Okay, I've kinda been watching the weather. Yesterday, it showed Thursday-Sunday in the mid 60's everyday, and 10% chance of rain on Thursday & Friday, 0% chance on Saturday & Sunday. Now it shows Friday with 40% chance and Saturday with 30% chance!!

I have a whole stack here at my house but they aren't small, do you still want one?

I think it's a very specific box - small flat rate box - but I've got one coming now, so thanks!!!

I'm starting a t-shirt cutting revolution! Why don't you all do it first, and let me know how it goes and if you have any tips! :thumbsup2 :rolleyes1

I'm waiting to hear how it goes for you :thumbsup2

As for the t-shirts, uh, no. You're the guinea pig for this one, YOU let us know how it goes.

I agree - she has to try it first...... But it does look very cute and I'm interested

The weather has been all over the place since I started watching out..... Anywhere from low 60s to mid 70s, rain, no rain... I say be prepared for anything and hopefully it will all be great :)

(I do that all the time!)

:rotfl2:

Good one! :lmao: I just wanted to personalize mine since I am the newcomer here. I'm off to look for a brown T and to hit the post office for the box.

Great packing list - to be really safe, pack the nail clippers etc. in your checked luggage.

The good thing about any rain is it will keep park attendance low. We are having weird swings - I see that it will be 79 at DL today but 61 is the high (with rain) for Wed. Thurs is sun and some clouds and 64. So go for layers (maybe I will get a long-sleeved brown T-shirt)....

Lipgloss, probably yes, lipstick & chapstick, no. I've never put them in my ziploc. This is what I usually have in my bag: shampoo, conditioner, face cleanser, face toner, daytime face moisturizer, nighttime face moisturizer, sanitizer, hand lotion, lip gloss, hair gel/mousse, hair spray, is that it? I feel like I'm forgetting something. Like I said, my bag is usually FULL! And you can only have 1 bag, and it has to be 1-quart size, no bigger.

As for the t-shirts, uh, no. You're the guinea pig for this one, YOU let us know how it goes.

OK, thanks! How about deodorant? It's the soft kind that comes up through holes.

I'm almost to the point of cutting! Watch the boys wake up just when I'm starting. pirate:

I cut a tee of Noelle's into a v-neck for her 80's Halloween costume. I cut the sleeves shorter too. It turned out great. I'd only suggest using very sharp scissors. Other then that it was easy. :confused3

I have fabric scissors since I sew, so, I should be good. Thanks for the tip!

Yuck! The 60's sound wonderful, but rain...yuck! Maybe it will hit on the other side of town. :3dglasses (Does it even rain like that in CA? I know here in Tucson if they say 10% rain, usually 10% of the town sees rain.)

I'm waiting to hear how it goes for you :thumbsup2

Hey now, no need to roll your eyes at ME!

OK, I'll go first! If all else fails, I'll wear my other white shirt, and pin the tink part to the front for the pic! :thumbsup2 I think it will be fine though, and I'm actually excited about it!

I started replying a couple hours ago, but then my connection went floopy and then we had to go out on errands, so forgive if these are a bit out of date, LOL.

I wear mineral makeup, and so have little jars of powders. They won't fuss at me carrying these on will they? I think it's only liquids they are suspicious of, but I thought I'd check with you all to see if anyone knows.

It's a common question on the transportation forum. Mineral makeup is fine. You might want to put it in a bag just so they can pull out the bag if they get nervous when they see it on their xray machine monitor, but don't put it in the baggie for the liquids.

As for chapstick and lipstick, I believe those are like deodorants...considered solids...but what do I know, I put EVERYTHING into my 311 bag, b/c it's easier for me to find later. I won't be putting my ELF mineral stuff in the baggie though, b/c I'm finally going to be brave and put my under 3 ounce but huge and heavy jar of hair goop in my baggie. I haven't before b/c the jar is so big, but the ounces are right there, under 3... Lip gloss I would always put into the baggie.

I just became aware of this during breakfast today, but it's lent.

Will anyone have challenges with our Friday dining schedule due to Lent and not eating meat?

