Hey all! I'm back from the doctor. I still have mono, and now I have Strep throat and a heart murmur. I have to go back to the doctor next week because the doctor is worried that I've had this strep for weeks now untreated and that it's gone to my heart. Pray for me please if that's what you do.

Frustrated. After posting I got ready, then called the sister (needed to know where my friend is, what building, at least). And was told I wasn't needed.

So I then cried for about 20 minutes, b/c I'm not the type to just go up despite being told not to...they don't seem to be *hearing* me that I just want to sit in the waiting room and help them with anything they might need...I've told them very bluntly several times but they aren't getting it...since I'm not the type to just go up there, I'm feeling quite useless.

A bit later (probably an hour later) sister called again and told me that my friend said I should come up on Saturday...so I had hubby stay home (stupid idea that went against my instincts and I shouldn't have done that) for no reason and now have to figure out something for Saturday... AND I didn't want them to bug my friend!!! That's what I was trying to *avoid*...

Sigh.


But I'm not crying now, I got it out, and we're going to all take a walk, have some stuff notarized, go to Starbucks (hubby got a giftcard for his b'day from the selfsame friend), resist Eamon's demands to go buy more Playmobil at the very helpful (ha!) toy store a 5 minute walk away from our condo... So something good will come from keeping Robert home for the day (besides it making E very happy, of course).


Realized I was up most of the night b/c of my own stupidity...drank a latte at 6pm. Hello, am I new here? I know I can't have caffeine after 3 or 4pm...

I'm SO excited! I decided to look at pricing for the hotel I'm staying at this weekend in San Francisco and they had a rate for the exact room I booked for $70 cheaper. I quickly called and explained to them and after being on hold for awhile the lady said that it was a typo, but they would honor the rate!!!!!

Wow! Take 1 evening off of checking on this thread and it gets away from you. Just caught up during a work meeting (same meeting we've had 4 times already, just with a new owner each time!)

Lots going on with everyone, but between my meeting and reading, I don't remember much at all. Sorry. So hugs to those who need them and congrats to those who deserve/need it .

Just dropping by to say that I am very excited for Mon! It's my birthday and my DH is taking me to DL for the day. We are eating at Carnation Cafe thanks to you ladies showing me the awesomeness that is that restaurant. I know it will likely be busy due to Spring Break, but we are just planning on getting some FP, eating a corndog, and relaxing. When I get back I will have to catch up on the chatter here. Hopefullly we'll get a chance to see the new "show" either now or in April.

Not much to report on today except DH is taking Ryan to the doctor in about 30 minutes. I'm sure he's fine, but we want to get him checked out just to be safe. He looks terrible, won't hardly eat anything, and is in bed most of the day. This is the sixth day he's been sick, so I think it's probably a good idea to get him checked by a doctor.

Going back to bed, better to sleep than be awake waiting to eat because of the thyroid med. time for a group hug and prayers for you all.

It is hard to sit and not do anything but sometimes that is all you can do. The family is having a stressful day so the best thing is to set and pray or to find something on your own to do like make them a meal. It is not the meal but the act of giving that counts. If you know you can do something like water the plants then ask if you can stop by and do that. I send you big hugs and wish I had a friend like you, wow you are a super special person.

I am still looking for someone in the area to fix mom's wheelchair which they are not fixing and the one she is using is poorly designed and too heavy. I am going to nap then call SCAN as I think they are mixed up on what I need. I can walk in the parks but it would mean using all of my spoons for the week.

I spent $1800 on the Visa card since I got it this month. I am using it for doctors, online games, auto club, groceries, everything. At this rate I will have a WDW vacation, lol. The ECV rentals were over $300 this month.

Up here near Summerlin there is a guy called Mr. Happy. He's always in the oddest costumes, standing on the street corner yelling, playing music, just being happy. I heard he inherited a ton of money and that's what he does with it, buys these elaborate costumes and hangs out all day.
He was in some of those Towbin Dodge commercials too.

I gotta tell you Beth...sometimes "Mr. Happy" is a little more than happy! I learned this the hard way when the hospital was still being built and I had a temporary office down near his corner. I made the mistake of waving one day and in return got obscene gestures and an uncomfortable dance with the telephone pole. I am sure the specifics are not Dis-friendly. So let's just say I turned several shades of red, and never waved at or made eye contact with Mr. Happy again!!!
