.

Geesh, I joined the DIS a year before Beth, and there's no way I'd catch up with her (or January either). I must be a slow typist.

:offtopic:

I know some of you have bought Grab Bags of pins from Mouse Pins.

I bought some last year from someone down in San Diego and was very happy with what I received--but now cannot for the life of me remember who it was? Any ideas?

Ok--enough fiddle farting around at the office--off to get a cut and color!

Hola, ladies! How is your Saturday going?

My mom and I are going to hit Target in a few. I love going there with her. She is a Target freak like me.
_____________

I wanted to make the phone list small enough to fit in the holder-dealies on the lanyards. So they will be nice and handy. :thumbsup2

Maliboomer, thanks Cheryl! ;) See I refuse to even remember the name because I hate the ride so much. Katy can't WAIT to be tall enough so she can go on the stupid thing. Funny I LOVE Tower but yet the thought of that dumb thing makes me cringe. Who knows if I actually rode it maybe I would like it but something about it I don't know. Maybe the baurf shields in front who knows. ;)

But anyway it is funny too I will go on just about ANY roller coaster, LOVE Tower of Terror and yes I am one of the ones that puts my hands up!! But don't get me on sun wheel. I HATE HATE HATE ferris wheels. Probably because of the trauma I had at the state fair when I was on one and it broke down when I was on the top and I sat there for over an hour. It was cold and windy and I was petrified. Thoughts RIGHT out of Final Destination 3!! And yes I know that was about a roller coaster but you know I could envision something to do with a ferris wheel too! But anyway I was shouting down to the guy I DON"T LIKE THIS GET ME OFF THIS THING NOOOOOOOOWWWWWW!!!! He had to physically pull the thing by hand to get each car down. It was awful. Katy was sitting next to me and was all of maybe 6 and was telling ME, mom it will be alright. Pretty bad when the KID has to tell the MOM it will be ok! LOL

And the last time I rode sun wheel was in 06 and every time it would stop and that thing would jerk and drop I would hold on for dear life. I just HATE that thing. And don't even THINK I would get on the cars that actually swing in. That was just the STATIONARY one! FORGET it. And I am claustrophobic and even got up enough courage to ride nemo even though I was sweating the entire time and had to hum to myself and tell myself it was NO big deal but I was DEF ready to get off that thing but even THAT didn't bother me as much as that wheel of death! LOL

But give me tower or screamin any day. LOVE em! Space, Indy, Big thunder bring em on.

Of course the only coasters I can't take anymore or the really rickety wooden ones that make your teeth rattle like ghost rider at knotts or some of the other old wooden coasters. I am too old and they give me whip lash. But the smooth steel coasters bring em on! LOVE EM! :)

:rotfl: I finally went on it in October. I'd been on the one in WDW a few times, but never the one in DCA. Anyway, that's how I looked!! I was screaming and holding on as tightly as I could. :scared1:

Nah, I just talk to much. :mic:

Everyone else is cleaning or working on CDs or at least at work today...I'm sitting around, swiffering up granola bar bits...and watching my landlords replace our toilet. Ah, the renting life, love it! :goodvibes Helps that they are seriously good people.

Then later on Robert will get home, change into party clothes, and we drop E off with grandma while we go to the company party at the Museum of Flight!

Leaving aside the MIL issues, we're a little nervous about the party for two reasons. One, this is the anniversary of when Robert found out that all of Seattle customer service was being laid off (from the same company, but back in '01), and it happened shortly after their big post-holiday party. And two, last time we went to a party at the Museum of Flight, it was hubby's last day (by choice) at the company he went to after amazon's lay offs, and it was VERY weird to be there (but everyone insisted he had to go).

Hopefully there will be nothing to do with layoffs or quitting or anything like that during or after this party!

All I know is that I will have access to FOUR drink tickets (as hubby really doesn't drink) and that's going to be amusing. :upsidedow

I hope you all have fun tonight! And let's hope for fun and no bad news.pixiedust:

We have a lot in common! I have ridden the ToT a few times because my older kids love it and my dh was for awhile too scared to try it! (He doesn't like Screamin' either!) Anyway he finally rode ToT after his 7 yr old son dared him and now he loves it! Thank God so now I don't have to ride it anymore. I don't like the free-fall rides! Yikes!! Anything else is game. Although I find Pirates a little boring. I usually close my eyes for a short nap on that one - although lately I don't usually ride because it scares the crap out of my 3 yr old!:lmao:
And the Sun Wheel is great! For a while it was the ONLY thing we could get my autistic son on - he LOVED it! :rotfl2: He loves huge swinging motions!

That will be nice. :thumbsup2
I am being lazy right now. I cleaned all morning long, so I'm taking a break and waiting for Ruben to bring home some things from Sam's Club. Have fun at Target! I love it there.

Tower of Terror:scared1::scared: :scared:

I am afraid of falling...so both of those FREAK me out. When I rode TOT at WDW, I literally almost started crying when the drops started.

That will be nice. :thumbsup2

Good for you! I should be cleaning. But nah.

You and my DH would get along. HE loves those movies. I saw the first one in the theater years ago and it scared the poopy out of me.:scared:

Sun wheel?? Aye! That is another one that is no fun for this chick. The ones that move back and forth are so scary! thinking you are going to die is no fun.:rotfl:
