I go out for a couple hours this afternoon and you ladies fill up 5 pages? Good grief!

I still have to decide how many days I am getting on my hopper, but am considering going on Thursday morning to have a chance at a less crowded park.

Stacielee, I may need to have you put my name on our ressie since I may check-in ahead of you.

So, where's all the Saturday nighters? I went to the mall with my son and bought a new Wii game. So I'm on my second glass of wine while watching my family play this hilarious Rayman Raving Rabbids game.

First, I'd like to add my thanks to all of you who have planned this thing. I was along for the ride last year, and am filling that spot again this year, so THANK YOU!!!

I was born in 1961--take that you youngens!!!!! I had my DD8 when I was just turning 39, so young kid, old woman!!!

First concert was Billy Joel. Most recent 3 have been the Wiggles, sad, yes!!!

I am a RIDE person as well. I ride all of them many times. I can only do Star Tours once, and about twice on Screaming activates my queasometer, but ToT--one day I will beat my record of 9 rides in about an hour!!!!

I also like doing other stuff, seeing characters, etc, I am just not generally one for the dining experience, unless there is a character to squeeze, or at least take a candid photo op of a character butt!!!

So, SM and Tot are favorites, will ride Maliboomer many times, even go in the Tiki room if pressed!!

I just like to DO!!!!!!!!!
And, by the by..am I the only one who works on Satrudays? (Cheryl...guess you were at work too). Can't keep up!!!

AmySue!!!!

I meant to go tiara shopping today...forgot.

Might be at Dl tomorrow!!!!!!!!!HUrrah!:cheer2: :cheer2:

Hmmmm, since everyone else seems to have a life and is having fun on a Saturday evening, I'll fill in some blanks:

Born in 1969 (turning 40 on March 11th this year). Seems like quite a few of us are right around this age.

First concert was Beach Boys in Seattle when I was about 8 years old. Also have seen Prince & Sheila E., George Michael, Berlin, Billy Joel (twice), Elton John, Jimmy Buffet, Amy Grant, Russ Taff, and many other Christan artists, Hootie & the Blowfish. Not a concert goer at all now. You can't PAY me to go to a concert. I don't do crowds or noise like that anymore.

I love Screamin and ToT and any fast and trilling ride. Never been on Maliboomer, but might be talked into it this trip. HATE the "Pure Evil" that is the Sunwheel. Thank God it will be closed when we are there.

Like Callie said, you are a VERY chatty group!!

Debra and I are scheduled to land in Orange County at 1:49pm on Thursday. I'm not sure what Deb has planned, but I was planning on hitting the parks and getting in as many rides as I can before the pizza party. I figured Thursday would be our best day for lower crowds and more ride time.:hyper: :cool1: :hyper:

Do you or any of the other ladies want to meet up somewhere Thursday afternoon and hit some rides? :cheer2: ::yes::

Definitely on Thursday! Heather, January and I get in at about 11:30am, and we're riding with Tina & her mom to the Hojo's, then going to lunch at Ariel's at 2pm. For those not going to Ariel's (Callie!!!), we should give you our passes so you can get PH for us. Okay???

My first concert was Debbie Gibson.:thumbsup2 1988. I was 11 years old.

Ride person over here!:wave2:

I was born in 1977. :goodvibes

Good! Someone else go to on the rides with!!

I'm feeling older as the posts are added...

1970

1975 for me:cheer2:

I've never been on the Subs themselves--with my knees didn't want to deal with the stairs. So I've done the Observation Room alternative--which is cute, but . . . . just "ok"

Space? :crazy2:

Oh come on, Cheryl! You went on TOT and BTMRR!!! You can do anything now!

I love almost all the rides except:

Tower of Terror - rode it once. Probably won't ride it again, unless I'm feeling really crazy.

And that drop tower thing on the pier - NO WAY!

Everything else I love to ride. (Even the Sun Wheel, although I've heard many others call it various names of 'death' or 'evil'. It's certainly not my favorite ride or anything. Really it's kinda boring, and I sure as heck wouldn't wait very long in line to ride it. Funny how those swinging gondolas don't bother me......although I wouldn't want to be riding it and then all of a sudden an earthquake hit. :lmao: )

That will be nice. :thumbsup2
I am being lazy right now. I cleaned all morning long, so I'm taking a break and waiting for Ruben to bring home some things from Sam's Club. Have fun at Target! I love it there.

