Good Evening Ladies. I went to Ralph's market awhile ago and I noticed they had some cute Easter items:

P3260004.jpg

Here's a pic of some bunny popsicle molds- I believe they were $2.99 for a set of 3.

P3260005.jpg

These are cute Disney print easter eggs- the inside is filled with fruity candy, gummies and jelly beans.

Wonka has made these cool plastic easter eggs:

P3260006.jpg

Some can be mounted (tape on the back), some have a suction cup on the back or it can be hung (string attached) and they also have ones that glow in the dark. They come filled with sweet tarts, laffy taffy and nerds.

P3260007.jpg

They also have ones that have Sponge Bob print or Dora the Explorer. The inside contains sour candy, fruity candy, krabby patties and jelly beans.

Just wanted to share :)

Oh and Walgreen's is selling these cute plush Easter baskets:

P3100082.jpg

I believe they are $9.99/EA but I can't remember. They also had similar ones but they were of Spiderman and Sponge Bob.

Just a quick hello!

Hello!

I'm off to iron my clothes and make sure I have everything I need for tomorrow.

So because we have two sick people in our party, they overruled me and we are now leaving at 7am. I guess that's what APs are for, right? To be able to do everything sometime or another. So we won't be making it for rope drop but we should be in the parks by 8:30am. We'll probably ride POTC, HM, and BTMRR (if the lines aren't horrendous just yet) and grab a FP for one of the mountains or IJ.

I'm excited because we get to see (if Diana & Tyrae let me) the new parade :cool1:

Hi all!

Thanks for the nice words...I felt like such an idiot earlier. I really thought I could just GO, could just walk on in and make people smile, but I think I'm part vampire b/c I feel the need to be invited. :upsidedow

Hopefully after this she'll be extremely healthy and this sort of thing will never happen again, but I think I might talk about it just in case. I was very much needed in 2003, and I'm happy that her family has changed enough that I'm not as needed, but I was indeed able to help quite a bit the last time and I don't clash with anyone (except for medical students being stupid of course) in her family.

Anyway, I just felt really foolish for thinking I could pull it off AND for having hubby stay home in order for me to do it. He's like all of you, urging me to just GO...but ultimately I'm just a chicken who feels that family and boyfriend have more of a say over who even sits in the waiting room...

And so I think that she and I need to really talk about it, so that I know where I stand...should I wait for an absolute invite, even if I just want to be in the waiting room, just to be there...or should I just be there... Work it out ahead of time. Though I certainly do not expect her to ever be hospitalized again! Woo! (actually I don't know if she expects to be hospitalized, assuming she doesn't reject anything...that's another thing to talk about...turns out she was on the "top ten" list at UWMC's transplant list, and none of the family or friends knew it!!!!!)

Molly, I think you are right. You and your friend need to really talk about this because the patient needs to have the least amount of stress. I think a lot of what is going on has to do with her and her family more than it does with you. I know most of us here would be so happy to have a friend like you as an advocate, helping and offering your support at times like this.

So is it all set up for Saturday? How far away is she/

Have a great time at DL Cristabel! And Amy Sue!

Thinking of Cheryl and hoping she is having FUN at WDW.

Ohmigosh - Ozzie Osborne (on Jimmy Kimmel now) looks like 20 years younger! What did he do? He looks like he's lost a lot of weight but did he have some work done too?

Morning all. Molly I am still saying prayers for your friend and you are a GREAT friend to be doing what you are doing. She is lucky to have you!! And I agree that the cops here stink. I mean in January we had to do EVERYTHING and this time is pretty much the same. I mean basically they act like the kid will come home when they will and if not oh well. I mean she is probably walking RIGHT next to cop cars and they don't even care. The cop in January flat out told me that they did not have enough resources to bother with runaways and since it is not a crime that if they DO somehow find them and bring them home they can just run again and they will just bring them home again but there is NOTHING they can do to them. You can't take them to juvey no matter how many times they run. Parents have NO resources and parents can't even do much anymore because most of the alternative centers in this state are closed now because of the budget crisis. Most of the kids (including Lynn) know this. They tell us that when the kids run that ANY thing they do while on the run WE the parents are responsible for since they are minors but excuse me how can "I" be responsible when I don't even know where they are and yet I can't lock them up in the house! I mean it is nuts. You tell me I have to be responsible for the crap they do but then I can't keep them confined to keep them FROM causing trouble. Kind of a danged if you do danged if you don't.

So basically the kid has all the power. It's like if you bring a kid into this world you are supposed to be responsible for them no matter WHAT they do until the age of 18 well I'm sorry but if they run off and committ a crime and you did EVERYTHING you could to prevent it I don't see how that is the parents fault. I mean we have done EVERYTHING we could with counseling, school programs, church and it just doesn't get through to her and now if we could get her home we are going to put her in some type of therapy but we have to GET her home first.

Anyway enough of that. On to happier things. Today is the poem for shelby which I am excited for her although I don't know if it was because I cleaned yesterday or what but I got a nasty headache last night. Now this morning the girls keep arguing like crazy so they are driving me nuts LOL. But anyway after the poem I have work and then hopefully tonight I will feel up to going out to dinner. Getting a break from cooking ;)

By the way Mel I forgot to mention I LOVED the story about your daughter's veil and LOVED the pics. Just had so many posts I haven't been able to read them all but I wanted to respond to that.

Anyway better run. Have a good day all.

Last minute trip with the DD!!! Maybe I'll run into you Cristabel!!!!! (need a room?)

AMySue:yay::yay::dance3:
Have fun AmySue!! Say Hi to Cristabel for me if you see her!

Molly. Do not feel like an idiot. You have the best intentions a person could have.

