Me being Miss Klutz (which I am) was when we were talking about all sleeping in the new Pirate suite at Hojos and somehow Debbie and I got pegged for the bunk beds and were fighting over who would be on the top bunk cause we both feel we would fall off (especially with rum drinks involved). Hence, her tag about being on top and me being a klutz.
Theresa, less than two months until my Alaska Cruise. I still need to get some ideas for things to do on our Vancouver day. From what I have read I am thinking Granville, Stanley Park. Grouse Mtn sounds really fun with a lot to do?
Gotcha!!
Do you mean Granville Island or Granville Street?? Most people mean Granville Island - which has some cute shops and stuff. Stanley Park is great - has some nice trails and such. The aquarium is fun (and a bit spendy), but nothing huge. They have the Fish House in Stanley Park which is a fab restaurant the the executive chef there is Karen Barnaby - very cool

Grouse Mountain is in North Vancouver and if you're going there, you have to see the Capilaino Suspension Bridge (not me though - I'm a wuss with heights

The other thing I love to do with visitors (if you have a whole day) is the Vancouver Trolley Tour. Tickets are fairly reasonable (around $35 Canadian - so like $2 US, right????), and you can hop on and off at 24 different stops, including Stanley Park, China Town (Dr. Sun Yen-Sat Gardens), Granville Island, Gas Town (you have to go to Gas Town!) etc. It does stop at several hotels. You mentioned you were staying at the Sheraton Wall Centre, right? That's on the route. The website is vancouvertrolley.com
If I had money to spend, I could spend nearly the whole day on Granville. Only thing I've done at the park is the aquarium, which is pretty good, but $$$. I love Vancouver, so when we had our cruise, we went up more than a day early and stayed a day late, just b/c we love it so much.![]()
Vancouver is great
