ATTENTION!

You know who you are.
It's Friday. That means check in.

Don't make Vin Disney angry. It will not be pretty.

Hi all :wave2:– I just saw your thread and you all sound like you have a lot of fun! :surfweb: I hope I’m not too late to join the party?! I would love to join you on your next Girls Only DIS trip to DL. I am thinking of talking my sister into flying out here too.

A little about me: I moved to So CA 6 months ago from Denver for my prince charming. I love living here however I don’t know anyone other than my DBF, his kids (14 yo DD and 12 yo DS) and family and I am really missing my girl friend time!! :sad1: My DBF has a two hour round trip commute and works long hours so I have a lot of free time when I’m not ‘babysitting’ the kids! I am lucky in that I can take my job anywhere but working from home doesn’t give me a lot of chances to meet people!

I met Mr. CA almost two years ago on the 4th of July in WDW. :lovestruc It was his last day and my first day so we exchanged email addresses and I really didn’t think I’d hear from him but when I got home he had already emailed and the rest is history. We traveled between CA and CO for over a year. :drive: We decided I’d move here since I have a 20 year old daughter who is attending college at ASU and nothing really to keep me in Denver. I love living close to a Disney park and I bought my AP on my first trip here to visit DBF. We go a lot together but I also go alone when I get a chance! :yay:

We were in Orlando last week, DBF had to go there to work so I tagged along and we were able to sneak in WDW Sat. and Sun.! :banana:We had a great time but believe me during the week it took everything I had to not work and go to the parks instead!

I hope you all have a great weekend! :cool2:

Welcome! What a cool way to meet a man. :thumbsup2 We're a crazy group of friends, but most of us are harmless.

Hi all - can't read all the posts... quick hi.

wow..that's wonderful about your friends baby..may her pregnancy be blessed!

Tracey.. you stay so busy.. i wish i had your energy... next time we meet give me an extra tight hug and rub some of that energy off on me.

my asthma is really bad.. i'm on my second breathing treatment..it's the windy season here..kinda starts a roller coaster with people with who have asthma in the area.

did ya'll see the people magazine with valerie berrtinelli..wowowow.. she looks fabulous! i don't usually purchase magazines.. kinda a green change i was trying to make this year but i bought that one.. the article isn't that good but she looks supergreat!

Yes, she looks great. Saw a long piece several months ago about her lifestyle changes. Lots of exercise and she uses a weight vest when walking. I bought one, haven't used it yet due to heel problems, but I may be getting ready to pull it out.

Thank goodness Megan is gone! I'm sorry but I don't find her talented or cute at all, just annoying.
I love KAD; Kris, Adam and Danny. :lovestruc

See you soon!

I liked her at first (her summertime was wonderful) but she really dropped the ball. I think she missed her 2 year old. The three guys, it will be one of them - all terrific.

Um.... what collection? Do you mean my pins?

Oh, is that what you collect? From your handle, I thought you were a Disney collector... do you have a big pin collection?

CoMickey - welcome, girl!!

Hi Vicki!
welcome.gif

We'd love to have you join us!! The trip is open to everyone and we have lots of time left before the next one so hopefully we'll get many wonderful new ladies to join in.

If you haven't already there are some pics and info from our last trip on the front page you can check out. We had a great time. It's a really wonderful bunch of ladies.
If your sister can join us as well, that would be great, but if for some reason she can't, don't feel like you shouldn't still come. Some of the ladies travel with family or friends, but most come solo and have a blast! Everyone is welcoming and friendly and with months before the trip, you'll have plenty of time to jump right in and get to know everyone.

Other then the dates, we don't have any plans as of yet. But if you have any questions at all, please feel free to PM me and I will happily help you out. :)

Have a good day everyone. I've got to go get ready for lunch with some of the ladies! Catch ya later. :)

Good morning ladies! :wave2:

I have been fighting a bad cold for a week now and things are piling up around the house. But I still wanted to jump on the DIS to say hello. :wave2:
Welcome to all the new ladies! :welcome: This is a fun group! :)
Talk with you all later - need to get some paperwork done. I hate paperwork! :sad2:

You all have a great Friday!

Welcome to the group CoMickey!

Hope the DIS gals having lunch together have a blast. :goodvibes

Dawn, sorry you're not feeling well. In other news: I finally found the strawberry kiwi gum! :yay: That was so sweet of you to send Cheryl that basket. :goodvibes

Stacie - Enjoy your time off, even if you're only home because you're sick. :wizard:

Vin Disney - You can bite my big fat (well you know). :p You know I love you Jen!