I still feel that if you showed up uninvited, that the family and your friend would appreciate it. Even if you never got to see her while you were there. I know that when we have had emergencies in our family, it was just nice to know that others cared enough to be there, take the time, and just sit. I call it another caring presence, one with a smile and encouragement. Even if that is all it is, it sure means alot when you look back on it.

Whatever you do will be remembered and looked back on with love. :grouphug:

To all the other ladies out there......

Good Morning!!:goodvibes

( I wonder how long it's going to take to fix the color fonts?)

That is so weird, if I try to reply to a post, I can't change the color of the fonts, but with a new post, I can...

Good morning.

Here's some hugs for everyone that need them.:grouphug:

We took Ryan to the doctor yesterday, well actually it was a PA. Anyway, she said, "Yep, he's sick. Yep, he has a fever. Yep, he looks kinda bad. Nope, I don't know what's wrong with him. If it's the flu, it just has to run it's course. Bring him back in if it progresses into something else, like an ear infection, and then I can prescribe meds for him."

Well, it wasn't six hours after he saw the doctor, and Ryan was CRYING.....and I mean CRYING because his ear hurt so bad.

It was terrible because it was late in the evening, so other than take him to the emergency room, we have to wait until the morning to get him some meds. We'll probably have to take him back in to see the PA again I suppose.....that kinda ticks me off. Anyway, all we could do last night was give him Children's Tylenol, which didn't help much for his pain......so after 3.5 hours we decided to give him some Children's Motrin to see if that would work better for his ear. I think it did.

Anyway, Ryan had a horrible, painful night. And it gets even better.....yeah, I know, exciting huh. You're sitting on the edge of your seat with anticipation. Wellllllllllllll, I spent all night on the toilet. Doesn't that sound lovely with your coffee and muffin this morning?:goodvibes

Yep, spent all night, and this morning too, running to the toilet. Needless to say, I'm a little tired......but I am feeling lighter. See, there's always a silver lining.:thumbsup2

Oh NO Capri. I am SO sorry. I know how much that sucks. HUGS!!! I have had MANY a night with ear infections AND the other!! I have IBS so I have had to deal with what you are dealing with a LOT and then Shelby used to get ear infections a LOT and it seemed we would take them to the doc PAY the copay and there would be NO infection and then invariably that night RIGHT in the middle of the night when EVERYONE was exhausted she would be crying and have a HUGE fever and there was nothing you could do but give her tons of motrin and just try to get through it till morning.

I hope you can get him in today and get it resolved and I hope YOU start feeling better.

Unfortunately with THAT kind of thing it is better to let it runs its course. Usually you don't want to do immodium or whatever cuz you want the bacteria or whatever to get out of your system. Hope you ALL start feeling better soon. Drink LOTS of gatorade to keep your electorlytes up!! Hang in!!

Morning ladies!
Capri~ I hope you and Ryan start feeling better soon. I swear that always happens. So I guess you got a lot of exercise getting up & down to umm...go & use the bathroom...:lmao:
I wish I stopped for coffee this (Dawn would be proud of me!!) morning, or I would have enjoyed your story with my coffee & bagel!!

Kelly~ Hang in there. Someday it will get better. Lots of happy thoughts are being sent your way!!

Molly~ I hope your friend is doing better.

So I have planned Kaelebs party. Nothing big. We are going with some friends to Chico's for pizza on Sunday @ 5. Pizza, cake & ice cream. I ordered him a cool cake, its a skateboarding cake. It will be mostly our friends & a few kids from soccer. Its Spring break, most people are gone. Then after his party he is going to go and spend the night with a friend. Monday on his actual birthday his grandparents & I are taking him to either Inca's or Michaels for his birthday dinner.

Thanks Stacie. Your TR is awesome. Feels like we're right there for the trip all over again....only if it were true. ;)

steph

We will be doing it again. Next year!!!

Stacie is a hoot!! I find myself giggling away as I read!!!

AmySue

Oh, hey, I wanna hear from Cheryl!!!!! HOw long has she been at WDW? 2 hours? We want details!!!

I know. How dare she have fun and not let us know whats going on. What does she think?.....like she's on vacation or something?

Aww, shucks. Thanks Stacie! :flower3:

I was able to start changing colors yesterday.

Morning All!!!!!

Capri - sorry to hear about your little one being sick. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Debra - Sounds like a fun birthday party. Please post a pic of the skateboard cake. My DD is a skater and I would love to get her one on her next birthday.

Capri - there is a product called Auralgan, which is a topical anesthetic meant for earaches. It is FABULOUS! My son gets terrible ear infections frequently, so I always keep some on hand. It is a bottle with a dropper - you warm up the liquid in the bottle (put it in a glass of warm water for a couple of minutes), then put a couple of drops in the sore ear. Works like a hot darn :thumbsup2 It is an OTC med, so no prescription is needed.

Kaeleb is the skaterboy...
Jordan he is the jock & sometimes on his mood he is a skaterboy...

Thanks, those are cute! I wish we had a Ralph's. We have Smiths, Vons, Albertsons, but no Ralphs. Darn.

I'm sooooooooo jealous! I love the parades and shows at DL and DCA almost more than the rides. Enjoy!!

Probably. Seems like everyone does at some point or another.

Well, I'd rather run and sit on the toilet then run and be leaning over it if you know what I mean. :scared: At least you can sit and read. :rotfl:

I hope you feel better and poor Ryan! I hope he feels better too.

Whoo hooo! Finally it's Friday. Not that I have any thrilling plans this weekend. Not like Cheryl in WDW, or AmySue in DL, or Wendy in SF, or Dawn who was also doing something fun that I now can't remember. LOL ;)

I hope everyone has a good day and a good weekend, whatever your plans may be.
I've got to run some errands today so I'll see ya'll later. :)