Anyone with troubles can just follow what I'm eating, since I'm veggie. :)

So I'm working on shrinking down the daily schedules from the first page. Let me know if you all are interested in this so I can make one for everyone going.

Steph

I would love one!

Now I'm feeling like I'm the only one not bringing something for people...how embarrassing!

We are wanting to do some days in San Diego (zoo, sea world, downtime day), a day at Legoland, and then 2-3 days at DLR. Any tips? Best hotel for little ones? I like the looks of the HOmewood suites at Liberty Station in San Diego. They are building a Nick hotel also, but I don't know when it will be up. I think we will do Legoland as a drive through...leave our San Diego hotel early, go to Legoland, then check in at the HoJo that night. What do you think of that plan?

Thanks y'all!

Going to Legoland on the way up is a good idea, b/c it's on the way! And you'll be so tired out you won't be tempted to bring the littles into DLR the night you get in. :)

You'll want to check out the So Cal City Pass, and you might check out the GO card, depending on what else you might want to do in San Diego. If just Legoland it might not be worth it, because it's a pre-paid, one-price-per-day card...if you do more than one thing in a day it can bring your cost down... And you also might want to look at SeaWorld's site, if you think maybe you might like it enough to go more than one day (we have gone twice in one SD trip), because they often have BOGO passes, and even "buy one day get the whole year free" passes as well. We had one of those from Dec '07 through Dec '08...I think we "only" got 3 days there that year+, but since we only paid for ONE day, it was a bargain!

PYour mom will be getting excellent care however it is so important that You *must* rest and take care of yourself.

So so true.

If it's the gel kind of deodorant, then yes, it should go in the bag.

Waiting for pictures of the shirt...... not very patiently, I might add! :rolleyes1

I jinxed myself, the boys woke up. Once I get them settled with their late lunch, I'm going to do it! Somehow that seems a little inappropriate to shout out in public! :rotfl:
What's the big deal? Give 'em some cookies and/or a donut, pop in a cartoon and get on with it. :thumbsup2

Kidding of course! Good luck with the cutting. I'll check back later. I'm off to, well......to do nothing. I woke up at 5:28 this morning and am now too lazy/sleepy to do any of the things I should be doing. Like packing or making lists.

T-Shirt cutting update:

The boys are eating a nutrient rich meal, and watching Blue's Clues. I'm off to cut!

Now, if you want pics, you'll have to wait until later tonight, because I have to wash it again to get the edges to curl.

Go watch Cars, make dinner, and fold a load of laundry. I should have pics ready by the time you're done with that!

Alrighty then, I'll check back in later. DH and I are going to the hockey game tonight; hopefully the Phoenix Coyotes can do something better than what they have been doing!!

WwwwwwwwwwOooooooooooooWwwwwwwwww! :scared1: :worship:

Oh, Stacerita, Dawn and Cheryl. I am so sorry for all of you. And Cheryl, don't you feel less than the 100% awesome daughter you are. Sending hugs and pixie dust to everyone.:grouphug:

DD & I are running errands today. We are both so excited for the trip. Thanks to everyone who offered up a spot in their room for me - I called Hojo's and added Sunday, spoke with Jessica, she was very nice. :flower3:

I hope it doesn't rain! :sad2:

I have to find a jacket today, something light but a zip up because pull over hoodies mess up your hair and it's such a struggle to get it off when you're on a ride or something.

Hmmmmm, I'm Catholic, but not really a practicing Catholic........so I guess I'll probably eat meat.....especially considering that I ate meat yesterday. Ooops. :rolleyes1

What's the penence for eating meat on a Friday during Lent?

No offense to practicing Catholics (I'm a former Catholic).

HoLa Chicas How is everyone doing?

Has anyone heard from CheryL..she's been on my mind all day.:guilty:

I'm not going to have all the matching shirts.. Only the tinkerbell one.

HHhmmm... for those who are not checking luggage..be careful with taking perfume through. Last trip i watched HLS take away a little old ladies bottle of perfume and felt so bad for her.

I can't believe that our trip is nearly here. It's mixed with great happiness and some sadness that we might all lose touch. Is there a place we can start another thread to keep in touch? I've seen such threads on the community forum of Disboards.
