I got my D23 box today. MKom had to see but I made her wait until I read the bills. It was fun to make her wait.

Inside was a decal, a certificate, a letter and the prettiest magazine that is full of colour, pictures, articles, and huge in size except depth. It has a lot of stuff with no advertising that I could see and lots of info but the pictures were the best part. I joined to get the magazine for mom and she does not love it, one of her hypersensitive moods but later she will yammer on about it.

I really liked this first issue. I will later go and read it word for word but have online and napping to do. Interesting article on Up and one on the Stage production of Little Mermaid.

My gosh, women! I just spent about an hour catching up on this thread! I'm sorry if I miss anyone, but I wanted to make a couple of responses.

That is really cute. And she is right! They do cost alot.

Yes....she was the one. Except it was in San Diego.

I can not believe that you were that mean!! I don't think you have a mean bone in your body!!

I love coffee!! Way better than Redbull! :rolleyes1

Wendy, Remember yesterday posting about your sweet Daddy? And I said that my DH was a sweet Daddy too.
When we were looking at wedding dresses, we knew we had a budget, and we kept to it. But one day while looking at veils, Becky found a beautiful one, but it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than Dave told us to spend. So we just said no to the lady and went home. I told Dave what happened, and nothing more was said. THe next day, when Becky got home from teaching, she found a package on her bed that said, "To Becky, Something to make your day a little more special. Love Daddy" She opened it up, and there was the veil. She started to cry, and asked me if I knew anything about it. I said no. He had gone to the bridal store all my himself, and found out what one it was, and then wrapped it up for her.

Wasn't that just the best thing for a Daddy to do??
I totally teared up reading this.

Good evening, ladies.

Things are blah here. Brent and I talking about splitting up. My brother gets married on April 4th, so I am trying to stay quiet about it until that is over with. I don't want to ruin his day and Brent is in the wedding.

We have separated a few times in the past. I am just tired of his irresponsibility. There are other issues, also. Mostly trust. I am not sure what to do. He is really trying right now to do better. But sometimes it really is too late. Surprisingly, I am not that sad about it. I am more nervous about how we are going to make it without him and how much Maddie will miss having her daddy here.:guilty: Nothing is for sure just yet...we are mostly just talking about it. But it looks like divorce is where we are heading.

I hope you all have a good evening. I will be lurking/lingering around. :)
January, I'm sorry to hear you are in a rough patch. I hope yo can work things out, but if not, remember we're here for you.

Hey ladies! Trying to keep up with you chatty gals is practically impossible!

Just thought I'd mention that currently I'm not wearing a bra.
Are you hoping for a new tag?

No--I've been packing and taking a last minute trip to the Paradise Pier Hotel to take pics of the accident scene. Sigh.

I now just finished revising a lease and an amendment and am going to bed.

Hugs to Steph (I wondered if it was where you were when I saw the headlines) and to January--life is hard sometimes. My BFF and I always say that "men can come and go, but you can always rely on your girlfriends."

I am SOOO ready to get out of here. Kitty is home, but looks bad. I've spent more $$$ on him than I will on this vacation and I have the awful feeling he won't be here when i get back. Not that money means that much, but it's disheartening to have done everything you can and you just can't help him.

Ok--I'll check in from Florida --goodnight everybody! (Oh, and I had the Nassau ad too!)

Love to all

Cheryl
I wonder what Cheryl's doing in WDW right now........

As I was driving home from work today I saw the strangest thing that I have yet to see here in Vegas and I just had to share it all with you.

I was driving through a busy intersection (Trop and Maryland) a few minutes after 9 tonight I couldn't help but notice that one of the people crossing the street was a heavy set man in full clown makeup, wig and costume driving an electric wheelchair:clown::moped:

Now, I'm afraid of clowns (as I think I've shared before) but I couldn't help but laugh and remind myself that what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas unless you have girlfriends that you need to cheer up!

