Oh, and baseball, forgot to answer that one Deb.

First of all, you should know, this is only our second year of baseball. For a long time, I would not let my oldest play because he is subject to instant deafness and/or addtional hearing loss with head injury. That was such a frightening concept for so long, that I just couldn't deal with the risk. But, as boys get older and you see that they really need the physical outlet, and the comraderie, etc, you have to put those risks into perspective. So I slowly considered sports, like soccer when he was littler, but then that got too aggressive, so last year he switched to baseball. I don't let him pitch or play catcher, but other than than he has no restrictions.

So, by way of explanation, I find the whole baseball community a little shocking. They are really committed fans. I think it's sort of fun, but don't really feel it is necessary to do 5 nights a week, and I think it would be okay to not reschedule every stinkin game that get's rained out!

We have had two games rained out so far, we played our first game and we won 12-2 which made our boys and coach really happy. My son is hitting the ball and having a great time. Opening day we had a ceremony with a local Q13 news personality MCing and Andrew had a cheesy picture taken with him that made the local rag, so I will post that when I get a minute.

How's baseball going for you Deb? Don't tell me your one of those nutty baseball parents:)

wow..that's wonderful about your friends baby..may her pregnancy be blessed!

Tracey.. you stay so busy.. i wish i had your energy... next time we meet give me an extra tight hug and rub some of that energy off on me.

my asthma is really bad.. i'm on my second breathing treatment..it's the windy season here..kinda starts a roller coaster with people with who have asthma in the area.

did ya'll see the people magazine with valerie berrtinelli..wowowow.. she looks fabulous! i don't usually purchase magazines.. kinda a green change i was trying to make this year but i bought that one.. the article isn't that good but she looks supergreat!

I'll take pics of all the beautiful toes at the pj party. My own will stay in my tennies. I've never had a pedicure, and all that dancing in high heeled cowboy boots did not do my feet any favors. So, I'll spare all of you. ;)
I've never had one either. But I do my own at home so my toes aren't too horrible. At least I keep them clean! ;) I'm sure yours are just fine.

Steph - My monkey and your banana should get together! (that sounds dirty, but I did not mean it to)
Liar, you did to. :rolleyes1

Tomorrow I am doing spring crafts with my DD's grade school after school. I am the head of the schools' green team--we recycle, so tomorrow we are making caterpillars out of styrofoam peanuts and flowers out of old magazine pages. Woo--hooo, living on the edge.

I will have my fingers glued together and glitter in my eyelashes, no doubt!!

AmySUe
Sounds like fun! You'll be so pretty with the glittered eyelashes. princess: lol

Today Ty had a consult with an ENT and he will be getting tubes placed in his ears on May 1st. Hopefully that will help with his speech as well as his health (no more or at least fewer ear infections).
Oh, I hope so too! See ya soon.

For my Idol watchers, boy that dialidol was right on the money last night - they picked the three bottom and Megan was last. Do you know who was at the top?
Thank goodness Megan is gone! I'm sorry but I don't find her talented or cute at all, just annoying.
I love KAD; Kris, Adam and Danny. :lovestruc

Hey, what time are you all arriving on the 22nd in October. I think I will be there and would love to meet up with you guys. I would even watch Ty while you and hubby hit a ride together:)

Tracey
I'm going to be there in October from the 23-25. The 23rd we (my family and I) are doing the Halloween party, but the 24th (sat) Ruben and the kids are hanging at the HoJo swimming and seeing a movie in DTD with the grandparents. So I'll be in the parks on Saturday (my birthday) all alone. Hopefully someone there will want to meet up for a meal at least. And maybe some shopping since I'll have my b-day gift card to spend. :goodvibes

Totally makes up for the drug addict who spit at me and called me names I can't repeat here yesterday.
See you soon!

All the Diva's meeting today.... have a HaPpPy time!:grouphug:

Safe Travel for CheryL as she returns home today:wizard:

VintageDisneyRules...aawwww  ... my mom had one yesterday ... now days they are not as bad as they used to be.. and be sure and tell them if you are in pain.. they can always give you more pain killers.. no need in you hurting needlessly. *hugs and peaceful feelings sent to you*

Hi all, I was out all day - it was a very good day - and boy have you all been busy. Vintage Disney, someday you'll tell me what you collect. I would love to hear about it. :)

Jane, I hope the tubes help Ty. Amy, you must be exhausted each night with ER.

