Cheryl I am very sorry to hear about your mom but the others are right. Don't blame yourself. This could have happened anywhere. You and your mom will be in my prayers. ((hugs))

Is there anyone local who is able to stop by a post office and bring a small box flat rate USPS box for me?? :flower3:

Cheryl - Sorry to hear about your mom. I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers. Don't blame yourself. Things happen.

Happy Birthday Debra!

So today we have to pick up Selena's pre-ordered Girl Scout cookies. Josh and I purchased 10 boxes but neither of us want them in the house :rotfl: . So I'm thinking of bringing several boxes with me to the trip. The rest I'm just going to hand out to people at my work. Hope you all don't mind cookies in addition to the candy bar....;)

steph

I have just one box of thin mints in the house and it's taking all of my will power to stay away from them. No more cookies in the house!:rotfl: Thanks for the offer, though. :goodvibes

Cheryl,
I'm so very sorry about your Mom! Seriously, call me on my cell if you want to have company sitting at the hospital today/tomorrow. I'm pretty open. I know how alone that feels. And, if you need Stacie and I (see how I also volunteer Stacie?! :rotfl: ) to cover anything for the Pizza Party, I'd be happy to take that off your shoulders.

Stacie,
I'm so glad to hear about your BFF's daughter. When we were in law school, one of our friends' sons had the same things. Really scary at the time, but you'd never guess anything at all now. He's Ethan's age.

I wanted to let you all know I'm trying to make cards that will have our daily schedules on them this way we all don't have to carry lots of papers through the parks. My idea is to make the cards double sided and then punch a whole in them so we can put them on our lanyards.

So I'm working on shrinking down the daily schedules from the first page. Let me know if you all are interested in this so I can make one for everyone going.

Steph

I hate to be a pest, and maybe none of you know the answer to my question, but I'm going to ask again.

I really want to pack today, and am worried that the security at the airport will have a problem with my mineral makeup. It is powder in little jars. Does anyone have any experience with this? The TSA website just talks about liquids and the 3-1-1 rule.

Thanks so much ladies!

Hope you all have a nice day, talk to you later.

How nice of you to make a schedule card for us! I would love one. :lovestruc

Oh, and as far as the cookies go, I have a feeling we'll be seeing lots of them. I think I've heard some other ladies mention bringing some. I'm sur ein our disney/jello shot dilirium, we will eat them. :rolleyes1

Heather, I know both Stacielee and I use the same mineral make-up (Everyday Minerals). We had no problems taking it on a carry-on last year.

Steph, I would love a set of schedule cards! Thank you for doing this! :goodvibes

BTW, how did your dd do with her braces the other day? Is she adjusting to them well?

I would also love a schedule card... thanks for offering to put this together for everyone Steph!

Thanks Callie! Good to know. I wear a combination of Aromaleigh and Bare Escentuals. My skin hates BE, and my eyes hate anything that's not BE! I'm wierd, I know...

Oh, and Linda, I know I wouldn't mind if you wanted to shack up with Stacie and I Sunday night. Good suggestion Callie! :thumbsup2

It's like crack, but now that our trip is so close, I'm looking into booking my next trip! I want to take the fam in December. I wanted to this past December, but when we decided to stay out here in Tucson for another year and a half, we decided to wait a year. This way, Nolan will be almost 2, and I think he will get more out of the trip.

We are wanting to do some days in San Diego (zoo, sea world, downtime day), a day at Legoland, and then 2-3 days at DLR. Any tips? Best hotel for little ones? I like the looks of the HOmewood suites at Liberty Station in San Diego. They are building a Nick hotel also, but I don't know when it will be up. I think we will do Legoland as a drive through...leave our San Diego hotel early, go to Legoland, then check in at the HoJo that night. What do you think of that plan?

Thanks y'all!

Cheryl, I am so sorry about your mom. I hope everything goes well with surgery and everything. My thoughts & prayers are with you and your mom.

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE BIRTHDAY WISHES!!

Thin mints are my favorite!!

I think it s/b fine as long as you put it in a Ziploc. We always travel with medical supplies for my DS and always take a letter from his doc. We have never been asked once about it - and we carry syringes :scared1:

Steph

Steph,

I would love a schedule card! Thanks for doing that!

Becci :)

Steph I too would love one. Thank you so much for your thoughtful idea!!

Time to catch up again... I went to see Chris Tomlin last night, AWESOME!!! And I watched the Ub Iwerks story the other night, so interesting!!

I think the cell phone charger is smart thinking! I have it on my list...so hopefully I can remember it. It seems to be one of the things I usually forget. Probably because it hardly moves from the outlet is in plugged into.

I also had the pleasure of buying feminine products ;) for $10 at Coronado Springs when I was at the WDW ladies trip. I think there were 8 in the box. so, I would definitely pack some of those, regardless if it is that time. You just never know.

January, I think you were the one who posted the packing list quite awhile ago, any chance you could post it again? I have a master list, but want to make sure I don't forget anything. And I'm pretty sure AF is visiting me next week--great fun!!

Ok, so I have to share a secret. When I bought my shirts at WalMart I was very puffy from PMS and I hated how I looked in them, so I bought myself one of those lycra fitted tanks to go underneath to smooth out all the rolls. I swear they do wonders! :thumbsup2

Did you get the tanks at Walmart? I think I need some of those!!

I have not dumped Sunday's room.

Ok ladies, now I really need prayers and pixie dust--big time...

 Obviously we're all good prayers so I'll get right on that! Let us know how she does today.

Well, I have today off, and then I work three days, and then it's our trip!!!! :dance3:  :rotfl: :cool1: :yay: :cheer2: :rotfl2:

I'm going to start packing today! That always makes me excited.

Me too!! And like Callie said, the makeup is good just in the suitcase. One thing you should do ahead of time is get all the little liquid bottles in the small size ziploc before getting to the airport and put it in the front zipper pocket of your suitcase (if you have one), or someplace where it's easy to get to. Then when you get to security, you just pull it out, get it scanned, and put it back. And you also know ahead of time that everything will fit. Last time, my ziploc bag was packed as full as it could get without popping open.

Linda, just a suggestion, but I am leaving on Sunday evening and my roommates (Heather and Stacielee) will be short one roomie. You may want to check with them to see if you can stay with them.

Good idea! Let us know if you want to do that, Linda.

Have you looked at getting a Southern California City Pass? They have them for a discounted price at Costco.

Only 5 more days!!! :dance3: :cool1:   :cool1: :dance3:

Id love one of those. I was trying to figure out how I am gonna remember everything or what I am gonna take to keep me on schedule. Thanks!

Poor CheryL!
Ohmygosh, that was a *horrible* experience.
There comes a time when your parents feel like your children, responsibility wise. It's a real challenge.

CheryL, You did nothing wrong. In fact You did things so right by making special plans for You and Your mother to share. *TIGHT Hugs* It's not your fault.

If You need me to i could hop on a plane and be there to help you. Make a list of the things you need to preplan for your mother returning home.

A support staff for her at home, day/night, home, a portable bathroom chair, will she be able to get in and out of bed, or does she need a hospital bed? Pad Packs to go under her hips, extra support pillows.

I'm so worried about *you*.. Your mom will be getting excellent care however it is so important that You *must* rest and take care of yourself.
