Girls Only Disneyland Trip ~ Old thread, link to new one in first post

I have no LL Bean ad, I have University of Phoenix and the disneyland promo on the bottom and top, respectively, of my page.

Now I have to go out, leaving one of my links to friend-S, to take E to my chiropractor friend, b/c he fell off the arm of the couch. Grr. We *just* had an appointment the other day. But our next appt isn't for a month, and I have NO interest in having his wee little Atlas vertebra (the one right below the skull) out of alignment all month long.

I hope S's sister calls me soon, not calling means S is still in surgery! That's approaching TWELVE hours!

Sometimes surgery's take quite awhile. My gastric bypass took, 6 hours.
She is in good hands. You will hear something soon.

Seriously, I wanted to just tell him that I don't know anything about the group, 'cause I really don't, but I'm not allowed to say that. :confused3

Yay!
I agree! That is horrible!

:confused::sad2:

I have to admit--I am guilty of this. (I guess I'm not the  I thought I was!).

If you could just say "I'm not interested" and they go away, well, ok. But sometimes they try to engage you in conversation anyway. I usually just immediately say "please put me on your "do not call" list." And most say "ok."

My Mom's method is to just say -- I just bought it. So if they're calling about vinyl siding "we just had it put on the house." Carpeting: we just re-carpeted. Policeman's ball--"I just bought tickets from a friend."

This is why I don't have a home phone. If I don't know who the number that is calling my cell I don't answer.

You don't get to be one of the mosted hated people at Starbuck's by being nice. ;)

Whaa....
The people in the drive thru at Mc Donalds may or may not like me....:rolleyes1

What's ball hockey? :confused3

Ball hockey is just hockey (with MOST of the regular equipment) played with a ball instead of a puck and on a floor like lacrosse instead of ice (so running shoes instead of skates). No contact either - which just bugs the bejeebers out of Jesse ;) He does have a bleeding disorder though, so this is a perfect compromise - he gets hockey, I get no broken bones or broken teeth :thumbsup2

I have an LL bean flip flop add.

I wish I had an L.L. Bean flip flop add - I :lovestruc flip-flops! I keep getting the scrapbooking place ad....... Trying to tell me something?????

Hmmmmm, do tell :rolleyes1

That is the sweetest story I've heard in a long time! I want a DH like yours! (P.S.--my Daddy's name was Dave too)

"May" need coffee?????? You don't know me that well, do you? It's an absolute (and were it not for the fact that drinking LOTS of coffee would have an unpleasant effect, I would drink the whole pot) and MOlly--I hope your friend is ok.

and I thought I was a wuss about flying! (although actually, I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet on the plane tomorrow--hopefully no crying kids!!!)

See? See? The DisBoards can see into our lives, I'm sure of it!!! Although my current banner is L.L. Bean ----hmmmmm. Bean burritos for dinner maybe ???????

:rotfl:
burritos sound yummy for dinner!!

I had one for lunch.

Everywhere I go on the DIS, I keep getting an L.L. Bean ad. :confused3
I keep getting the airline add.

I know. When I was typing it up, it made me tear up again. Dave is a good name.

Wow....that is a long time. Makes you wonder about the surgeons too. They have to be exausted.

A big hug to you Molly.

I like that answer! :thumbsup2

That's what I wonder about, along with the wonder of what it's like to be "under" so long. I know you don't generally remember (though she actually does have memories of what surgeons have talked about, even though she doesn't remember the pain, and she's freaked out surgeons by asking follow up questions on what they were blathering about during previous surgeries) but I just wonder, that's all. (I have a really bad reaction to anesthesia of pretty much all types)

Off to the chiro!

Oooh - that's not good..... A friend of mine had a really terrible experience with anesthesia when she fell down stairs and broke her leg. She needed pins inserted. During the surgery, she did not completely go out from the anesthetic. There was enough that she could not move any muscles or make any noise, but she could hear everything and FEEL everything! She was so traumatized by the whole thing - and she needed follow up surgery to get the pins removed :scared1: Luckily, everything went fine for the second surgery, but it was a completely terrifying thing!

Does anyone know if you have to have a passport for a cruise? I want to book one for my birthday weekend in June but my mom says she thinks I will need a passport. DBF and I went on one like 2 years ago and all we needed was our birth certificates. I just want to do the 4 day from San Diego or Long Beach to Ensenada.

Hi all, jumping in for a moment...

I have an Iams cat food ad at the bottom... I do have cats (but never buy Iams)

Dawn,

Actually, the mean thing to do is to spend a lot of time on the phone with them because I think they get paid based on sales. So you did that person a favor. I always say put me on the do not call list... (I am on the official one, but still get recorded calls which are illegal unless they are political or charities).

When DBF and I went a few months ago we rented a car and didn't even use it except to drive from the airport to the hotel and back. :rotfl: We took the bus everywhere or walked. We did the Alcatraz Tour too. I had done it before the last time I was in SF but this was the first time for DBF. They actually had a former inmate doing a book signing when we were there. DBF bought me his book but I haven't read it yet.

I love that Alcatraz tour!

Okay, there was a piece on this on the news once and it just terrified me. Horrible.

Molly, your poor friend, 12 hours in surgery.

Cheryl, did your t shirt from d23 ever come?

ADDED; yes you need passport now.
Melody -you look stunning, your family looks gorgeous - it is so tasteful!!!! and those kids... adorable.

 Hi everyone! I haven't had a chance to read everything. I have had a long day both emotionally and mentally. I don't even know how to describe today....it's on the national news though...

I'll try to check in later and catch up from last night but today is just one of those days that you dread but do happen on a very rare occasion....just wish they were more rare than they are.

Make sure you all hug your loved ones extra tight today.

Girls, I have questions!

I'm thinking about letting my AP expire because I don't have any trips planned after this Friday and my AP expires April 7th (prime time Spring break until either late summer because I'm (God willing) working all summer, M-F and I don't enjoy Disneyland with the heat + crowds.:crowded:
When I get an AP again I want to get the Premium because I will be moving in to CSUF in August, which is 15 minutes north of DL  and I was wondering if Costco also gives you a $50 gift card when you purchase the premium or is it only for the Deluxe AP?

Also, can you do the payment plan if you buy an AP from Costco?

I think that's it for now, I'm sure I'll post again when I remember the other questions bopping around in my head.

Steph, I'm so sorry. I am not going to copy the bad news here as I doubt it is allowed. I read it on the Yahoo main page.

I think you can only do Deluxe and no on the payment plan. You can always upgrade when you get to the park though. Maybe someone will have a better answer for you.

I think Wendy is right on. I also think the the tickets are going to shortly run out of time to activate. Be sure to check on that too!!

Now I need to see what is going on the news!

Hey gals! Chatty since I left!!

Wendy, one day I will give SF another try and you'll have to show me where to go.

Kelly, glad to hear things are finally getting done!

Melody, what a sweet story about the veil.

Sarah, yes you do need a passport now to go into Mexico even on a cruise.

About the ads, Wendy, do you remember when we were on yours or my Halloween PTR and it was some sort of zombie stripper ad or something totally wacky?? lol

Steph, I haven't watched the news today. What on earth happened??

Check back later ladies!
