Can we please have the peoplemover back?

D23, guess mom and I are the only ones who got the magazine.

Sick is a not nice word for me, my nose still hurts from the last reaction and still not sure if the new meds are working.

I cannot pop up some threads because of service 503, am I alone or is this a site wide problem?

See, there's a reason for you to not go back to work yet... I hope you're feeling better soon!! Especially by next week.

I made waffles for dinner last night, they were YUMMY! DH threw a semi-fit, he's trying to lose weight and that's quite impossible to do when eating waffles. So I told him he didn't have to eat them, but he did anyways... whatever!

No more sicknesses for the DIS ladies or their families and friends, it's getting a little out of control! Hopefully I don't catch the snifflies that are going around my house right now.

We had waffles last night too!

Ok, I am finally attempting to finish cleaning out my daycare room, and I'm seriously a little teary. We ran a daycare in our house from 1994 until last August. I was totally ready for a change, but in denial about what that really meant. Once we closed the daycare, I cleaned out some of the "junk." Then every few weeks or so I got the nerve to donate more stuff. However, there is still a lot of stuff in the room, combined with all of our catering supplies. It is a huge mess, and it's been driving me crazy! So today I started taking down the bulliten boards. I'm trying to condence the toys and games, so there is still something for kids to do when they come over. We have something like 16 nieces and nephews, and they have come to expect fun when they come to Auntie Tina's house.
Sorry, I just had to get that rambling off my chest. I seriously need a professional organizer to come help me with this! I am completely overwhelmed!!!!!:headache:
OK, rant over. And now back to your regularly scheduled program..........

I feel quite rude to not multi-quote and respond to everyone...but don't really have the hour that would take!!

Kelly--I still am astounded by the horror and stress of Lynn missing. Glad to see that all else seems to be moving on normally. Hope the poem went well.

January--so sorry to hear about your impending divorce. Even though it seems inevitable, still must be exhausting emotionally.

Wendy--have fun in SF!! I drive a manual and am often scared on hills when someone pulls up really close behing me. Don't think I'd wanna drive there!!

Stacie--I won't bug you about your trip report..but I wish you'd write it. I am having an age brain fade thing, and can't remember what we did after IASMW on Friday.

Steph---my heart is with you, what a tragedy.

Molly---hang in!!! It's lovely to see how much you care for your friend. I am hoping she is doing pretty well since she wants you to come!!

Cristabel--congratulations!!!! Total bomb that you got accepted.

I am sure I missed a lot of people, but this is the best I can do at the moment.

Final note: I am going to DL tomorrow, staying at the Desert Inn and leaving on SUnday!!!!

Last minute trip with the DD!!! Maybe I'll run into you Cristabel!!!!! (need a room?)

AMySue:yay::yay::dance3:

You guys going to DL tomorrow - have a blast!
It is supposed to be a beautiful day and hopefully not too crowded. I'm jealous as I am not going until MA in April.

Wendy - have a blast in SF - we've only been once but it was a lot of fun.;)

Hugs to all those who are sick or have ill children. I hope everyone feels better real soon.:thumbsup2

I LOVE WAFFLES! But we are having clam linguine, steamed broccoli and garlic bread. Ummm, can I breathe on you? JK!:rotfl: But I did buy some Debbie Meyer Green Bags, put our broccoli crowns in one on Sat and I must say it looks as fresh as it did at the grocery store tonight. Those things really work.::yes::

Yay for Disneyland tomorrow :cool1:
Although, you two might be commando'ing so fast you'll whip right past me  But if I do see you, I will try to stop and say "Hi" but my sister and her DBF seem to want to do EVERYTHING tomorrow. Yay for APs!

Just don't put anything in them that are a little wet, it gets slimy and disgusting!!

