I had four girls to entertain for a sleepover. I picked them up late Thursday afternoon and then we did a couple errands, picked up Charlie & the Chocolate factory (the original version) because it's absolutely one of my all-time favorite movies, ever. We didn't all get to sleep until after 1am. Friday morning we had breakfast and I helped the youngest, Kristina, sew a bag to carry her DS in but sadly my little sister's singer machine is cheap and doesn't sew very well. Then we got dressed, grabbed lunch at Subway and headed to the dog park. It had just rained so our pants were all wet at the bottom and Osita just about started a fight with two smaller dogs and I just don't know why :confused3 But hackles were raised and teether were showing. Osita did not have the body language that she was going to attack though, she just kept barking (she likes to go up to dogs and park at them, hoping they'll chase her around) but one of the dogs was threatening to go at her. So they left and I put her down so she would calm down. Ugh, dogs!

We came home, threw my and Kristina's pants in the dryer. Somehow Anais and Cynthia's didn't get wet (probably because they were high-waters:laughing:) and relaxed until we went to our Good Friday service at our Pastor's house. It was short but good and then we had a potluck.

TOO.MUCH.FOOD.

Now I'm here avoiding any housework because it's Saturday, my last day to do nothing. Tomorrow we are going to church as usual and then off to my grandma's house for good food, games, and ultimate lounging.

So I probably won't be getting on tomorrow until late so I thought I'd wish everyone a Happy Resurrection Day! :goodvibes

We finally finished reading Harry Potter: The Deathly Hallows last night.

So I give the world permission to talk about the book now.

:upsidedow

(I've been shushing people and averting my eyes since a day after the book came out; figured I'd let the universe know)

LOL--was that the last book? My dirty secret--I just didn't have the time or inclination to read the whole thing, so just read the last chapter!! (I know--evil.)

My other dirty little secret--when I was in Florida I started listening to this country music station in the rental car that I really liked--there's nothing like it here. So, I just found it on the Internet and am listening to it. (Of course, I keep confusing myself because they say--"chance of rain" and I'm like--what? there's no clouds!)

Now that the series is finished I feel sad cause there is no new book to look forward to but I am really excited about this upcoming movie
:thumbsup2

I dont' think anyone likes that. Just saying.

I guess your right ;).

By the way, love the new footsies tag!!! :lmao: The tag fairy is really on the ball lately. Gotta watch what you say around here. ;)

OMG~ I didn't even notice. That's how out of it I am right now.

I'm off to suck more boogies. The baby sounds like she has emphazima. Well at least she's not old enough to stick them in her mouth yet

. YUCK!!

Tina - new tags :thumbsup2

ACK - my blinky star tag was taken away!!! NOOOOOO - I want my star back!

Omigosh! Thank you Tag Fairy--I am SOOO glad to lose my tag trumpeting my almost defeat at MouseAdventure!

I think. . . . .

Ack! We have hail! In Tucson! In April! What happened to global warming? I'm scared it's going to wake the boys up....

I love everyone's new tags. :lmao:

We are having a lazy day here.
DH is watching golf and I did a little housework.

I love everyone's new tags, too!

Kelly, so glad you had a nice trip in spite of the Lynn-drama. One of my favorite things about the parks are all the beautiful flowers. I love your pix of the girls. So cute.:cutie:

OMG! My tags are new, too!
The one about not allowed to wear pants refers to when we were talking about clothes we wore in jr high and high school and Trudi and I commented we weren't even allowed to wear pants until HS. Holy Moly.

I love the pic Cristabel got of Osita (we are calling it Osita;)) licking the smiley.

Wow, the Tag Fairy is working overtime!! Thanks TF, I love my new tags!!!!!:cool1:

Nice :thumbsup2 And the Miss Klutz????

