Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

I don't mind doing it again, I would enjoy it, actually. But, if there's others who want to join, I'll step down. I would think I wouldn't have trouble doing the scavenger hunt and mixer. And, I was thinking scavenger hunt to give the lovely ladies who planned it this year a chance to enjoy the game instead of having to sit it out.

Look at you! Multi-tasking. lol Thanks for the offer, but looks like we are set now. So you can focus on making a kick-butt scavenger hunt with Cheryl, Dawn and Wendy.
Although.......not too hard, ok??

She is SOOO cute! Just wait until she's 18 and wants to run off to Africa!! Yes, a great life experience, for both her and I! I guess I'm learning to let her fly. But it's scary sometimes!!!

I think we all can't wait to get the planning going because that makes the trip more real. I am hoping Stacielee will be doing photopass again, she does such a great job at keeping it organized and all.

And her son is a cutie. I will say that only because he is 18. A few days ago, I wouldn't say it. But since his birthday, its all good.

Another theme might be... to come dressed as your favorite Disney character..
meaning if you love tink.. wear a tink t shirt and you could wear wings
or mickey t shirt and mickey ears..

And then we could do a plush stuffed animal exchange in a gift bag..

Sometimes when i go to the park i see allll these cute stuffed animals that i'd love to get but i always end up getting for my 3 grandchildren or my nephew.. and so it might be fun to get a special disney stuffed animal!

That's just an idea.

Although the christmas stocking idea is really cute. Rats.. i saw some really pretty needlepoint disney stockings after christmas that i should have picked up!

Wow just think with the after christmas sales..we can get ALOT of stuff for our $20 buckaroonies!

I know what you mean about the plushies, Dawn. I could go crazy, but then think "what am I going to do with all these stuffed animals? DH doesn't want them on our bed.". But I do have a basket of Minnies. The smallest size. I have about 14. I don't buy every one I see, only ones I can't live without. I heart Minnie. She is my favorite..

I love all these ideas you guys have. Maybe we should have two theme nights and skip the parades and fireworks one night - HA!

Hi Ladies!

I just found out information about opportunities to get a free theme park ticket for volunteering at the Disneyland 5k and 1/2 marathon. If you volunteer for 2 shifts, you can get a free theme park ticket. I think you need to be at least 12 years old to volunteer (and 15 years old to volunteer at the Expo).

As a volunteer for the 2009 Disneyland® Half Marathon Expo, Disney's Family Fun Run 5K & Kid Race, and Disneyland® Half Marathon, you will receive apparel, light snack per shift, and, if you meet the eligibility requirements, a Disneyland® theme park ticket. Theme park ticket distribution is based on minimum volunteer shifts worked. Each volunteer must work at least two volunteer shifts to be eligible for the complimentary Park admission. Each volunteer must also sign in and sign out for each shift to be eligible for the complimentary Park admission

So, you could volunteer for a couple shifts, run the 5k and have a free ticket to use on the block out day! I know people want to wake up at 4:15am to do a volunteer shift....or some 2:30am shifts are available too!!

If you can get a group of 50 to volunteer, then only 1 shift is required to get the free theme park tickets.

So far we only have 4 themes. lol If anyone has any other ideas feel free to post them.

More like 3 cooks and a busgirl. I'm not a head planner but I do throw in ideas and suggestions and do grunt work.