Evening all. Thanks Amysue for the continued thoughts. No e-mails today from Lynn although after talking to some people Shane and I have thought of some other ideas about perhaps getting Lynn to some of her mom's family since it is obvious she has NO plans of coming home anytime soon and since we are afraid that there could be perverts out there taking advantage of someone like her. I am still amazed that someone could be out there for over a week with NOTHING but then as one of shane's friends pointed out today there are PLENTY of older men that would LOVE a young girl her age and would take advantage of that so we sent her an e-mail today that basically told her that if she won't come home that we will help her to maybe get to someone she WILL stay with because we know that she WON'T stay here. She obviously doesn't want to stay here and we can't force her. She will just keep sneaking out etc and there is no point in it. The police keep reminding us that it is not a crime to run away and they can't arrest her for it and until she actually breaks a law they can't do anything. She IS a truant but at this point there isn't a whole lot there either.

So maybe if we can find someone she DOES want to live with it is better than her being on the streets. At least until we are not legally and financially responsible for her because she can't emancipate herself and even if she got a full time job she is STILL a minor so we are still responsible for her till she turns 18 which isn't till next Feb.

But anyway I spent most of my day cleaning house so I got quite a bit done but I am exhausted LOL.

Lost was REALLY good! And am looking forward to AI tonight.

Anyway tomorrow I have work and then hopefully we are going to go out to eat since we have been at home all week and we look forward to getting out one night a week for a break. Probably no movie this week but maybe we might rent one or something. We still have more yard work to do on Saturday and a little more housework but otherwise not much else going on.

The poem is actually tomorrow morning so I will make sure and take a pic and share it! :)

Then of course wed is the open house and we leave on the 5th for our trip!!! :)

Can't wait!

So SOME fun stuff coming up!

Heather hope you start feeling better and hope everyone has a GREAT evening!

I'm back from Vegas. Haven't attempted yet to catch up on all the pages, but just wanted to check in. Had a great time visiting with Beth on Monday and then shopping (yes, I made a whopping $5 purchase on a travel size conditioner ;) ) and then visiting Belagio.
Welcome back!! Ready for another shopping spree?? ;)

Just dropping by to say that I am very excited for Mon! It's my birthday and my DH is taking me to DL for the day.
Awww, how fun! What a great DH you have.

Hey all! I'm back from the doctor. I still have mono, and now I have Strep throat and a heart murmur. I have to go back to the doctor next week because the doctor is worried that I've had this strep for weeks now untreated and that it's gone to my heart. Pray for me please if that's what you do.
Oh Heather, how scary. I will definitely say some prayers for you.

But I'm not crying now, I got it out, and we're going to all take a walk, have some stuff notarized, go to Starbucks (hubby got a giftcard for his b'day from the selfsame friend), resist Eamon's demands to go buy more Playmobil at the very helpful (ha!) toy store a 5 minute walk away from our condo... So something good will come from keeping Robert home for the day (besides it making E very happy, of course).
I hope you are ok and enjoyed your walk.

I'm SO excited! I decided to look at pricing for the hotel I'm staying at this weekend in San Francisco and they had a rate for the exact room I booked for $70 cheaper. I quickly called and explained to them and after being on hold for awhile the lady said that it was a typo, but they would honor the rate!!!!!:woohoo::yay::cheer2:
YAY!!! There's extra money for Vegas!!!

Not much to report on today except DH is taking Ryan to the doctor in about 30 minutes.
I hope the doc is able to tell you what's going on, and he feels better soon.

I gotta tell you Beth...sometimes "Mr. Happy" is a little more than happy! I learned this the hard way when the hospital was still being built and I had a temporary office down near his corner. I made the mistake of waving one day and in return got obscene gestures and an uncomfortable dance with the telephone pole. I am sure the specifics are not Dis-friendly. So let's just say I turned several shades of red, and never waved at or made eye contact with Mr. Happy again!!! :scared1:
Lucky! All I ever get is a wave.

;)

Do you think he will be available for cheap when we have the Vegas meet in June? ;)
:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Crack the whip why don't you.
Whip? Where's the whip? :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

Good luck to her on the poem and I can't wait to see the pic. :goodvibes

Thanks for the prayers and well wishes everyone!

Capri, how is Ryan? I hope he's on the mend. :grouphug:

Kelly, I continue to pray for your family. Hang in there.

Molly, I hope you are feeling better also.