Me being Miss Klutz (which I am) was when we were talking about all sleeping in the new Pirate suite at Hojos and somehow Debbie and I got pegged for the bunk beds and were fighting over who would be on the top bunk cause we both feel we would fall off (especially with rum drinks involved:sad2:). Hence, her tag about being on top and me being a klutz.:thumbsup2

Theresa, less than two months until my Alaska Cruise. I still need to get some ideas for things to do on our Vancouver day. From what I have read I am thinking Granville, Stanley Park. Grouse Mtn sounds really fun with a lot to do?

Good afternoon everyone! :goodvibes

I actually slept in today and it was SO nice! Of course, I put myself into a chocolate coma last night, so that might have had something to do with it.

Beth- I saw that TV show you were talking about. I think you just like it 'cause everyone seems to be running around in their knickers all the time. :rolleyes1

Kelly - Looks like you had a great time at Disneyland! The girls look so happy. That's too bad you had to deal with that drama while you were there.

I'm absolutely lovin' all the new tags. Great job Tag Fairy!!!

I'm sure there was more I wanted to say, but I have a box of chocolate that needs to be finished...

Have a great day!

Well now that you know how it ends, you should go back and read the whole thing! It's really good. JK does one weird thing in it (suddenly calls the students Hogwartians) and perhaps talks about "turning on the spot" one too many times (and not always when referring to apparating), but other than that, a tear-jerker and exciting book.

I will mention that I read the British version, so the words might be different in the American version...

While reading DH to, um, DH, we realized that although we bought Order of the Phoenix, we've not actually SEEN the movie. Just never enough time with DS! So i can't even get excited about the upcoming movie until I've seen the last one!

If I had money to spend, I could spend nearly the whole day on Granville. Only thing I've done at the park is the aquarium, which is pretty good, but $$$. I love Vancouver, so when we had our cruise, we went up more than a day early and stayed a day late, just b/c we love it so much. :goodvibes

We just went out to a farmer's market where DS was able to fulfill his need for goat cheese. I put it on his plate with some crackers just now, and he smelled it and said "I just loooove the smell, I'm like Remy!", which was funny.

Before we came home we went to the library, and now we're settling in to watch the 45th anniv edition DVD of Mary Poppins.

Anyone out there use C++? Any helpful hints for learning it FAST? Robert's in a, um, situation at work and NEEDS to have it in his head inside a month. I just checked out about 7 books, even the "for dummies" edition, but if anyone knows of any very good, simple C++ books, I'd be happy for the recommendation. Heck, I'd pay airfare and provide room and board if you'd come out and teach it to him!

Tours
VIP is $75 per person and requires 6 hours. Very nice if done right but I do not want to risk the last fiasco but it would be nice if we could get a super deluxe tour. I do think though Walk in Walt is just as good. I want to do VIP but there is not guarantee and they should have made the trip special in some way as the CM surely was not worth $125 an hour and was not paid that much and the meal was surely not over $10 a person so where does all the money go?

Welcome to Disneyland Tour Is only $25 and with discount for AP is only $20.
Discover the Magic Tour is not worth it at $47.20 with discount.

"A Walk in Walt's Footsteps" Tour
also is $47.20 with discount and you can sign me up right now.:woohoo:

Tag Fairy
OMG that is awesome and I am crying. OMG and that was me being a bit stubborn or SID or both when I said that the Mickey will be the Sun Wheel forever like the skyway is always going to be the buckets to me. Wow this os awesome. Someone really been watching us. I been lucky to not get my panties and other laundry aired in public.:lmao: WDW and DLR expert, not really but thanks for the ego stroking. A while back someone from another site came over to disAbilities and said I know nothing about WDW even though I have helped many people with WDW info. Been down since then and feeling like I know nothing. Wow what an ego boost, thanks Tag Fairy.
Wow what tags:cloud9:, I am so lucky and need to take the Tag Fairy:love: to lunch.:hug:
I will bring some powder so I can see the invisible Tag Fairy.:lmao:

I just noticed it myself!
Thank you Tag Fairy, you are so awesome!