Have a great night everyone and here's to hoping for a great big beautiful tomorrow!:lovestruc
That is the scariest thing I've ever heard!:scared1:

Hey all! I'm back from the doctor. I still have mono, and now I have Strep throat and a heart murmur. I have to go back to the doctor next week because the doctor is worried that I've had this strep for weeks now untreated and that it's gone to my heart. Pray for me please if that's what you do.

I'm tired. I'll talk with you all later.

Beth, how were your waffles? I had some eggos this morning. :cloud9:
Heather! You must be miserable! I hope you start feeling better real soon.

I'm SO excited! I decided to look at pricing for the hotel I'm staying at this weekend in San Francisco and they had a rate for the exact room I booked for $70 cheaper. I quickly called and explained to them and after being on hold for awhile the lady said that it was a typo, but they would honor the rate!!!!!:woohoo::yay::cheer2:

Excellent! Think of that as $70 more to spend on cabs. I agree with what others suggested. Take cabs whenever you can. The roads are hilly, and driving and parking in SF is scary!

Nope, not crazy!!! I'm trying to figure out how I can get some Mickey pretzels and Chip and Dale snack mix, maybe a cookie or two, and I live a LOT farther than 100 miles away :thumbsup2

I love their Chip & Dale snack mixes! :goodvibes My favorite is the spicy one but I only see it in Greetings in DCA. They have one that's similar but it's called Firecracker Mix (not too spicy) and they sell it in small square plastic containers in the gift shop at the DLH (the small gift shop). I do like the Cheddar shaped Mickey crackers too. :yay: I'm sure if you called Disneyland Deliv-ears (800)362-4533 they would ship it to you. I recently ordered a Donald Duck plush and they charged me $7 for shipping. They also take AP discounts over the phone. :cutie:

Ummmm, so :confused3

I'm not here for your enjoyment.

Believe me, none of you want to be in a car with me while driving in San Francisco. I'm not driving this weekend so it's probably for the best. I do what I want when I want and those one way streets apparently mean nothing to me! :rotfl2: It only happened once, but I did go down a one way the wrong way. :rolleyes1 I've driven lots in San Francisco and never had a problem. *knock on wood*

I'm still in disbelief about the room! With taxes and everything, I saved almost $100!!!!

Hi ladies!

I hope you all are having a great day! It is really nice out. The sun has decided to make an appearance----finally.:cheer2:

Tina---thanks for the hug! I can always use one. :goodvibes

Arg! It seems like the homework never ends. I am drowning in Math!!:teacher:

Mr. Happy sounds like Mr. Freak-ay!

Wendy -you guys should just walk, it's an awesome exercise ;) No seriously though, I went last summer with my cousins and I fell asleep on the BART on the way back to the parking lot. I like the BART :goodvibes

Frustrated. After posting I got ready, then called the sister (needed to know where my friend is, what building, at least). And was told I wasn't needed.

So I then cried for about 20 minutes, b/c I'm not the type to just go up despite being told not to...they don't seem to be *hearing* me that I just want to sit in the waiting room and help them with anything they might need...I've told them very bluntly several times but they aren't getting it...since I'm not the type to just go up there, I'm feeling quite useless.

A bit later (probably an hour later) sister called again and told me that my friend said I should come up on Saturday...so I had hubby stay home (stupid idea that went against my instincts and I shouldn't have done that) for no reason and now have to figure out something for Saturday... AND I didn't want them to bug my friend!!! That's what I was trying to *avoid*...

Sigh.

But I'm not crying now, I got it out, and we're going to all take a walk, have some stuff notarized, go to Starbucks (hubby got a giftcard for his b'day from the selfsame friend), resist Eamon's demands to go buy more Playmobil at the very helpful (ha!) toy store a 5 minute walk away from our condo... So something good will come from keeping Robert home for the day (besides it making E very happy, of course).

Realized I was up most of the night b/c of my own stupidity...drank a latte at 6pm. Hello, am I new here? I know I can't have caffeine after 3 or 4pm...:headache:

I can only imagine how frustrating that is. Sometimes with friends' families don't you just want to go, "I know what I am doing here!!! She is my friend and I know our relationship." I'm sure she will appreciate it once you are able to be there. Even if it is just to act as a family buffer.