I feel like I'm missing people, just know I'm thinking of all of you.

I'll be better by next week Stacie, I have to be. I'll have over 5 days of antibiotic in me by then. I should be much better. I hope.

Talk with you all later!

I wish I wasn't going to, but it's all going to that nasty little thing called car insurance. yuck!

Well boo hoo on that dumb car insurance! That's no fun!

She's in SoCal visting her girlfriend!

OK...............Don't know how I missed that?

I hope you're having a great day Auntie Mel! :goodvibes
Thankyou! You too! :goodvibes

We had waffles last night too!

We had some tonight!

Totaly fine to rant!
Wouldn't it be fun to have a personal organizer? And have all those people come in and paint, put in the perfect shelves, containers with labels, make tables and chairs all for "Design on a Dime?" They do all the labor for free. Why don't you call and ask someone from HGTV? Maybe you could be the house of the day?? Cool huh? :cool1:
Shall I go on?

HI Kelly!

I would think being a minor it would be a crime to run away. Or at least the police would have the right to bring her back home, or somewhere safe. The system is scewy i tells ya.
I feel for you and hope something happens soon, so you can get some rest. I know you must be so upset and tense, and that is just not good at all for the soul. God bless and take care Kelly.

PS-Have a much need rest on your trip,:flower3: and good luck on your DD's poem tomorrow. :teacher:

Well, you know how kids are ;)

Yes you young whiper snapper.

Stacie--I won't bug you about your trip report..but I wish you'd write it. I am having an age brain fade thing, and can't remember what we did after IASMW on Friday.

I am actually working on the next part of the trip report as we speak. So you some-timers can settle down.

I plan on hitting the parks on Sunday. Maybe we will run into you guys.

You guys going to DL tomorrow - have a blast!
It is supposed to be a beautiful day and hopefully not too crowded. I'm jealous as I am not going until MA in April.

Please don't breathe this way. We had tacos tonight. Mmmmm!

Whip? Where's the whip? :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:

You sicko!

Considering that he's 6'3 - 6'4, I'm not sure if he'll fit in Dumbo

If the singer Seal can fit on Dumbo, I'm sure your friend can. :)

Just don't use them for bananas. :headache:

Thanks for the nice words...I felt like such an idiot earlier. I really thought I could just GO, could just walk on in and make people smile, but I think I'm part vampire b/c I feel the need to be invited. :upsidedow

Hopefully after this she'll be extremely healthy and this sort of thing will never happen again, but I think I might talk about it just in case. I was very much needed in 2003, and I'm happy that her family has changed enough that I'm not as needed, but I was indeed able to help quite a bit the last time and I don't clash with anyone (except for medical students being stupid of course) in her family.

Anyway, I just felt really foolish for thinking I could pull it off AND for having hubby stay home in order for me to do it. He's like all of you, urging me to just GO...but ultimately I'm just a chicken who feels that family and boyfriend have more of a say over who even sits in the waiting room...

And so I think that she and I need to really talk about it, so that I know where I stand...should I wait for an absolute invite, even if I just want to be in the waiting room, just to be there...or should I just be there... Work it out ahead of time. Though I certainly do not expect her to ever be hospitalized again! Woo! (actually I don't know if she expects to be hospitalized, assuming she doesn't reject anything...that's another thing to talk about...turns out she was on the "top ten" list at UWMC's transplant list, and none of the family or friends knew it!!!!!)

I would think being a minor it would be a crime to run away. Or at least the police would have the right to bring her back home, or somewhere safe. The system is scewy i tells ya.

I would have thought that, too. If it's not illegal, then why do we have the pictures on some milk cartons? Why do the police put out effort at all?

I still have a sneaking suspicion that the police force in Kelly's town are all retired from San Jose...about as helpful!:headache:

Yipee!!!:woohoo:
Best news I've heard tonight.
Thanks, Stacie.;)

Ok yall.....I got a bit more of the trip report done. Enjoy.

Thanks Stacie. Your TR is awesome. Feels like we're right there for the trip all over again....only if it were true. ;)