LOVE the photos of Beth and Kelly in past lives!! :dance3:

Cheryl, was wondering if you'd see old Bogo. They say he's spending the whole week there. How can you miss that hair?:scared1:

Dawn, how thoughtful are you!

Welcome Terrie, you sound like a lovely person.
Um... collect what? Do you mean my pins?
Stacie - sorry you are not feeling well - :rose:

Steph, you deserve a dancing banana - perfect....

You guys are so lucky to be meeting tomorrow - have a drink and think of us.:dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:

For my Idol watchers, boy that dialidol was right on the money last night - they picked the three bottom and Megan was last. Do you know who was at the top?

Um.... what collection? Do you mean my pins?

You know you're having a boring day when you're hovering over the washer eagerly waiting for the spin cycle to be over so you can toss those duds in the dryer.

Yep, I live the exciting life.:thumbsup2

Sounds better than my day.

That Wet and Wild stuff is so fun to play with, and just the right price.
Was I the only one who used to burn the tip of her eyeliner before applying it so it went on heavier and lasted longer?

Everyone I know used to carry a lighter so they can do that.

....I know Debra. There is a poster on the CB, her name is CathrynRose. Her tag used to say "I had ponytails so tight, I looked asian in all my pictures." Well, somebody here decided it wasn't PC, so they took out the word asian. The original I thought was very funny. I guess not too much offends me.:confused3

I loved that tag of hers.

And yes, MJ, you and I are the same age. I was into CW in the 80's, too! The whole Urban Cowboy era. Man, was John Travolta an icon or what? I remember having a pair of expensive white cowboy boots that I adored and wore with pride. People would shudder today! And of course I believe you were skinny, I was a skinny-minnie, too. Then in our late 20's we had our bab(ies) and moved onto other fads!

Don't worry. I keep telling people I am still carrying the baby weight from when I was preggers. I don't tell them my baby is 13 years old though.

I have been away from here for a couple of days and you all put up 20+ pages. I need to try to catch up this weekend.

I did see a few posts (not all of the details, so I apologize if I miss anything). *Hugs* Capri, I hope all is well with your father. Kelly I hope you and your family are doing well.

Since I haven't been feeling well, I have a feeling that some of you on here are also feeling ill. I'm tired of the weather going up and down (temperature wise). I hope that those feeling ill feel better soon and those that are feeling well, continue to do so.

No matter what how I'm feeling tomorrow night though I am going out with Josh....and.....no kids!!!!!!!!! I can't believe we actually have people that we trust (friends of ours who also have 3 kids) that are willing/going to watch our kids for us...We're going to watch their kids later this month. If this goes well for all of us then we're going to make this a monthly thing. I just feel like :cool1::cool1: that we're getting a date night.

Okay I'm going to start catching up now...Try not to add to many pages....please...(need a begging smilie)

steph

Have fun on your date night.

Hi everyone!! Well, I fly home tomorrow night! :sad1:

I guess former Governor Ron Blajevovoich (or however you spell it) is here at SSR -- I saw him on the news today and he was by our main pool. I haven't seen him though.

I have had a wonderful time. My birthday was fun--tea at the Grand Floridian was fab!! I spent the day at Magic Kingdom. And I got a $75 birthday fun card.

And and and .....
fairykin sent me a gift basket with champagne and cheese and chcolate and two Mickey champagne glasses!! It was such a surprise and so sweet of her.

I'll give you all a more detailed report when I'm home with a full-size keyboard. Till then hope everyone is well--I didn't read back very far so I hope everyone is well!!!

Cheryl:wizard:

Can't wait to hear all about it. And especially the tea. I've been wanting to do that for so long.

OMG Beth!!! I had the exact hairstyle in 1983, major swooping bangs. I also had a tail, you?

AMySue

YOu mean a rat tail? I remember in about 5th grade I shaved the back of my head, bleached out my bangs, and had a rat tail. I have no idea why, I just thought I looked hot.

What plans does everyone have for the weekend?
Laundry, pay bills, at least 2 grocery stores, drug store, post office and at 8 pm is Yamabuki. That is my weekend, boring. Lara and her husband saud they would meet me tonight. She works in foods as a food server and greeter.

I actually could use a bit of help in the makeup department. I deshine and mascara, anything more, I am at a loss!!

Somewhere on here I read how to make Mickey heads on your pedicures, so we could all sport fancy toes!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

And, yes Stacie, following the pedicures, I am sure we could fit in a LPF or two!!!