Stacie~ I hope you start feeling better soon.

Becci~ Paper work is not fun! I hope you start feeling better soon.

I am sitting here anxiously waiting for my friends mom to call. She had or rather is in surgery. They have to remove a protion of her scalp to do a graft on her brain. I don't know all the details, but her mom said it was 4-6 hours in surgery. She is dating Jordan's uncle.

I hope everyone is having a good day.

Hello everyone !

Beth~ Please add me to next years trip ! I'm still upset that I missed this years trip, but it was too close to my WDW trip and the baby was still too young to leave with anyone (see still won't eat out of a bottle :headache:).

It looks like everyone had a great time this year!!

Hi Katie!!!! We need new pics of the baby!

Glad you will be joining us next year.

Good afternoon ladies

I am very happy as Mom got a $10 Albertsons gift card for signing up for the LA Times. That was a nice little surprise.

hugs and chocolates

Just checking in!

I just finished a buttload of CSUF things, just getting everything in order.
It looks like I will have to go down on April 20th (Monday) for a 10 minute advisement :headache: (it's mandatory for new students) but maybe I'll be able to hop over to Disneyland when I'm done. The appointment is at 9:15 so I'm planning on leaving my house at 7:15 (I learned from my last trip to Disneyland that traffic can be a pain the patootie).

That will be my official last trip to DLR until August and that's if they accept my ticket. It's like what happened to Steph, I got stuck with the wrong ticket this time. I plan on going through the monorail entrance, it's so much fun. :dance3:

I'm off to clear the counters and then pick up my little sister from school. I still have to drop a few payments off for my dad and go to the gym before coming back home, doing laundry, getting ready and then going to see Fast & Furious.
:laundy:

I was just the victim of road rage. DD got out of school early today so even though I am home sick, I was picking her up from school and told her I would drive through and getting her lunch. Picked her up with no issues, went to her fave (Jack in the Box) and was heading home. I was in the far right lane and had just crossed the intersection when this car came into my lane. If I didn't slam on my breaks he would have totally hit me. As he was coming over into my lane I did honk the horn because I thought he may have not seen me. Well he just kept going.

So I change lanes so I am not behind him and when the next light came up, I was at least one car ahead of him, but in the next lane over. The light changes and I drive on. The car in the next lane is pretty slow and I will be needing to make a right at the next light, so I signal and change lanes. Remember, the car that cut me off is behind the slow car that I changed lanes in front of.

Now the craziness starts. I can see in my rearview mirror that he is speeding up, and cuts off a few people by zig zagging back and forth so he is right behind me. I now know this isn't gonna be good. I slow up and turn my blinker on since I need to make a turn at the light. He is right on my backside. After I make the turn he comes right up on the side of me and tries to push me into the parked cars. I shall mention that this is a one lane street right infront of the elementry school. I am very concernced since he is in the turn lane and is right by the crossing gaurd lady.

He pulls right in front of me then slams on the breaks. I stop in time though. He starts to drive on and I am hoping this is over since I need to turn into my track. He passes my street so I turn in, well he flips his car around and comes down the street and passes me. There is a fork in the road and he waits. I go to turn and he proceeds to turn and then cuts me off, puts his car so it is "T" in front of me then gets out of the car.

He comes over to the window and starts yelling at me. When he pulled in front of me I had already grabbed my phone to call 911. He is cursing and saying crazy things. I yell, I am calling the cops. As soon as he gets back in the car he starts off, then flips his car around and then heads straight for me, but turns at the last minute.

When 911 got on the phone he was still standing in the street. I told them what was going on and gave them his license plate number. And was able to describe him. But then they transfered me to the local police. And I had to give them the whole story again. I was pretty shaken since I could almost see my house from where this was all taking place. I explained everything again and the officer was very understanding.

One problem is jurisdiction. I live in an area where 3 cities meet at one intersection. The first cut off was in Cypress, the elementry school incident is Anaheim, but once I turned down the street is was Buena Park. I know its an issue, always is. I could hear it in the officers voice when he asked where this all took place. But I want to say he was understanding and I felt better once I talked to him.

I don't think there is much that will come of it. I told them what I could about the car, the number and his description. I am home safe. I was told that they would do some extra patrol around here though. So thats a good thing.

It was just so scary. Made my sick day at home to not be so relaxing.

How Scary! I am so sorry that happened to you - I would probably still be shaking! There are some real idiots on the road, for sure! I am very glad you are okay! :)
