CheryL... You and my 1st born granddaughter have so much in common.. You both were 3 pounds when you were born and you both were born in april! Rosalyn is 6 and she is reading the call of the wild.. she started it sunday night and has two chapters to go.

Anyway I must run. I have to get my errands done and have my doc apt today. I knew YOU guys would understand. You guys are all so great. It's not like I want to give up on her but for the best of the other children I have at home and for MY and others sanity we just need peace in our home and EVERYONE has given her chance after chance after chance. We have taken her to drug and alcohol counseling, regular counseling. I just don't know what else to do anymore!

Only if we can get lunch too.

Of course. Gotta eat. Maybe we can squeeze in a showing of Thunder from Down Under.

Thanks so much to ALL who responded. I am kind of afraid to leave the house, like she is lurking waiting for me leave LOL. But Cheryl I am SO jealous! Happy Birthday early!! And YES wear the button! Be proud. My birthday is in June so we can never go cuz the kids aren't quite out of school yet but I say BE Proud!! Wear it and enjoy all the perks! I would LOVE to be going back esp with the nice weather you will most likely have. I froze my potootie off in Nov!!

The good thing is we are at least going to DL in April as well! Prob right after you 5th through the 10th. But anyway enjoy!!! And yes the little ones are upset. They really look up to their sister but that is part of the problem. I hate that their "role" model is a drug and alcohol addict. NOT the best role model and esp with her running off and her bad grades. NOT setting the best example. Plus she has told them not to listen to us etc.

In a way I am glad she is getting away from them before they get any older. NOT saying they won't rebel on their own but she is def a bad influence.

THIS time Shane said he is not going looking for her like he did before.

Apparenlty she left in just her pj's. Last time she actually ran away and had her phone a paycheck (which she bought drugs and booze with) her backpack full of clothes etc. This time she just snuck out and was out drinking or what have you which we found out she has been probably doing several nights based on the note we found.

No WONDER she is flunking out of school!

She also has a major bladder infection PROB cuz she is having sex. I just hope it is protected!!!

DON'T need THAT mess!

UGH! I don't even want to keep talking about it, it is giving me heartburn!

I can't imagine going through this. One question--have you changed the locks on your house (and on your parents' house?) I would also inform the younger kids' schools that the older daughter is not to have contact with them without you being there.

I used to go all the time when I was younger. Then when DBF and I got together we now go. We usually get the package that includes tickets, dinner, early addmission, a night at the hotel, breakfast and a shirt. He loves it. I like it.

Hi all! Well last night WAS fun! We went to mom's and had our corned beef and it was so YUM! Love that dish although it is practically all salt but SOOO good! Then I brought over a mixed berry pie and it was a nice evening. We made it home in time for the idol and everyone was REALLY good although I didn't like that Megan girl so I hope she goes tonight. But anyway then this morning I get a call from Shane, apparently Lynn has run off AGAIN.

This time she did it to my parents. Apparently after I got back from the girls trip and we found out she stole the money and then searched her room at my parents and found the note saying she was staying out all night drinking and then she lied and said she wasn't well she HAS been doing it cuz she apparently did it AGAIN last night and this time didn't come home. So now the cops are over at my parents house taking yet ANOTHER statement and this time my parents said they are through. They said as soon as she got caught in the act they were done with her and I told Shane once she got caught stealing and after we found out that she was back to drinking and partying that she was done. She is also flunking out of school so I think she is going to have to go live at a youth home because we just CAN'T trust her anymore. I know "I" can't live like that anymore. Shane seems to think she may be on her way to find her mom but we have custody so she can't live with her unless she just plain doesn't go to school but I don't know.

It is just a sad state of affairs. A wasted life. I just know my sanity can't take it anymore! It is pretty bad that I am sitting here once again waiting for the police to call so I can give them her dental and medical info in case they find a body and then after that I have to go get a safe deposit box for my cash because I am afraid she is going to break into my house and steal my loose cash. Seriously sad state of affairs!

i'm asking because i'm looking at booking our familys christmas trip to disneyland and the weekend i want to go is of course the weekend our annual passes expire.

so what to do what to do?

Can i just renew and get the renewal discount?
Like if i do it say 2 weeks before the expiration?
If so can i do it online?
Or over the phone?
Or must it be done in person?

how many 20 questions do i have left?

Too bad you can't get the Costco ones. Those are the best deal around!!

We're going to Sea World earlier in the week. I think on the Sunday before because they have halloween stuff on the weekends in October. Sea World Spooktacular 2009

Sounds like alot of fun.

The weather should be a little warmer during the day, but cool off at night. But not as cold as our ladies trip. Your costumes should have lightweight long sleeves, unless you just want to put something on them when it does cool down. Looking back onto my pictures from last year, the menfolk just had on T-shirts, us girls had light weight sweaters and hoodies on. My DD Kaitlyn was in costume with short sleeves, and never put anything on.

Have fun figuring out what you want to make for their costumes!

I hope you have a wonderful trip, and take good notes on your cruise. I would love to do the Disney cruise with my family. Maybe I should start saving up for that.

I've always wanted to see the Candlelight Processional, and that is the weekend it should be performed. My oldest DD really wants to go too!!!

The Grand is better hands down IMHO. Like my friend said last week, "They need to knock down and rebuild the DLH, but instead they just built another hotel next to it and gave the DLH a better pool." My friend that said that works for a hotel here in Sac. I agree with her, the DLH has seen better days. The Grand is just so magical at Christmas. The rooms are small though. At the DLH my family gets two connecting rooms and that works perfectly for us, but that would be too costly at the Grand for us to do. The Grand sure is nice for location too.