Amysue

Sweet!

I know, when I read about them, I thought, HOW COOL IS THAT?

Several different techniques. One involved using paintbrush handle-ends of two different sizes, dot the big one, then two small ones.

That sounds very potentially messy, great do-over potential.

The other was to use the scrapbooking little mickey head punch to make a, well, mickey head, and place it on the nail, and clear polish over it.

I think with those toes, and our tiaras, no one could EVER stop us!!!

AmySue

We will rule the world!

Hi Jane! We've missed you.:bride:

I hope all goes well with Ty and the tubes, aye aye.
Get some more rest, girl!

And yes, we are having a pajama party. I think pedicures are in order. But after a couple of cocktails I won't be any good at painting! Let's let the sober gals do that.

Deb, I heart CR, too. She is so witty, fresh and seems like a "cool" friend. Plus, she's a hairdresser and if she were our friend, would save me hundreds of $$ a year - HA! What I spend to be a beautiful blond (at least it covers the gray, right?:confused3). Not too sure about her ugly dog though, I know she thinks he is gorgeous, but I digress...

CHERYL!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip. Honestly, we COULD be sisters! Breezy and I did a lot on her BD trip in January, but the two things we are doing while staying at BLT after the cruise is: eating sushi at Cali Grill and having the afternoon tea at GF. Maybe next year you and I can go on a trip?:cutie:

I'm off to bed. Thank God tomorrow is Friday, a co-worker of mine has been out with the flu and I am extra tired from covering her desk.:upsidedow

I wish someone was doing my work for me while I've been out this week. No such luck. Its all gonna be waitiing for me when I get back.

Yay you! And I only work 9 hours! ...oh wait, that's nothing to be happy about...

But that's 9 hours of pay. Think of it like that.

Steph - My monkey and your banana should get together! (that sounds dirty, but I did not mean it to)

Very dirty. :sad2:

I just had a long post with multiquotes & lost it :headache:

Cheryl, I'm glad you're having a great time at WDW, and what a nice gift you got from Dawn. Wow. That's so special! I want details, woman, when you get back.

Steph, I hope you feel better soon. That stinks that you don't feel well. I'm glad for you & Josh that you'll be able to spend time together. Awesome. Oh, and cool banana, but I had to give a double take until I realized that those were red shorts your banana is wearing.

Kelly, I loved your pics of you back in the 80's. It's so fun to see our younger selves. I want to see more pics! I'm interested in your headache remedies as I get bad sinus headaches once a month that'll put me in bed, and only exedrin & sinus pain tablets (together) will give me any kind of relief. I'm looking forward to the day where I don't get those at all.

Linda, I had six pairs of cowboy boots back in the day - ahhh the memories.

Laurie, you were busy today. Looks like you got a lot of good information, and that was really kind of you to meet up with that young boy

Jane, have fun with Beth, Amy and Michelle tomorrow. We want details!! (Well, those you can share)

I'll take pics of all the beautiful toes at the pj party. My own will stay in my tennies. I've never had a pedicure, and all that dancing in high heeled cowboy boots did not do my feet any favors. So, I'll spare all of you. ;)

One thing I have learned, it be kind to your feet. The better you treat them now, the better they will be for you in the future.

I think soccer is a little more dangerous than baseball. Well unless you have the kids that throw the bat and not just drop it on the ground.
I can't wait to see the pic! Andrew is liking baseball then?
That's great that he is getting to play.
Although I agree watching in the rain, wind & cold is flippen crazy! If I can I sit in my car when its too bad. Our weather over here has been so crazy, I have watched a few soccer games from my car. I spent years freezin my tush off watching Jordan, that I sit in the car during Kaelebs sometimes.

I am not that bad...But our coach is. Opening day for us is April 25. The ceremony & games all darn day!! Moses Lake, is a non sports fanantic nightmare. Jordan's team practice M/T/TH, Kaeleb's team practice's T/Th/Sat. Plus we have soccer. Tuesday's practices were snowed out. Our games are not starting until the wk after Easter. So for right now, baseball is going great, just shuttling kids from this field to this field. Fun times!
But I am sure in a month I will be wishing it was all over!! Plus the fundraiser, it drives me crazy. Hopefully it will be Oberto jerky again, if not it will be candy bars. Luckily I work with hungry men who like to buy food items!

wow..that's wonderful about your friends baby..may her pregnancy be blessed!

Tracey.. you stay so busy.. i wish i had your energy... next time we meet give me an extra tight hug and rub some of that energy off on me.