That is awesome! Dis Divas must have good hotel karma (first HoJo Ent credits & now this). Hopefully some of that will rub off on me.

Hey you have the same birthday as my son! He will be 9 on Monday.

YAY Aries! We (your son & I) have the same birthday as Eric Clapton too :) Not sure your son will know who that is, but still cool IMHO.

Do you think he will be available for cheap when we have the Vegas meet in June? ;)

That literally made me LOL.

Diana (my sister) and Tyrae (her DBF) both have the cold :headache: but we are still going to DLR tomorrow.

I'm excited because they are both getting APs this trip
We will be leaving the house at 6:15. It takes us about 1 hour to get to DLR but I'm giving us a 15 minute padding for traffic. That means we should be getting to M&FPG around 7:30. I want to be ON Main Street by 7:45-7:50. Now that I think of it, that seems like we're cutting it close. We really want to make rope drop because Tyrae has never been on Peter Pan or Dumbo. Considering that he's 6'3 - 6'4, I'm not sure if he'll fit in Dumbo  but we mostly want to do Peter Pan, Alice, and Toady before the place gets really packed. Now, because there will be spring break crowds, after those rides I really feel we should pick up a FP or two (if time allows before DCA) for one of the mountains and Indiana Jones (that ride never fails to get a 60min+ line and it breaks down.
[Stacie, for some odd reason I really want to go on Splash :rolleyes1and I gave you all that grief last time :rotfl:]

I forgot to mention that I bought my new cell :thumbsup2....it only cost me $99.95
It's an iphone knock off :rolleyes1

It's the cheapest touch screen I could find.

Alot of catching up to do.

I hope I can remember everything.

First and foremost. January, I am so sorry to hear what is going on. To have so much heavy stuff on your mind is so hard. I wish I could give you a big hug in person and just be there to listen. It sounds like you have gotten to the point of no return, which usually means that this has been going on for a long time, and you are just tired of the fight. Maybe if he knows how serious you are, he would be willing to try counceling? Or have you run out of all your trust for him? If so, then it could take a long time to get it back again............if ever. I will be keeping you and Brent in my prayers. Take care!:hug::hug:

Heather, It is a good thing you went back to the doctor. Please take it easy, and take advantage of your Mom being around to help. Rest, rest rest!!! I will pray for you too!

Capri, I am so glad that you took Ryan to the doctor. I was just about to PM you, and tell you that. If for nothing else than to get reassurance that he is OK. I was kind of wondering if he might be dehydrated? It can happen so quickly, even if you think they are getting enough fluids. Please let us know ASAP how things are. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

Steph, I PMd you. Hope today is a little better for you and your friends.

The whole crazy Vegas guy sounds really creepy. YIkes! Keep your children away!
The clown story on the scooter is hilarious. He probably is just going to work on a gas saving vehicle..................but this could only happen in Vegas you know! :lmao:

Wendy, I feel like celebrating with you!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:$100.00 is alot of mulah!! :upsidedow Don't spend it all in one place, ya hear?

So where did Dawn go that she had to catch and early plane this morning? Cancun?

See, there's a reason for you to not go back to work yet... I hope you're feeling better soon!! Especially by next week.

I made waffles for dinner last night, they were YUMMY! DH threw a semi-fit, he's trying to lose weight and that's quite impossible to do when eating waffles. So I told him he didn't have to eat them, but he did anyways... whatever!

No more sicknesses for the DIS ladies or their families and friends, it's getting a little out of control! Hopefully I don't catch the snifflies that are going around my house right now.

I wish I wasn't going to, but it's all going to that nasty little thing called car insurance. yuck!

So where did Dawn go that she had to catch and early plane this morning? Cancun?

She's in SoCal visting her girlfriend!

I hope you're having a great day Auntie Mel! :goodvibes