:scared:
On a side note, I love those Final Destination movies. :thumbsup2

Those movies are AWFUL!! Have you ever seen Ghost Ship? That movie gave me nightmares, and I only saw the beginning!! :scared:

I just had to take a minute to say thank you to everyone of you who is helping out with this trip. I was thinking how smoothly all the plans are going so far, and I know it's going to be a great trip because each of you has contributed to it in some way.

I want to thank those who helped make dining reservations:
Theresa, Mary Jo, Steph, Capri, Debra, and Stacie.

I want to thank those who are booking the tours:
Stacie, Linda, and Tracey.

I want to thank those who are planning the pizza party :
Cheryl, Michelle, and Stacie.

I want to thank those who are doing important and fun things such as the tote exchange, the lanyards, photopass, the phone cards, the hunt and some secret things! So thank you Jane, Jen, Stacie, Callie (and her DH), Stacie, January, Melody, Wendy and Dawn.

And last but not least, thank you to each one of you who have signed up to go and have participated here on the thread and added your thoughts, ideas, opinions and excitement!!

It's going to be a blast and I cannot wait for March! Whooooo hooooo!!!

thank-you-101.gif

You are the fearless leader, we all bow to your awesomeness!! :goodvibes :goodvibes

I probably should call and put Heather on it, too. Although she did call and make sure we're getting the Ent. rate on Sunday night.

We just got the Wii Fit yesterday! What a blast! Hey, when are we going to play Mario Kart?!?

First, I'd like to add my thanks to all of you who have planned this thing. I was along for the ride last year, and am filling that spot again this year, so THANK YOU!!!

I will ride anything! I did the Maliboomer a couple of weekends ago, and it actually wasn't so bad. I was laughing alot so maybe that's why I wasn't too scared! :scared: But I do tend to get bored with the slower rides. I know, they're classics, but I want fast!!

I won't be going to the princess meal that day, so I'd be more than happy to do so. I might have to leave a bit early to get things going for the party, but I'm sure I'll be available for most of the afternoon.

You mean you want me to be your FP runner while you royally dine with the princesses? Ummm. . . I'll have to think about that. :scratchin ;)

Sorry, but I STINK at Mario Kart and won't subject myself to playing wirelessly just so I can prove how bad I truly am. :drive:

So, you gonna go on Maliboomer with me?? My dh will be shocked if I actually follow through with it. I'm seriously skeered of heights. :scared:

Of course I'll go on it with you, providing that we don't both chicken out!!

And yes, I'll allow you to be our FP runner!!! What else would you be doing ?;)

Check your PM's in a minute...

So, I already posted my birthday, but I wanted to follow up with concert and ride info.

My first real concert was Milli Vanilli and Young MC my freshman year of high school, so 1989. It was followed a few weeks later by NKOTB. However duirng summers between later in high school and college I worked at an outdoor concert venue (Blossom Music Center outside of Cleveland, OH) so I have seen literally hundreds of concerts. Lots of them stand out for different reasons, but my all around all time favorite is Jimmy Buffett. I have seen him at least 10 times and I love the shared experience with the rest of the audience--it is so much more than just a concert, it's a carnival!

Growing up in Ohio close to several amusement parks including the world famous Cedar Point, I am an adreline junkie! At DLR I used to be an E ticket commando, but since Ty was born I have become a character greeter/stalker and carousel horse wrangler. So, I am looking forward to doing things I have never done at DL before like the Billies and Aladdin AND getting to ride E tickets with people I know rather than just using the single rider line. The only 2 rides I won't do are Mullholland Madness (rode it once and did not enjoy it) and the Teacups--because I do not think that puking equals fun times!

I have never been on GRR and I have only done Splash once because I don't think that walking around in wet clothes is fun either, but I will pack a poncho for the March trip as I have been told by Beth that not riding those two rides is not a option!

On the last mini-meet in Oct. we went on the Haunted Tour, which included the Tower of Terror--Wendy, Stacielee and some others insisted I had to go on it. Yikes. When the picture was taken they're all "whoo hoo-" with their hands up in the air. I was hanging on for dear life!

That was me too when we did ToT as a group, they were all on their cell phones and I was holding on.:scared1:

I am afraid I am the oldest one. :sad1:
I was born in 1960, late 1960 if that helps. I just turned 48. How sad for me.

Beth, you are the one who needs to be thanked. You have pulled it all together and keep us all on track.:thumbsup2 You're the best!:grouphug:

I am so ready for our trip too! But no TOT for me. I was with the mini group in Oct and was like Cheryl. Holding on for dear life, only there is nothing to hold onto! Except maybe your neighbors leg! It's true, the others were all posing for the pic and Cheryl and I looking like life was over as we knew it.

Hey, not of your peer group, but I grew up in North Canton Ohio!! Grew up at Blossom, Sea World and Cedar Point, and an occassional trip to Geauga Lake!!!

I went to OSU for a long long time, so hit King's Island a lot too!!!

I've been in San Diego for 13 years, but am still an Ohioan to the bone!!!

Thanks for being a pinch older than me, somehow makes me feel better!!!

We can always bring up the rear with our walkers!!!!

:) AmySue

I just turned 30 in December. There are days that I feel like I am and there are days that I feel younger.

My first real concert was NKOTB.

Thanks to everyone that has been in on the planning of this trip.

How fun! I grew up in Cuyahoga Falls, and we always would go down to Belden Village to hit the Disney Store! My parents and two of my three siblings are still in the Falls, so it is still home to me too, although I haven't lived in Ohio for 8 years.

We were season passholders at Sea World growing up and I cried like a baby when it got sold. I went once during the time that Six Flags was trying to run the super park a few years back now, but it wasn't the same. And now, Geauga Lake is nothing but a water park--they sold all the rides at the end of last summer.

Oh, and like all good Northeastern Ohioans, the Buckeyes are my favorite football team. Growing up with Cleveland professional sports teams of the 80s and 90s, the Buckeyes gave me something to actually cheer for!

I was born in 1985. :rolleyes1

My first concert was 311 with Sugar Ray.

Did I just make anyone feel REALLY old? :rotfl:

I can't believe how close the trip is. The days are going by scary fast.

boy it's been busy around here. it doesn't help that I haven't been able to read posts in several days. Trying to catch up now, and hoping Jane and Beth will fill me in on anything I miss tomorrow during our much-needed get together.

And I can't believe the trip is coming sooooo soon! I am very excited but really need to save some cash..lol.

Oh, and I was born in 1972, first concert was the Jackson's Victory Tour at Madison Square Garden in NYC!!

Beth--none of this would be possible if it weren't for you--and even now you keep us on the straight and narrow, or er, whatever.

Might be at Dl tomorrow!!!!!!!!!HUrrah!:cheer2: :cheer2:

If you are (and maybe Stacerita has already told you) the pizza party committee is meeting at 9:30 a.m. at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express!

So far, there's only 3 people who are older than me: Cheryl, Melody, and Amy. My first concert was Journey, Eddie Money, & Pat Benatar. What made it so memorable was the people I was with. Oh--thanks for pointing out how OLD I am.

Sigh--I love Journey and Pat Benatar. I was just thinking today that instead of YMCA I should have picked a Pat Benatar song--one of those where she's singing about how strong and awesome women are.

So, I already posted my birthday, but I wanted to follow up with concert and ride info.

My first real concert was Milli Vanilli and Young MC my freshman year of high school, so 1989. It was followed a few weeks later by NKOTB.

Was that before or after Milli Vanilli were outed as fakes? LOL

And it took me awhile to figure out what NKOTB was--but I got it! :thumbsup2

I am afraid I am the oldest one. :sad1:
I was born in 1960, late 1960 if that helps. I just turned 48. How sad for me.

Ummm--hellllooooooooo---one of us was born in 1957 . . . . and it's not you. (sigh--so you're not the oldest one~)

I just turned 30 in December. There are days that I feel like I am and there are days that I feel younger.

My first real concert was NKOTB.

Man--I didn't realize NKOTB were that popular.

One of my biggest regrets is that I never got to see the Monkees in person--LOL. That Davy Jones--now there was a man!