She is so pretty!! I bought that one too!

Morning everyone.

Capri- LOL I am glad you enjoyed my retro pics! I thought you guys would get a laugh out of those!! And yes that girl in the 2nd row! SCARY!! What was worse was that teacher deserved that look! She was ONE mean broad! I HATED that woman. She was EVIL!!! The teacher was scary not the kid! LOL.

And Cheryl how cool what Dawn did for you and Dawn what a nice gesture! You are the sweetest!!!

And Mary Jo yeah I get the sinus headaches too. Among ALL my other headaches! I have to take like a sinus pill like Sudafed and that usually helps. It SUCKS!

Today I am just doing TONS of laundry that was STILL leftover from the spring cleaning of Lynn's room and just OUR stuff. I don't want to come back to a huge mess. Then when the girls get home from school I have to take Katy out and get her a better pair of tennis shoes. She has a pair but they are boys shoes because she had this huge growth spurt and when we bought her a pair this winter that was all we could find and they are NOT very cute and she is taking mostly capris and they don't look that great. So we are going to try and look for something a little more feminine today.

She wears a size 4 already and is having a hard time finding something that has good arch supports and yet is stylish. But anyway so today is just working round the house and then that and then we may just grab a bite cuz I usually do all my big meat shopping at sam's and we have been eating the same 4 or 5 types of meat for awhile and we are running low but yet don't want to go again since we are going out of town so the girls AND I am getting sick of the same old stuff so we may just grab a bite. Not sure.

But anyway then tomorrow is just all last minute stuff. Haircuts for Shane and possibly the girls and hopefully last minute cleaning. We have a ton of recycling that needs to be turned in and then just getting everything together cuz Sunday we leave EARLY!!!

YIPPEE!!!!!

I've been trying to get in the shower since 630, but I'd much rather catch up on the DIS! It's days like this I am sooo glad to be a salaried employee.

If I hang around long enough, I can get to the hospital just in time to check email and voicemail before I run downtown to meet my diva friends for lunch!! :cool1:

Totally makes up for the drug addict who spit at me and called me names I can't repeat here yesterday. :rotfl:I LOVE DISboards!!

Totally reminds me why I love the fact that I do not deal with patient care.

Sounds better than my day.

Everyone I know used to carry a lighter so they can do that.

Don't worry. I keep telling people I am still carrying the baby weight from when I was preggers. I don't tell them my baby is 13 years old though.

Feet really gross me out. :scared:

No, one wants to see that!!
But nice pretty feet are super nice!!
I love pedi's!!

ATTENTION!

You know who you are.
It's Friday. That means check in.

Don't make Vin Disney angry. It will not be pretty.

Good Morning Ladies!

xpwpco.jpg

I realized something today.....do NOT stand in the way of your co-workers and free food! They will devour everything faster than a pack of locusts in a corn field! :faint: I put out some candy and it all vanished in a matter of minutes. :rotfl:

Hope you all have a happy Friday! :yay:

Hi all :wave2:– I just saw your thread and you all sound like you have a lot of fun! :surfweb: I hope I’m not too late to join the party?! I would love to join you on your next Girls Only DIS trip to DL. I am thinking of talking my sister into flying out here too.

A little about me: I moved to So CA 6 months ago from Denver for my prince charming. I love living here however I don’t know anyone other than my DBF, his kids (14 yo DD and 12 yo DS) and family and I am really missing my girl friend time!! :sad1: My DBF has a two hour round trip commute and works long hours so I have a lot of free time when I’m not ‘babysitting’ the kids! I am lucky in that I can take my job anywhere but working from home doesn’t give me a lot of chances to meet people!

I met Mr. CA almost two years ago on the 4th of July in WDW. :lovestruc It was his last day and my first day so we exchanged email addresses and I really didn’t think I’d hear from him but when I got home he had already emailed and the rest is history. We traveled between CA and CO for over a year. :drive: We decided I’d move here since I have a 20 year old daughter who is attending college at ASU and nothing really to keep me in Denver. I love living close to a Disney park and I bought my AP on my first trip here to visit DBF. We go a lot together but I also go alone when I get a chance! :yay:

We were in Orlando last week, DBF had to go there to work so I tagged along and we were able to sneak in WDW Sat. and Sun.! :banana:We had a great time but believe me during the week it took everything I had to not work and go to the parks instead!

I hope you all have a great weekend! :cool2:
